Set your PS VR2 play area from the PS5 settings before launching Into the Radius 2. The game’s PlayStation Store listing supports sitting and standing play; for either style, PlayStation recommends at least 1 m × 1 m of clear space, plus enough room to move both controllers safely. The official material available does not confirm the game’s in-game locomotion or comfort-menu options.
What you need and which play styles are supported
The PlayStation Store listing identifies a PS VR2 headset and PS VR2 Sense controllers as required for Into the Radius 2. It lists sitting and standing as supported play styles. It does not list roomscale for this game. PlayStation’s general guidance calls for at least 1 m × 1 m of clear space for sitting or standing, with enough additional room to move the controllers without striking anything. PlayStation’s play-area guidance says the space required depends on the game’s play style.

Although PlayStation describes roomscale as requiring 2 m × 2 m or more, the game-specific listing does not say that Into the Radius 2 supports roomscale. Use the play style the game lists rather than assuming the platform’s roomscale option applies.

Set or reset the PS VR2 boundary
- Choose sitting or standing. Pick the style you intend to use and check that the play space gives you room to move the Sense controllers comfortably.
- Clear the area. Move furniture and other obstacles, secure loose cables, and keep pets and objects out of the space where you may move or reach. PlayStation’s setup instructions also direct players to clear obstacles and follow the on-screen directions.
- Open the play-area settings. On PS5, go to Settings > Accessories > PlayStation VR2 > Set Play Area, then follow the on-screen steps to scan and set the boundary.
- Refine the boundary when the room changes. Rescan or adjust the play area if you move furniture or change where you play. PlayStation says the boundary appears as you approach it; leaving the area pauses the game and reveals your surroundings.
- Put on and fit the headset. Follow the console and headset prompts, adjust the headband and scope, and position your eyes centrally in the lenses. These are PS VR2 fit steps, not confirmed game-specific comfort controls. See PlayStation’s PS VR2 features and setup information.
Choose the optional effects to suit your preference
The Store listing marks headset vibration, controller vibration, and controller trigger effects as optional. It does not recommend a particular combination for comfort. Adjust the available effects according to your preference; these options are distinct from the physical play-area boundary and headset fit.

Which in-game comfort settings are confirmed?
The official PlayStation material reviewed for this article does not document Into the Radius 2’s in-game locomotion, turning, vignette, or other comfort-menu options. That means those controls should not be treated as confirmed features based on the platform setup information or Store listing alone. Check the current game menus or game-specific documentation for any options available in your installed version.
Game director Aleksei Shulga wrote, “In a game where a delayed reload can mean starting over, your setup needs to feel like second nature.” The August 24, 2026 PlayStation.Blog announcement presents this as advice about familiarity, not as a technical specification for comfort settings.

Current release-date information
There is a date discrepancy between official PlayStation sources. The live US Store listing checked on October 4, 2026 showed an October 8, 2026 release date, while the August 24, 2026 PlayStation.Blog announcement gave September 24, 2026. For current availability, use the live Store listing rather than the older announcement date: Into the Radius 2 on the US PlayStation Store.
