You can run a 24/7 Punjabi songs broadcast through OBS by creating a YouTube encoder stream, connecting OBS with the stream URL and key, preparing a scene with music and visuals you are authorized to use, and monitoring the broadcast continuously. The hardest part is not the encoder setup: you need rights to every recording and composition, and YouTube may interrupt a live stream that matches third-party content even when you believe you have permission.
Before you start: check channel access and music rights
Confirm YouTube Live is available
Verify the channel and check that it has no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. First-time live-stream activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable it before your planned launch. See YouTube’s encoder setup guide for current eligibility and setup details.

Clear the songs and visuals for this use
Permission should cover both the sound recording and the underlying composition. Confirm that each is cleared for continuous YouTube live streaming, the territories where you expect viewers, and any monetization you plan to use. A song being popular, publicly playable, purchased for personal listening, or included in a streaming-service playlist does not establish permission for a YouTube broadcast. The specific Punjabi tracks, rights holders, and territories determine what clearance is needed.

If it identifies a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder or interrupt or terminate it if the content remains or the channel receives a copyright or Community Guidelines strike. A license alone may not prevent an interruption: the rights holder may also need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Arrange that with the relevant rights holder when required. Create the YouTube stream and connect OBS
- Create or schedule the broadcast: In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live. Create a stream or schedule an event, then set its title, description, visibility, and other stream options. Scheduling lets you promote the event before it starts. See YouTube’s live stream settings guide.
- Copy the connection details: In Live Control Room, copy the stream URL and stream key for the event. A stream key is like a password: do not publish it or show it on screen. Enter it only in OBS’s stream settings. If it is exposed, reset it in Live Control Room and update OBS.
- Set OBS to use YouTube: Open OBS’s stream settings, choose YouTube as the service if available, and enter the copied key. If OBS asks for a server or URL, use the stream URL supplied by YouTube. OBS labels can vary by version; use the current OBS release and verify the service and connection details against the values shown in Live Control Room.
- Build the scene: Add a media source for the authorized music playback and a static or animated visual cleared for broadcast. Check OBS’s audio mixer while the track plays so the intended audio source is active and not clipping. Disable or silence notification sounds and verify that no unintended desktop or microphone audio is being captured.
Choose encoder settings for a stable broadcast
YouTube’s current encoder guidance recommends RTMP or RTMPS delivery, H.264 video with constant bitrate (CBR), and a two-second keyframe interval that must not exceed four seconds. YouTube recommends RTMPS for encrypted delivery. For stereo audio, use AAC or MP3 and a 128 Kbps audio bitrate. These are YouTube recommendations; confirm OBS’s output settings and test the full setup before relying on it for continuous operation. See YouTube’s encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions.
Use a profile your upload can sustain
The following are YouTube’s published H.264 bitrate recommendations. Bitrate is the video stream rate; allow additional upload capacity for overhead and normal network variation.

| Output | YouTube-recommended H.264 video bitrate |
|---|---|
| 720p at 30 fps | 8 Mbps |
| 720p at 60 fps | 8 Mbps |
| 1080p at 30 fps | 14 Mbps |
| 1080p at 60 fps | 17 Mbps |
YouTube recommends upload capacity with 20% headroom beyond the stream bitrate. For example, a 14 Mbps video bitrate calls for at least 16.8 Mbps of stable upload capacity before accounting for other network use. A speed-test result is not proof that your connection can sustain that rate continuously; test at the location and time you will stream. For a mostly static music visual, a higher frame rate may not add much visually, but do not lower the bitrate on that assumption without testing.
Test the stream, then launch it
- Play representative music and moving visuals in OBS, not just a silent still image. Confirm audio is audible and clean, the picture is correct, and notifications or unrelated audio are absent.
- Start the encoder and inspect the Live Control Room preview before making the broadcast public. Check that YouTube receives the intended resolution and that audio and video remain in sync.
- Review YouTube’s stream-health status and messages. If you see dropped frames or unstable delivery, lower the output profile or resolve the network issue, then test again.
- When the preview and health indicators are satisfactory, start the broadcast in YouTube or let the scheduled event begin according to its controls. Keep Live Control Room available to monitor the stream.
YouTube advises setting up and testing in advance, checking the preview, monitoring stream quality, and verifying that any local archive file is growing. Its streaming tips recommend 20% upload headroom.

