Add a game to your PlayStation Store wishlist
- Open the game’s PlayStation Store page on your PS5, in the PlayStation App, or in a PC browser.
- Select the heart icon to add the game. Sony says adding your first item creates a wishlist if you do not already have one.

Enable wishlist alerts on PS5
- From the PS5 home screen, open Settings > Notifications > Wishlist Updates.
- Enable the wishlist update pop-ups. Adjust when they appear or are suppressed if you do not want them interrupting games, videos, or broadcasts.
Sony describes Wishlist Updates as the category where you can “See when there are updates to items on your wishlist.” Its support page also explains the console’s pop-up controls: How to check or delete notifications on PS5 consoles.
Enable wishlist alerts in the PlayStation App
- Open the PlayStation App and tap the Settings gear.
- Go to Push Notifications > Accounts and Offers > Wishlist Updates and turn on the setting.
The menu path above is from Sony’s April 20, 2026 German regional blog post. English wording and availability may vary by app version or region, so use the closest wishlist-update option shown in your app. Sony’s PlayStation App support page covers app notification settings.

Where alerts appear and what they can cover
PS5 pop-ups appear on the console; app push notifications appear on your phone. These are complementary options, not alternatives that Sony identifies as faster or more reliable. Wishlist updates can cover price reductions or discounts, as well as games added to the PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium catalog. The available offers and catalog titles can vary by region, and Sony does not promise a particular alert time.
If push notifications are off, Sony says you can still review notifications in the PlayStation App’s notification list on its Play screen. An alert is a prompt to check the Store, not a guarantee that an offer will remain available at the same price.

If wishlist alerts are not appearing
- Check the wishlist: Confirm the game’s Store page shows it as wishlisted.
- Check the relevant setting: Enable Wishlist Updates on the PS5 or in the app route you use; settings for one route do not turn on the other.
- Check interruption controls: On PS5, review whether pop-ups are suppressed during games, videos, or broadcasts.
- Check the app’s notification list: If app push is disabled, look for notifications on the Play screen.
- Allow for regional and version differences: Menu names, feature availability, and offers can differ. Sony’s detailed wishlist instructions are from a German regional blog post dated April 20, 2026.
