To connect Tebex to a Minecraft server, create a Tebex store for the correct edition, install the official integration for your server platform, enter the store’s secret key, restart the server, and verify the connection before publishing products. Tebex is the current name of Buycraft. For Java Edition, the supported integrations include Bukkit, Spigot, PaperSpigot, Sponge, Bungeecord, Velocity and Fabric. For Bedrock, the documented route is a PocketMine or Nukkit server.
Godlike.Host offers hosted Minecraft Java servers with its own game panel, SFTP access and free DDoS protection, if you would rather not host it yourself.
The technical connection is only one part of a safe launch. Your packages must also comply with Minecraft’s Usage Guidelines, explain exactly what a customer receives, and be tested with a manual payment rather than real money.

What Tebex (formerly Buycraft) does
Tebex is a hosted commerce layer for game servers. It provides a webstore where players can buy packages, subscriptions, coupons, gift cards and other products, while an integration on your server fulfils the purchase. Tebex says its platform handles payments, tax, fraud and chargeback protection; those are vendor claims, so treat the exact coverage and conditions as part of the current Tebex terms.
For a normal package, the flow is:
- A player opens your Tebex store and checks out.
- Tebex records the transaction and sends the fulfilment instruction to your server integration.
- The integration runs the command or other action you configured for the package.
- The player receives the advertised entitlement, subject to your server being online and able to process the instruction.
You can also build your own automation around Tebex webhooks and APIs. That is useful when fulfilment must update another service, a custom account system or a database, but it adds security and reliability work that the standard plugin path avoids.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Choose the edition and integration first
Do not install a plugin simply because its name contains “Buycraft.” Tebex’s current documentation is the relevant source; Buycraft-branded Java plugins are deprecated. Match the integration to the software that actually runs your server.
| Server type | Supported route in the documented setup | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Minecraft Java | Official Tebex integration for Bukkit, Spigot, PaperSpigot, Sponge, Bungeecord, Velocity or Fabric | A running Java server, filesystem and console access, a Tebex store configured for Java Edition, and its secret key |
| Minecraft Bedrock | PocketMine or Nukkit plugin | A running PocketMine or Nukkit server, access to its plugins folder and the Tebex secret key |
Java and Bedrock are not interchangeable for this purpose. If your server is a proxy network, determine whether the integration belongs on the proxy, on individual backend servers, or both according to the platform’s Tebex instructions. Installing a JAR built for a different platform can leave the plugin disabled or unable to connect.

Prepare the Tebex store and server
Server prerequisites
- The server must be running the edition and platform supported by the integration you plan to install.
- You need permission to stop and start the server, read its console, and place files in the server’s plugins directory.
- Keep a copy of your server configuration before changing plugins or fulfilment commands.
- Plan how you will handle refunds, disputes and expired subscriptions before accepting customers.
Store prerequisites
- Create or open a Tebex store and select the Minecraft edition that matches your server.
- Decide which products are permitted under Minecraft’s Usage Guidelines before writing package copy.
- Locate the secret key in the Tebex control panel under the game-server integrations area. Treat it like a password: do not paste it into public screenshots, commit it to source control or send it in chat.
Use one store connection for the server environment you intend to sell on. If you have separate test and production servers, keep their keys and package commands clearly separated so a test purchase cannot be fulfilled on the live server.
Set up Tebex on a Java server
1. Confirm the platform and download the current integration
Use the official Tebex plugin for the exact platform: Bukkit, Spigot, PaperSpigot, Sponge, Bungeecord, Velocity or Fabric. Do not rely on an old Buycraft-branded JAR when current Tebex documentation provides a replacement. Check that the integration’s supported server versions include the version you run before copying anything to the server.
2. Stop the server and install the JAR
- Stop the server cleanly from its console or hosting control panel.
- Open the server’s
pluginsdirectory, or the platform-specific plugin location described by the integration documentation. - Copy the downloaded Tebex JAR into that directory without renaming it in a way that obscures its version.
- Start the server once so the integration can create its configuration files, then stop it again if the instructions require you to edit the generated configuration before connecting.
Do not unzip a plugin JAR or place it in the world folder. A missing file, a corrupt download or a JAR intended for another platform will normally show up as a load error in the startup log.

Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
3. Enter the secret key
Open the Tebex configuration file created by the integration and enter the store secret key in the documented key field. Copy it exactly. A leading or trailing space is enough to prevent authentication. Keep the key in the server configuration rather than putting it into a public command block, tutorial screenshot or repository.
4. Restart and verify the connection
- Save the configuration and start the server.
- Read the startup console for the message that the Tebex plugin has been enabled and connected.
- Run the integration’s documented information or status command from the console or in-game, using the exact command and permission shown in Tebex’s current guide.
- Confirm in the Tebex control panel that the game-server integration is online or otherwise reporting the expected connection.
A successful enable message alone is not proof that the store key is valid. Verify both sides: the server log should show a successful connection, and the control panel should identify the intended server.
5. Keep the integration maintainable
Record the plugin version, server platform and date of installation. When you update the server software, check Tebex’s compatibility notes before updating or downgrading the integration. A platform update can change command permissions or configuration formats even when the store itself has not changed.
Set up Tebex on Bedrock with PocketMine or Nukkit
The documented Bedrock path is a PocketMine or Nukkit plugin. It is not the same installation as a Java plugin.
- Download the current Tebex/Buycraft integration intended for your PocketMine or Nukkit platform.
- Stop the server and place the downloaded plugin file in that server’s
pluginsfolder. - Start the server and allow it to generate its configuration.
- Link the server with the Tebex secret key by using the Buycraft command specified in the current integration instructions.
- Run the documented in-game verification command and check the server log for a successful enable and connection message.
If the plugin loads but cannot link, re-enter the key without extra spaces and verify that you downloaded the PocketMine or Nukkit build rather than a Java build. Keep the console output from the first startup; it is the fastest way to distinguish a missing dependency from an authentication problem.

