Yes—you can run a prerecorded YouTube loop without keeping your PC or home upload connection online for the broadcast. Upload your authorized videos to a cloud playout service, connect it to YouTube Live with your stream key, then check the preview and stream health. Your home connection still has to upload the files and access the service; the live feed itself comes from the cloud. That can remove a slow home upload link from the broadcast path, but it does not guarantee uninterrupted streaming or better playback for viewers.
What a cloud loop stream changes—and what it does not
YouTube receives a live video feed from an encoder. That encoder can be software running on your computer, or a cloud service that plays files you have uploaded. YouTube’s encoder directory lists Gyre and Upstream for cloud-based 24/7 prerecorded streaming, though that listing does not establish their current prices, plan limits, regional routing, reliability, or data-handling practices. Cloud playout is useful when the home upload connection cannot reliably sustain a live video bitrate or when you do not want a computer running the encoder. It does not remove the initial upload, let you manage the service offline, or ensure a particular route or playback quality for viewers in India. There is no established India-specific broadband benchmark or ISP-to-cloud routing comparison here, so test from your own connection and check any provider’s regional and performance claims carefully.

YouTube’s current live-stream requirements include a verified channel, no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days, and meeting the minimum age of 16, along with compliance with YouTube policies. Use content you are authorized to broadcast
Make sure you have the necessary rights for every video, song, sound recording, image, and other element in the loop. Copyright matches or strikes can interrupt a live stream or restrict live streaming. A continuous loop is not, by itself, a guarantee of policy compliance or monetization. If YouTube restricts a channel from live streaming, its rules prohibit using another channel to evade that restriction. Review YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.
Prepare the playlist and decide whether you need a replay
Pick the files and order you want, then check the cloud service’s current supported formats, file-size limits, playlist controls, and transition behavior. These vary by provider; a particular media format is not a YouTube live requirement simply because a service supports it.

Choose the intended continuous-stream length with YouTube’s archive behavior in mind. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; its guidance does not promise automatic archiving for longer broadcasts. If a durable replay matters, plan a separate recording or a shorter broadcast rather than relying on an archive for a stream that exceeds that limit. YouTube Help: Archive live streams
Create the YouTube stream and connect the cloud encoder
- Open YouTube Studio → Go Live. In Live Control Room, create a stream or schedule one. Set its title, visibility, audience, and other stream details for your channel.
- Copy the ingest details. Copy the stream URL and private stream key shown by YouTube into the cloud service’s YouTube destination or encoder settings. Treat the key like a password: anyone who has it may be able to send a feed to your channel. Do not publish it or share it in screenshots.
- Configure the cloud playlist. Upload the authorized media, arrange the loop or playlist, select YouTube as the destination, and enter the stream URL and key as requested by the provider. Check that the account, destination, and intended playlist are correct before starting.
- Start the cloud broadcast and verify it in Live Control Room. Keep Live Control Room open for the first launch. Wait for YouTube’s preview, then confirm that the picture and sound are present and that stream health does not show a problem before making the stream public or sharing it.

Choose bitrate and other live settings, then test
Use the cloud encoder’s available options and the quality you actually need. YouTube’s H.264 recommendations below are configuration guidance, not proof that a given cloud service offers each setting or that your home connection can sustain it. In a cloud workflow, the provider’s connection sends the broadcast, but your own connection still needs to upload the source files. YouTube advises choosing a quality that produces a reliable stream based on the relevant internet connection.

- Protocol: YouTube recommends RTMPS, the secure extension of RTMP. Use the protocol supported by both YouTube and your cloud encoder.
- Video and audio: YouTube lists RTMP/RTMPS ingest and H.264, H.265, or AV1 video, with AAC or MP3 audio. Confirm the cloud service’s actual output options rather than assuming every listed codec is available.
- Rate control and keyframes: YouTube lists constant bitrate (CBR) and recommends a two-second keyframe interval; do not exceed four seconds.
- Test before launch: Start a private or unlisted test if appropriate, inspect the Live Control Room preview and health indicators, and monitor health during the broadcast. A provider’s global cloud claim is not evidence of performance on your particular ISP or route.
Choose a cloud service by its operating details
YouTube’s encoder directory establishes that cloud-based prerecorded streaming is an available use case, not that every listed provider meets your needs. Compare providers on the details that determine whether a loop is practical for your channel:

- Supported media formats, per-file size limits, storage and retention, playlist controls, and transitions.
- Number of simultaneous streams, resolution and frame-rate options, and what the service charges for the plan you need.
- What recovery or alerts are provided if YouTube ingest or the cloud encoder disconnects.
- How the service handles and protects your YouTube stream key.
- Any evidence for performance on your ISP and in your region; do not infer local routing quality from a general cloud description.

Troubleshooting a loop that will not start or stay healthy
- You cannot start a live stream: Check channel verification, live-stream eligibility, and whether first-time enablement is still pending; YouTube says it can take up to 24 hours.
- YouTube shows no preview: Check that the cloud service is targeting the correct stream URL and that the private key was copied accurately. If the key was exposed, replace it in YouTube and update the cloud service.
- Preview appears but has no picture or sound: Check that the intended playlist is selected, the media is playable in the provider, and its output format and audio settings are supported. Confirm the preview again after making changes.
- Stream health is poor or the feed drops: Check the encoder’s configured output against YouTube’s recommendations and the cloud provider’s available settings. Review provider status and recovery guidance; a slow home upload is not necessarily the live-feed bottleneck after cloud playout begins, but it can affect file uploads and service control.
- The stream stops before a usable replay is available: Confirm its duration. YouTube’s automatic archive guidance covers streams under 12 hours, not longer continuous streams.
- The stream is interrupted or restricted after a rights claim: Review the claim or restriction in YouTube Studio and resolve rights issues with the relevant rights holder or YouTube process. Do not evade a restriction by switching channels.
