To use the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro, set its platform selector to PS5 for console play or PC for PC games, choose wired or wireless mode, connect it, then press the PS button. Nacon’s documentation describes profile and dead-zone adjustments and drift troubleshooting, but not a universal stick-calibration routine. You can tune stick response; don’t follow unofficial button sequences that claim to calibrate the sticks.
Connect the controller to a PS5
Use the platform selector and connection mode that match how you want to play. The PS5’s wireless connection uses the included USB dongle, not Bluetooth; the controller’s Bluetooth is for compatible audio devices.

- Set the controller’s platform selector to PS5.
- For a wired connection, select wired mode and connect the supplied USB-A-to-USB-C cable to the console.
- For wireless play, select wireless mode and plug the included USB dongle into the console.
- Press the PS button. If the console reports that the controller disconnected after you switch from wireless to wired, press PS again to reconnect.
If wireless pairing does not establish, check that the receiver is connected, the controller is charged, and the dongle and controller are paired. Nacon says the paired dongle and controller player LEDs should stay steady. For PS5 CFI-1000 series consoles, its guide recommends the front USB port for the dongle. See Nacon’s Revolution 5 Pro guide.

Nacon specifies PC use for XInput-compatible games and names Windows 10 and Windows 11 as compatible operating systems. Its guide says the controller should be detected automatically over a wired connection. PC compatibility is not tested or endorsed by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

- Set the platform selector to PC.
- For wired play, select wired mode and connect the supplied USB-C cable to the computer.
- For wireless play, select wireless mode, plug the dedicated USB dongle into the computer, and press the PS button.
Nacon advises Steam users to set the controller to PC mode. If a PC game does not recognize it, first check the platform selector and confirm that the game supports XInput.
Customize profiles with the companion app
Profile editing uses a different setup from ordinary PC game play. Nacon’s support instructions, updated August 17, 2026, require a wired connection and the controller set to PS5 or PS4 mode—not PC mode—while the app is open.

- CONTROLLER NOT INCLUDED
- Install the Revolution 5 Pro companion app on a PC or Mac.
- Connect the controller to the computer by cable and select Wired mode.
- Set the platform selector to PS5 or PS4, then set the Classic/Advanced selector to Advanced.
- Launch the app and follow its on-screen instructions to edit profiles.
- Exit the app to save your changes. Nacon warns: “If you turn off or disconnect the controller without exiting the app, the changes will not be saved.”
When the controller is in Advanced mode, switch profiles with the Profile button. It comes with four preloaded Advanced profiles:
- Racing/Sports
- FPS: reactive left-stick curve and progressive right-stick curve
- Arcade/Fighting: instant curves
- Infiltration: quick left-stick curve and delayed right-stick curve
Which profile feels best depends on the game and your preference. Change one setting at a time so you can tell which adjustment affects the response.

What “calibration” means for the sticks
The official Nacon materials cited here do not describe a dedicated, universal stick-calibration wizard or a button sequence for calibrating the sticks. They document profile customization, dead-zone behavior, firmware updates, and drift troubleshooting instead. You can adjust how the sticks respond through the app, but that is profile tuning, not a documented calibration routine.

If a game shows unwanted movement while a stick is idle, a small dead zone in that game’s settings may mask slight off-center movement. That is a game-level workaround, not a Nacon calibration procedure. Adjust dead zone and in-game sensitivity deliberately rather than changing several response settings at once.
Troubleshoot apparent stick drift
Try these checks in order, saving or noting custom settings before resetting the controller.

- HIGH SPEED PERFORMANCE: Integrated 3-meter USB connection cable provides a low-latency, plug and play experience.
- HEADSET COMPATIBLE: Connect your RIG headset, or other headset, to the 3.5mm stereo port for instant game audio and chat support.
- Check for a firmware update. Nacon says a previous Y-axis inversion issue associated with drift was fixed by firmware. Use the companion app to check for available updates.
- Review the profile and FPS Pro setting. Nacon says FPS Pro deactivates the joystick dead zone, which can reveal slight movement if a stick does not return exactly to center. Its drift guidance advises against enabling FPS Pro on both sticks at once.
- Test in the game with a small dead zone. If the movement is slight, a game-level dead-zone adjustment may help. This can mask idle input but does not repair a physical fault.
- Reset only if the issue remains. Nacon’s support instructions say to insert a paper clip into the rear reset hole for several seconds. A reset may require you to configure the controller again, so record custom settings first.

The Revolution 5 Pro also has trigger adjustments, but these change trigger travel—not stick calibration. Its trigger stoppers are mechanical: press the button down to unlock it, then hold and slide it to engage or disengage the stopper.
For electronic short- or long-travel adjustment, Nacon’s guide describes two methods:
Recommended Free Tools
- Classic mode: hold Profile and fully press the trigger. One vibration indicates short travel; two indicate long travel.
- Advanced mode: adjust trigger travel in the companion app and save the setting in a profile.
Know the PS5 feature differences
Nacon’s support material says the controller does not provide PS5 haptic feedback or adaptive triggers, and its vibration feature does not work in PS5 games. The guide does describe vibration for PC and PS4 games. The controller uses Hall-effect magnetic sensors in its sticks and triggers, but that feature should not be treated as a guarantee that drift cannot occur.
The guide lists a USB-C cable, dedicated dongle, joystick heads, D-pads, weights, and metal joystick rings among the included accessories. If an included component is missing, Nacon’s support page identifies MyNacon as its spare-parts route; check there for current availability.
