What you need before opening Art Store
Samsung Art Store is a television feature rather than a separate app that works on every Samsung Smart TV. It is built into selected Art TVs, most notably The Frame in Samsung’s product guidance, with support also documented for particular models such as the OLED S95H in the United States. Other markets publish different compatible lineups, so the model name alone is not enough to establish eligibility.

Check the exact model code, model year and country version of your television. Samsung’s US product page says Art Mode is available on The Frame TVs and the OLED S95H, while Samsung Australia’s subscription instructions list a different lineup and warn that availability depends on the model. Use your regional model guide when the Art tile is missing rather than assuming the feature has been removed.

Start with Samsung’s US Art TV overview if you purchased in the United States. Owners elsewhere should use their country’s Samsung support site; the Australian guidance is at Samsung Australia.
Internet access and a Samsung account
The TV must be online so it can load the store and verify your account. Sign in with a Samsung account on the television. Samsung Canada’s setup guidance also lists acceptance of the Smart Hub terms and the Art Store terms as requirements, so complete those consent screens when they appear.
Keep the remote and a payment method available
Browsing free artwork does not require you to buy a membership. If you later choose a paid plan, the television’s checkout asks you to select an available plan and add a payment method. Samsung’s US instructions describe completing that process on the TV; its product overview also indicates that checkout may be offered on the TV or through a QR code. The plans, billing interval, currency and any trial are market-specific, so do not assume that an offer shown in another country will appear on your set.

- Identify the model and region. Find the model code in the TV’s support or information screen, on the original packaging, or on the product label. Compare that code with the local Samsung compatibility guidance. A television imported from another country may show different services even when its hardware looks identical.
- Connect the TV to the internet. From Home, open the network settings, select your Wi-Fi network or wired connection, and finish the connection test. A working connection is needed to retrieve artwork, validate your account and display current membership options.
- Sign in to your Samsung account. Open the account sign-in prompt and enter your credentials. If the TV asks you to create an account, complete that process first. Art Store access is tied to the signed-in account, not simply to the remote control or the television’s serial number.
- Accept the service terms. Review and accept the Smart Hub terms and, where shown, the Art Store terms. Samsung Canada lists both as part of the Art Mode setup requirements. If you decline a required term, the store may not load until you return to the account or terms screen and accept it.
- Open Art or Art Store from Home. Press the Home button and select the tile labeled Art or Art Store. Samsung uses both labels in its regional documentation. On compatible models, the Art area can include store artwork, your own photo uploads and free collections.
- Wait for the catalog to populate. The first load can take longer than later visits because the TV is retrieving the current catalog and regional availability. If the page remains empty, use the troubleshooting checks below before concluding that the model is unsupported.
How to browse collections and display an artwork
Once the Art area opens, browse the artwork and collections presented for your account and region. Samsung controls which pieces are available, and the catalog can change. A collection visible on a friend’s television, or in a web page from another country, is not proof that it will appear on yours.
Distinguish store art from your own images
The Art section can bring together three types of content: artwork supplied through Art Store, free collections or streams supplied by Samsung, and personal photos that you have uploaded to the TV. Read the title and membership indicator on each item before selecting it so you know whether it is part of the free selection or requires membership.
Open an item and use the on-screen controls
Select an artwork thumbnail with the remote to open its detail view. From there, follow the on-screen command to display it in Art Mode or return to the collection. Menu wording is software-dependent, so follow the command shown on your TV instead of a button sequence copied from a different model year.
What “free” means
Samsung makes some artwork available without a paid membership, but the size and refresh schedule are not global constants. Samsung UK’s support page, updated July 29, 2025, describes a monthly stream of 20 pieces selected from more than 2,600 works in that market. Samsung’s UK product page has also described 30 free monthly stream artworks, demonstrating why a number from one Samsung page should not be treated as a universal entitlement. Artworks are subject to change.