- PLUG IN AND HEAR SOUND IN SECONDS - USB Type-A connector with a 3.5mm stereo headphone output and a separate 3.5mm mono microphone input. No drivers, no software, no external power - the adapter is USB bus-powered and is recognized as a standard USB audio device.
- WORKS ON WINDOWS, MAC AND LINUX - Driverless on Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP/Server 2003/Vista/7/8, Linux and Mac OSX, and compliant with the USB Audio Device Class 1.0 specification, so any system that supports class-compliant USB audio will see it. Select it as the sound output and input device after plugging it in.
- TWO JACKS, TWO JOBS - The green jack is stereo OUT for headphones or powered speakers; the pink jack is mono microphone IN for a 3.5mm mic. It does NOT support 4-pole headsets on a single combo plug, it does NOT power passive speakers, and it does NOT add surround sound - it is a stereo 2-channel adapter.
- FOR LAPTOPS AND DESKTOPS THAT NEED AN AUDIO PORT BACK - Adds a headphone and mic port to a laptop, desktop, or mini PC whose onboard jack has failed or was never there. Managed and work-issued computers can block new USB audio devices by policy - check with your IT department before ordering for a company machine.
- SABRENT SUPPORT AND WARRANTY - What is in the box: one USB audio sound adapter. Backed by a 1-year limited warranty, extended to 2 years when you register within 90 days on the manufacturer's website.
Keep OBS running around the clock
A local OBS stream depends on the computer, power, internet connection, playback source, and encoder process all remaining available. Use a wired network if practical, prevent the computer from sleeping, and make sure the machine can sustain encoding continuously. Keep an eye on OBS and YouTube’s stream-health messages, and have a plan to restart the encoder and reconnect if a failure occurs.
- A UPS for the computer and router can help through a local power interruption. It will not fix an internet outage, computer fault, or OBS failure; size it for the connected equipment and the runtime you need.
- Use YouTube’s local archive guidance carefully: streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That does not establish that one uninterrupted 24-hour broadcast will be saved as one replay. If replay availability matters, plan an operating pattern within YouTube’s documented archive window and verify current Live Control Room behavior.
- Do not assume OBS will recover from every crash or that a playlist will loop correctly on your machine. Test the current OBS version, operating system, playback source, and restart procedure before leaving the stream unattended.
Troubleshoot common setup problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube does not receive a signal | Wrong stream key or URL, encoder not started, or Live activation still pending | Compare OBS’s connection details with the current event in Live Control Room; confirm live access is enabled and start the encoder. |
| Preview buffers or stream health is poor | Upload capacity is insufficient or fluctuating | Check that stable upload capacity exceeds the stream bitrate by YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom. Test a lower resolution or bitrate if necessary. |
| Audio is missing or unintended sounds are audible | OBS is capturing the wrong device, the media source is silent, or desktop audio includes notifications | Play a representative track, inspect OBS’s audio mixer, confirm the intended source, and silence unwanted system audio. |
| Stream is replaced, interrupted, or terminated | YouTube detected third-party content or applied a copyright or Community Guidelines action | Review Live Control Room alerts and confirm permissions for the exact recording and composition. Ask the rights holder whether Content ID allowlisting is needed. |
| The computer stops broadcasting after a while | Sleep settings, power loss, internet failure, or encoder/playback instability | Disable sleep, inspect power and network reliability, test the playback loop, and rehearse a restart. A UPS only addresses some power interruptions. |
