1. Place and aim the projector
This guide covers the XGIMI Elfin Flip Laser, model WM03R—not the separate non-Laser Elfin Flip. XGIMI lists a 1.2:1 throw ratio, 16:9 aspect ratio, and image-size range of 40–200 inches; it recommends 60–120 inches for the best viewing experience. - Set the projector on a stable surface facing the intended wall or screen.
- Open and angle the integrated stand if needed to position the image.
- Keep the projector as square to the screen as practical. XGIMI says the side throw angle should not exceed 25 degrees for accurate calibration.
- Power on the projector and allow its automatic focus and keystone features to adjust the picture.
XGIMI describes autofocus as a built-in feature; the reviewed guidance does not establish a separate manual-focus control sequence for this model. If the image looks soft after the automatic adjustment, first check that the projector is stable and aimed as intended, then allow it to adjust again after repositioning.
2. Correct a skewed image
If the picture is still geometrically distorted, use the remote to open Quick settings and choose Auto keystone correction. XGIMI documents automatic correction as well as manual vertical and horizontal keystone adjustment up to ±40 degrees. For more control, it recommends four-point manual correction. - Press the remote’s Quick settings button.
- Select Auto keystone correction and let the projector adjust the image.
- If the result still needs adjustment, open the on-screen keystone controls and make manual vertical or horizontal corrections. Use four-point correction when you need to adjust individual corners.
Menu labels can differ by software version or region. If the wording on your screen differs, follow the current on-screen controls or consult the electronic manual for your version.
3. Use Screen Alignment Assist only when its conditions are met
Screen Alignment Assist is a separate option from autofocus and ordinary keystone correction. XGIMI’s product page says to enable the feature in system settings, scan its QR code, and use the phone to move the projected image until all four sides extend beyond the screen edge; the projector then adjusts the image to fit. XGIMI Support says the feature can match a 16:9 or 16:10 screen, but its documented setup has specific requirements. See XGIMI Support’s Screen Alignment feature guidance.

- The projected image must cover the full screen and be larger than half of the projector’s default image.
- The screen must have a black border for the feature to detect its edges.
If the screen lacks a black border or the image does not meet those size conditions, use auto keystone or manual four-point correction instead.