Create packages that are clear, fulfilable and compliant
A package is both a commercial offer and a server-side instruction. Write the customer-facing description before adding commands so you can check that the advertised result is exactly what the integration will deliver.
Information every product page should state
- The precise entitlement, rank, cosmetic, item or service the player receives.
- The price and currency, including whether tax is added at checkout.
- Whether the purchase is one-time, time-limited, recurring or a season pass.
- When the entitlement starts and what happens when it expires or a subscription is cancelled.
- Any server restrictions, prerequisites or delivery delay that a buyer needs to know.
- Refund and dispute limitations in language a player can understand.
Tebex lists support for items, subscriptions, season passes and downloadable content on its server page. Availability of a product type does not make every use of it permissible under Minecraft’s rules; the gameplay effect still matters.
Examples of safer package designs
| Package approach | Gameplay impact | Fulfilment approach | Compliance question to answer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cosmetic title, chat style or visual effect | Primarily cosmetic | Server command run by the integration | Does it remain cosmetic rather than improving competitive ability? |
| Non-competitive convenience entitlement | Useful, but not an advantage over competing players | One-time or timed command | Could it alter combat, progression or access in a way that disadvantages non-paying players? |
| Server-wide donation-goal reward | Benefits the community rather than only donors | Goal trigger followed by a server-wide command | Is the reward available to the server community instead of being a donor-only usable item? |
| Virtual currency with no cash value | Depends on what it buys | Plugin command or API workflow | Does it have no real-world value and no cash-out path, and does its use avoid a competitive advantage? |
| Subscription or season pass | Can combine recurring or time-limited entitlements | Recurring package commands and expiry handling | Are renewal, duration, cancellation and expiry clearly disclosed before purchase? |
Use package names that explain the result instead of vague labels such as “upgrade.” A buyer should not have to infer whether the package grants a cosmetic, a rank, a temporary entitlement or a recurring charge.
Configure fulfilment and verify it without charging real money
Use plugin commands for straightforward products
The usual setup attaches one or more server commands to a Tebex package. Use the exact command syntax and permission requirements for your server software. Test the command directly on a controlled account before making the package public, because a typo can produce a paid order that the server cannot fulfil.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsCheck all of the following for each package:
- The command targets the intended player identifier format.
- The executing console or integration account has sufficient permission.
- The command is safe to run more than once if a delivery is retried.
- Timed or recurring products have a defined expiry or renewal behaviour.
- The result matches the store description on a fresh account.
Use Tebex’s manual-payment test
Tebex’s FAQ directs creators to use a manual payment for command testing and explicitly warns never to test with real money. Create a non-public or clearly marked test package, perform the manual-payment test through the Tebex controls, and watch both the Tebex order status and the Minecraft console.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
- Choose a test account that is not a normal customer account.
- Confirm the package’s command and expected entitlement before initiating the test.
- Use the Tebex manual-payment function rather than a card, wallet or other real payment method.
- Verify that the order changes to the expected paid/test state and that the integration runs the command.
- Check the player in-game and inspect the console for errors or duplicate execution.
- Remove or disable the test package and clean up the test entitlement before launch.
Never substitute a real card transaction for this test. A real payment can create tax, refund and dispute consequences even when the amount is small.
Add webhooks or APIs only when the standard integration is not enough
Webhooks notify an endpoint about events such as payments, refunds and disputes. They are appropriate when you need to synchronise Tebex with a custom account system, grant access in another application or record events in your own infrastructure.

- Validate the endpoint before enabling production delivery.
- Keep the endpoint private and authenticate requests according to the current Tebex webhook documentation.
- Return a 2XX response after your handler has accepted the event. A non-success response can cause delivery retries or mark the endpoint as failing.
- Make handlers idempotent so a retried event cannot grant the same entitlement repeatedly.
- Log an event identifier, processing result and error reason without exposing secret keys or unnecessary personal data.
Verify the basket, not just the event name
For checkout integrations, verify that the webhook basket contains the expected items and amount before fulfilment. Do not grant a high-value entitlement merely because an event says “payment”; compare the package identifiers, quantities and total against what your system intended to sell. Handle refund and dispute events explicitly so your records do not continue to show an entitlement that your published terms say should be removed.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Understand Tebex plan costs and feature differences
Tebex’s current server page lists the following plans. Prices and included features can change, so verify the live page before publishing a price comparison or committing to a plan.
| Plan | Monthly fee | Transaction fee | Features identified on the current server page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | Free | Flat 5% | Store and payment features |
| Plus | £12.49 per month | 5% | Store and payment features, plus HTML/CSS editing, abandoned-basket recovery, follow-ups and custom-domain support |
The figures above are recurring plan terms as listed by Tebex, not a guarantee that taxes, payment-method charges or future pricing will be identical. Compare the extra monthly fee with the value of the customization and recovery tools you will actually use. A small server may prefer the free plan until its store needs custom styling or follow-up campaigns; a larger operation may value those tools enough to justify Plus.

