To run a Hindi news clips rotation on YouTube Live, use OBS Studio’s VLC Video source to play rights-cleared files in order or shuffle, enable Loop Playlist, and send the scene to YouTube through its Live Control Room using the stream URL and key. The playlist can repeat, but your channel still needs an eligible live stream, cleared rights for every clip and audio track, and an operating plan for restarts and YouTube’s archive limits.
Before you build the rotation: clear the clips and check eligibility
Get permission for live and archived use
Confirm that you have permission to livestream every clip and every audio component, including music and material embedded in a broadcast. Record the permitted territories, term, and whether the permission covers both live transmission and archived playback. YouTube says it scans live streams for third-party matches, including other live broadcasts; it may replace a stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. YouTube’s published starter guidance says the channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days; it also states streamers must be at least 16. The guidance lists a maximum of 10 active streams per channel and three per stream key. Check YouTube’s current live-stream eligibility guidance before planning simultaneous broadcasts.

How to loop a playlist in OBS
Install OBS and VLC
Install OBS Studio and VLC on the computer that will run the broadcast. OBS’s VLC Video source supports playlists and looping; its documentation specifies that 64-bit OBS requires 64-bit VLC. The controls below follow the OBS media-source workflow documented at OBS Media Sources.
Add and order the files
- Open OBS and choose a scene. Create a scene for the broadcast or select the one you intend to use.
- Add the playlist source. In the Sources panel, select +, choose VLC Video, and create or select the source.
- Choose the media files. In the source properties, add the rights-cleared video files. Arrange them in the sequence you want viewers to see, or enable shuffle if the rotation should vary.
- Enable looping. Turn on Loop Playlist so OBS starts the list again after it reaches the end.
- Set visibility behavior. Decide whether playback should continue when the source is not visible in the scene. This matters if you switch scenes during a broadcast.
- Apply and preview. Check the video framing, clip order, audio levels, and transitions in the OBS preview. Do not assume transitions will be seamless; check the actual files and scene output.
This is an encoder playlist: OBS reads local files and sends their output to the stream. It is not the same as a YouTube playlist, which groups videos for viewers.

Prepare a scene viewers can understand
Add channel branding, labels, or original context only when accurate and appropriate. Preview the full output before going live. Check that the aspect ratio is sensible, audio is audible without clipping, and the scene exposes no desktop, notifications, or private information. OBS’s playlist documentation explains media playback controls; it does not prescribe a news layout or guarantee uninterrupted transitions.
How to stream the playlist on YouTube Live
- Create or schedule the stream. In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create or schedule an encoder stream. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.
- Copy the server URL and stream key. Find these in the stream settings. The URL tells the encoder where to send the feed; the key allows YouTube to accept it. Treat the key like a password and do not publish or share it. YouTube’s live stream settings guidance explains managing these settings.
- Enter the stream details in OBS. Open OBS Settings > Stream, choose YouTube as the service if available, and enter or connect the stream credentials as prompted. Confirm the server and key correspond to the intended YouTube stream.
- Run a private or unlisted check where appropriate. Start the encoder and inspect the Live Control Room preview. Verify picture, sound, order, looping, stream status, and rights before promoting a public broadcast.
- Go live. Once the preview and stream status are correct, start the live broadcast through the workflow shown in Live Control Room.
Plan continuity and archived broadcasts
YouTube’s encoder instructions state that streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume one archive will cover an indefinite 24/7 broadcast. Plan how you will manage sessions, restarts, and recordings, and review archived content. Before restarting a rotation, check that no clip has expired or become restricted under its license. The cited YouTube guidance does not establish guaranteed uninterrupted operation or a universal failover method, so test your actual setup and avoid promising viewers gap-free service.

Can you rebroadcast Hindi news clips on YouTube?
Only when you have the necessary rights for the specific live and archival uses, and meet YouTube’s requirements. A clip being publicly viewable, or your having permission for a different use, does not establish that it may be rebroadcast in a 24/7 stream. Music, embedded footage, territories, expiry dates, and Content ID allowlisting can all affect whether the stream can remain live.
Copyright permission and monetization eligibility are separate questions. YouTube’s channel monetization policy says reused content may be ineligible when material is repurposed without significant original commentary, substantive modification, or educational or entertainment value, and review applies to the channel as a whole. On July 15, 2025, YouTube clarified its policy wording by renaming repetitious content as “inauthentic content”; it said the reused-content policy did not change. A rotation dominated by third-party clips with little original contribution may therefore raise monetization concerns even if licensed. Commentary or editing is not a monetization guarantee. If you also make a public YouTube playlist for viewers, remember it is distinct from the OBS playlist. YouTube’s playlist policy says titles, descriptions, or the combined context of a playlist must not mislead or violate its guidelines.

- VLC Video is missing or will not load: install VLC, then restart OBS. If OBS is 64-bit, use 64-bit VLC.
- The list plays once and stops: reopen the VLC Video source properties and check that Loop Playlist is enabled.
- A clip appears in the wrong position or order: inspect the source playlist and reorder the files; confirm whether shuffle is enabled.
- Playback pauses after a scene change: check the source’s behavior when it is not visible and set it to continue if that is what your scene workflow requires.
- YouTube receives no feed: verify that OBS is sending to the intended stream, and recheck the server URL and stream key in OBS against the Live Control Room settings. Keep the key private.
- The stream is interrupted after a copyright match: review the notice and the rights for the matched material. Obtain appropriate live-use rights and, where required, ask the rights holder to allowlist the channel in Content ID; a license alone may not prevent an interruption.
- The broadcast or archive does not cover the full rotation period: plan sessions around YouTube’s stated under-12-hour automatic archive threshold and arrange the next session deliberately rather than assuming a live event or archive runs indefinitely.
