To loop a prerecorded Gujarati news bulletin on YouTube Live, run it through OBS Studio: use Media Source with Loop for one combined video, or VLC Video with Loop Playlist for several clips. The loop runs on the computer hosting OBS; it is not YouTube’s viewer-side repeat option. Before preparing the broadcast, confirm that your channel can livestream.
Check that your YouTube channel can livestream
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so check availability on the actual channel before building the broadcast. See YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance.

Choose how to organize the bulletin

OBS documents support for common formats including MP4, TS, MOV, FLV, MKV, AVI, GIF, and WebM. Check that your chosen files load correctly before scheduling. The loop controls local playback in OBS, not what an individual YouTube viewer chooses to repeat. See the OBS media sources documentation.

Prepare and configure the OBS loop
- Arrange the media. Put the clips in the intended bulletin order. For a multi-file sequence, install VLC if needed, open OBS, create or select a scene, add a VLC Video source, select the files, check their order, and enable Loop Playlist.
- Set up a single-file loop instead. Add a Media Source, select the combined bulletin file, and enable Loop.
- Check the scene. Preview the video and audio, including the transition between the last and first playlist items. A single pre-rendered file is simpler to manage as one source; a playlist makes individual segments easier to replace, but its ordering and transitions need checking.
Create the YouTube Live event and connect OBS
- In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule the stream.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key shown there into OBS’s streaming settings. YouTube describes stream keys as credentials for sending the encoder feed; keep yours private. If it is compromised, reset it in Live Control Room. See YouTube’s stream settings guidance.
- Start OBS output and wait for the preview in Live Control Room. Use an unlisted test if appropriate, and confirm picture, sound, and playlist progression before making the event public.
Test bandwidth and broadcast reliability
YouTube recommends leaving 20% upload-bandwidth headroom above the total streaming bitrate. Use a reliable connection; a wired connection is a sensible operational choice, but it cannot guarantee an uninterrupted broadcast. Test with audio and movement similar to the real bulletin, and monitor stream health during the event. Refer to YouTube’s live-streaming tips.

For a scheduled event, YouTube recommends setting up the encoder stream at least two hours beforehand and starting the encoder at least 15 minutes before the event. Start OBS, confirm the preview and the audience-facing watch page, then supervise audio, video, network status, and playlist progression throughout.
Gujarati bulletin checks before going live
- Use the channel-approved Gujarati script; verify names, place spellings, and pronunciation.
- Confirm that the bulletin is cleared for broadcast, including music, footage, graphics, and any third-party material. The appropriate rights depend on the material and circumstances; verify them with the channel rather than assuming that inclusion in a bulletin makes content cleared.
- Listen for audio gaps or abrupt changes at each clip boundary, and confirm that the final-to-first transition works as intended.
What the loop does not guarantee
This setup depends on OBS, the computer, the local media files, and the network continuing to operate. It is not a cloud-hosted or self-sustaining loop. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; that guidance does not establish that a local loop produces one uninterrupted archive beyond that duration. Live Redirect can hand viewers off to a Premiere or another live stream when a broadcast ends. YouTube’s eligibility requirements include more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guideline strikes. It is an end-of-stream handoff, not a way to loop the bulletin inside the broadcast.