| Access type | What you can expect | Account or payment requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Free artwork or stream | A limited selection or curated stream offered on eligible TVs; quantity and refresh rules depend on market and can change. | Internet connection and Samsung account; no paid membership for the items Samsung marks as free. |
| Art Store membership | Samsung describes membership as access to the full premium catalog available for your region. | Choose an available plan and complete Samsung’s on-screen checkout with a payment method. |
| Personal photos | Your own images displayed in Art Mode on The Frame. | No Art Store membership; add through SmartThings or a USB device. |
Subscribe when you want the premium catalog
Do not subscribe merely to open Art Store. First browse the free items and check that the catalog and presentation suit you. If you decide that you want the broader premium selection, begin enrollment on the TV.
- Open the membership area. In Art Store on The Frame, go to My Art Store > Membership. This is the membership path described in Samsung’s regional support instructions.
- Review the plans shown for your account. The TV displays the plans currently offered in your country and for that model. Compare the term, renewal language and amount shown on this screen; Samsung’s published pages do not establish one current worldwide price.
- Select the plan and choose Subscribe. Confirm that the account shown is the one you want associated with the membership, then select the on-screen subscribe command.
- Add a payment method and finish checkout. Enter payment details on the TV when requested. Samsung’s US overview says the checkout may alternatively use a QR code, which transfers the transaction to another device. Follow the method actually presented on your television.
- Return to the catalog. After confirmation, go back to Art Store and open a premium item. If the membership badge does not update immediately, wait for the TV to refresh while it remains connected to the internet, then sign out and back in if the on-screen instructions suggest it.
Prices, billing plans, introductory offers and cancellation rules are not uniform across countries. Treat the amount and renewal terms displayed during your own checkout as authoritative for your account, rather than copying a figure from a US, UK, Canadian or Australian page.
Use personal photos instead of store artwork
The Frame can show your own pictures without an Art Store membership. This is a separate workflow: you are transferring files to the TV, not unlocking Samsung’s catalog.
Transfer photos with SmartThings
- Add The Frame to the SmartThings app and make sure the phone and TV can communicate on the same account.
- In SmartThings, open the TV under Devices.
- Choose Art Mode > Add Your Photos.
- Select the images you want to send, apply any artistic effect offered by the app, and save them to The Frame.
- Open the TV’s personal-photo area in Art Mode to display an image or start the available slideshow.
Samsung’s US support instructions for this process are available at How to get artwork for the Samsung Frame TV. The exact effect choices and app screens can change as SmartThings is updated.

Transfer photos from a USB drive
- Copy the photos you want to use to a USB storage device.
- Connect the USB device to the One Connect Box.
- Put the TV in Art Mode and open My Collection.
- Select the USB device, choose the desired images and save them to the TV.
- Open My Photos in Art Mode to find the saved files.
This route is useful when you do not want to use the SmartThings app. It does not add the images to Samsung’s online store or make premium store art available.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Regional differences you should expect
Samsung’s support pages are written for particular countries, so their figures and model examples should remain in that context.
| Samsung page | Scope of the information | Useful detail |
|---|---|---|
| United States Art TV overview | US product information | States that Art Mode is available on The Frame TVs and the OLED S95H; describes Art Store, personal photos and free collections on compatible TVs. |
| Canada Art Mode support | Canadian setup guidance, updated August 26, 2025 | Lists internet access, Samsung account sign-in and acceptance of Smart Hub and Art Store terms as setup requirements. |
| UK Art Store support | UK service description, updated July 29, 2025 | Describes a stream of 20 pieces each month curated from 2,600-plus available works; those figures are UK-specific and can change. |
| Australia subscription support | Australian subscription guidance | Provides a local compatible-lineup example and cautions that support depends on the model. |
These pages should not be merged into a single global specification. A free-stream count, compatible model or checkout option published for one country may differ on another country’s service.

Troubleshoot a missing Art tile or empty catalog
The Art or Art Store tile is missing
- Recheck the exact model code against your local Samsung support page. Support is model-, year- and region-dependent.
- Confirm that the television is connected to the internet and that its software is up to date through the TV’s settings.
- Verify that you are signed in to a Samsung account.
- Review Smart Hub and Art Store terms again. An incomplete consent step can prevent the service from appearing.
- Power-cycle the TV and reopen Home after the network connection is restored.
The store opens but artwork does not load
- Run the TV’s network test and try another connection if the test fails.
- Remain on the Art page long enough for the catalog to synchronize; a first load can be slower than subsequent visits.
- Check whether Samsung has changed the regional catalog or temporarily removed items. Catalog artwork and free selections are not permanent.
- Sign out of the Samsung account, restart the TV, and sign back in if the service repeatedly returns to an empty page.
A premium item remains locked after subscribing
- Confirm that the membership was completed under the same Samsung account currently signed in on the TV.
- Open My Art Store > Membership and check the status shown there.
- Refresh the Art Store while the TV is online. If Samsung’s checkout used a QR code, verify that the web checkout reached its confirmation screen.
- Use Samsung support for the country where the account and purchase were created; billing and entitlement systems are regional.
Your personal photos do not appear
- For SmartThings, verify that the correct TV is selected under Devices and that the transfer finished before leaving Add Your Photos.
- For USB transfer, make sure the drive is plugged into the One Connect Box, then repeat Art Mode > My Collection and save the files before looking in My Photos.
- Check that you are browsing the personal-photo area rather than the store catalog.
Which option fits your use case?
| Your priority | Best route | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Try gallery content before paying | Open Art and use the free items offered on your TV. | You can evaluate the presentation and current regional selection without a membership. |
| Access Samsung’s broader selection | Enroll through My Art Store > Membership. | Samsung positions membership as access to the full premium catalog for the eligible region. |
| Display family photos or your own designs | Use SmartThings or USB transfer. | The Frame supports personal images independently of Art Store membership. |
| Decide whether a television supports the feature | Check the exact local model guide. | Compatibility and menus differ by model year, country and software version. |
The practical starting point is therefore simple: verify the model, connect and sign in, open Art, and inspect the free content that your own television offers. Subscribe only after the local catalog and the terms shown during checkout answer your needs.