Minecraft rules that affect what you can sell
Minecraft’s Usage Guidelines say you may host a server and charge for access if you follow the requirements in that section. The rules are separate from Tebex’s technical features, so a package can be easy to configure and still be unsuitable for sale.
Access and pricing
- Limit access to players who own a genuine paid copy of Minecraft.
- If you charge for server access, keep the access price the same for everyone.
- Tell players about content and pricing before they join the server or sign in.
Gameplay balance
- Paid entitlements must not ruin other players’ experience.
- Do not create a competitive advantage that paying players can use against non-paying players.
- Cosmetics and other non-competitive entitlements are easier to evaluate, but review each effect in the context of your server.
- Donations may be accepted without donor-only usable rewards; a server-wide reward may be offered when a donation goal is met.
- Virtual currency must have no real-world value and no route to cash out.
Content, privacy and disclosure
- Keep server and store content suitable for all ages.
- Handle privacy and data-protection responsibilities for customer information.
- Provide purchase history for real-money transactions.
- Disclose sponsored or paid influencer relationships.
- Do not present the Tebex store as official Mojang or Microsoft commerce. Make clear who operates the server and store.
Mojang states that its guidelines may change. Recheck the live Usage Guidelines before launch and whenever you introduce a new product category. If a package’s effect is difficult to classify, redesign it toward a cosmetic or server-wide benefit rather than relying on an aggressive interpretation.
Refunds, disputes and operational responsibilities
Tebex advertises payment, tax, fraud and chargeback handling, but you remain responsible for describing your products accurately and responding to player questions. Publish a readable refund policy that matches the actual entitlement lifecycle. State what happens to a rank, cosmetic, currency balance or subscription after a refund or dispute, and ensure your technical workflow can process the relevant Tebex event.
Keep records of package definitions, price changes, manual tests, fulfilment errors and customer communications. Restrict administrative access to the store and server, rotate credentials when staff change, and avoid storing more personal information than you need to deliver the purchase and meet your legal obligations.
Troubleshoot a server that will not connect
The plugin does not appear in the startup log
- Confirm the JAR is in the correct plugins directory.
- Check that it is built for your exact platform rather than another Java platform or Bedrock implementation.
- Review the first error and any missing-dependency message before trying a different version.
- Restart after correcting the file; a reload command may not fully initialise a payment integration.
The plugin loads but authentication fails
- Copy the secret key again from the Tebex game-server integrations area.
- Remove leading and trailing spaces and check for accidental line breaks.
- Make sure the configuration was saved to the server instance that is actually running.
- Verify that the store is configured for the same Minecraft edition as the integration.
The order is paid but the player receives nothing
- Check the Tebex order and the server console at the same time.
- Confirm the package command uses the correct player identifier and has the required permission.
- Run the command manually with a test account to isolate a command problem from a Tebex connection problem.
- For webhooks, confirm the endpoint returned a 2XX response and that basket-item and amount checks did not reject the event.
- Do not repeatedly re-run a fulfilment command until you know whether it is idempotent; duplicate execution can grant an entitlement more than once.
A server update broke the integration
Record the server version and integration version from the last known-good deployment. Consult the current Tebex compatibility guidance and update the integration only after taking a configuration backup. If you run a proxy network, verify which layer should process the package command rather than assuming that a backend plugin can see every player.
Launch checklist
- Choose Java or Bedrock and identify the exact supported platform.
- Create or configure the matching Tebex store.
- Copy the secret key from the game-server integrations area without exposing it.
- Install the current official integration, not a deprecated Buycraft-branded Java plugin.
- Restart and confirm the enable and connection messages in the console and control panel.
- Create packages with precise price, duration, renewal, refund and entitlement descriptions.
- Review every package against access, competitive-balance, currency, content, privacy and disclosure requirements.
- Run a Tebex manual-payment test; never use real money for testing.
- Check fulfilment on a test account and remove test data.
- Secure and validate any webhook endpoint, require a 2XX response and verify basket contents and amount.
- Publish customer support, purchase-history and refund information before opening the store.
- Recheck Tebex plan pricing and Minecraft’s live Usage Guidelines before launch.
What a successful setup looks like
A complete setup is more than a store URL and an installed plugin. The correct integration is connected to the intended server, a documented package produces exactly the advertised result, a manual payment has proven the command path without a real charge, and each product has passed a Minecraft compliance review. Keep the secret key private, monitor fulfilment and webhook errors, and treat Tebex and Minecraft policy pages as live documentation rather than permanent specifications.
