Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallThe exact steps depend on the model. This guide covers the Glorious Model O 2 Wireless and Model O 2 Mini Wireless: use the included receiver for already-paired 2.4 GHz wireless, switch to Bluetooth and enter pairing mode for Bluetooth, or connect the included USB cable for wired use and charging. Glorious CORE is optional for basic operation and is available for Windows customization.
Identify your Glorious mouse before connecting it
Glorious has separate instructions for different mouse families and generations. The button combination in this guide applies to the Model O 2 Wireless and Model O 2 Mini Wireless. It should not be treated as a universal procedure for every Glorious wireless mouse.

Read the model name printed on the mouse, its packaging, or your purchase record. If your switch labels, button layout, indicator lights, or Bluetooth device name differ, use the product guide for that exact model instead. A receiver made for one generation may not work with another.
Choose a connection method
The Model O 2 Wireless offers three connection modes. Your choice determines whether you need a USB port, Bluetooth hardware, or a pairing step.

| Connection | Hardware required | Pairing required? | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2.4 GHz receiver | The included USB receiver and a free USB port | No for the included receiver; it is paired to the mouse out of the box | Lowest-friction wireless setup and desktop gaming |
| Bluetooth | Bluetooth built into the PC or an external Bluetooth adapter | Yes. The mouse must be put into discoverable mode and selected on the PC | Laptops, tablets, or PCs where you want to preserve a USB port |
| Wired USB | A compatible USB port and the included USB-A-to-USB-C cable | No | First charge, troubleshooting, firmware or customization work, and uninterrupted use |
For most gaming desktops, start with the included 2.4 GHz receiver. Bluetooth is useful when the computer has Bluetooth hardware and you do not want to occupy a USB port. Wired mode works immediately and also charges the battery.
Prepare the mouse
Charge it before first wireless use
Glorious recommends fully charging the mouse before using it wirelessly for the first time. A full charge from empty takes approximately two hours according to the setup guide. The product specification advertises up to 210 hours of battery life; actual runtime varies with settings and use, so treat that as a maximum rather than a guaranteed session length.
Use the supplied cable correctly
- Plug the USB-A end of the included cable into the computer or a suitable USB power source.
- Plug the USB-C end into the port at the front of the mouse.
- Orient the connector with the hexagonal symbol facing up, as shown in Glorious’ guide.
The mouse can remain connected and operate as a wired mouse while it charges. This is also a useful way to confirm that the computer recognizes the hardware before you troubleshoot a wireless connection.
Set up the included 2.4 GHz receiver
The receiver supplied with the Model O 2 Wireless or Model O 2 Mini Wireless is already paired to that mouse. You do not normally need a separate pairing utility.
- Turn the mouse over and find the connection switch on its underside.
- Move the switch to 2.4.
- Insert the included USB receiver into an available USB port on the PC.
- Keep the receiver reasonably close to the mouse. A front-panel port or a short USB extension can help if the computer is under a desk or surrounded by metal and cables.
- Move the mouse and click a button. The operating system should detect it without a Bluetooth-style pairing dialog.
If the pointer does not move, check that the switch is actually on 2.4, remove and reseat the receiver, and try another USB port. Because the included receiver is factory-paired, a failure at this stage is usually a power, port, switch-position, distance, or model-mismatch issue rather than a missing pairing command.

Pair the mouse over Bluetooth
Confirm that the PC has Bluetooth
Bluetooth pairing requires Bluetooth hardware in the computer. Many laptops include it; some desktop PCs do not. If Bluetooth is absent, use an external Bluetooth adapter or choose the supplied 2.4 GHz receiver instead.
Put the Model O 2 into discovery mode
- Move the switch on the bottom of the mouse to BT.
- Press and hold the DPI button and both side buttons at the same time.
- Continue holding them until the LEDs flash blue. The flashing indicates that the mouse is ready to be discovered.
Select the mouse in the PC’s Bluetooth settings
- Open your operating system’s Bluetooth settings and start adding a device.
- Wait for the device list to populate.
- Select Model O 2 for the full-size mouse or Model O 2 Mini for the smaller model.
- Complete the on-screen pairing prompt if one appears.
After a successful connection, the blue flashing indicator stops. The mouse should then work as a standard pointing device without the 2.4 GHz receiver.

- Verify that the underside switch is set to BT, not 2.4.
- Repeat the DPI-button-and-both-side-buttons hold until the LEDs visibly flash blue.
- Confirm that Bluetooth is enabled on the PC and that the computer actually has Bluetooth hardware or a working adapter.
- Move the mouse close to the PC while pairing and temporarily turn off Bluetooth on nearby devices that might make identification confusing.
- If the mouse was previously connected to another computer, remove its old entry there or turn Bluetooth off on that computer before trying again.
Use the mouse in wired mode
Wired operation does not require a receiver or Bluetooth pairing. Set the mouse where you can reach it, connect the included cable, and use it normally. This mode is helpful when the battery is low, when you are diagnosing a wireless problem, or when you want a connection that cannot be interrupted by radio interference.
The same cable charges the mouse. When the battery has recovered, you can disconnect it and select either 2.4 or BT for wireless operation. If the computer does not recognize the mouse over USB, try another compatible port and inspect the connector for debris or damage before investigating wireless settings.
Install and use Glorious CORE only if you need customization
Basic pointing, clicking, scrolling, and wireless operation do not require Glorious CORE. Glorious describes CORE as optional software for features such as button remapping, macros, RGB lighting, and DPI configuration. The setup guide identifies CORE as Windows-only.

When the mouse is connected by cable, the operating system installs the necessary basic drivers automatically. That automatic driver installation is separate from CORE: the mouse can function without the customization application.

What CORE is useful for
- Assigning a different action to a mouse button.
- Creating macros where your game or workflow permits them.
- Adjusting DPI stages and selecting the active DPI behavior.
- Changing supported RGB lighting settings.
- Saving a configuration for the way you use the mouse.
When to skip CORE
Skip the software if you only need a standard mouse, if you use macOS or Linux, or if you prefer not to install a Windows customization utility. The Model O 2 product information lists compatibility with Windows, macOS, and Linux for the mouse itself; that does not change the guide’s statement that CORE is for Windows.
Verify that the connection is working
Use the following checks after setup:
- Pointer movement: move the mouse across the desktop and confirm that the cursor responds without pauses.
- Buttons and wheel: open a browser or file manager and test both main buttons, the wheel click, scrolling, and the side buttons.
- Mode switch: if you change from Bluetooth to 2.4 GHz, move the underside switch and confirm that the correct receiver is connected.
- Battery behavior: disconnect the cable after charging and make sure the mouse remains active in the selected wireless mode.
- Software detection: if you installed CORE on Windows, connect the mouse by cable first and check whether the application sees the correct Model O 2 variant.
Testing each function separately makes it easier to distinguish a connection problem from a single damaged button or an application-specific issue.
Troubleshoot common setup failures
The receiver is plugged in but the mouse does nothing
- Check the bottom switch and set it to 2.4.
- Unplug the receiver, wait a few seconds, and insert it into another USB port.
- Connect the mouse by cable. If wired mode works, the mouse has power and the problem is limited to the receiver path, switch position, or radio environment.
- Move the receiver closer to the mouse and test again.
- Confirm that the receiver belongs to this exact mouse. A receiver from another Glorious model or generation is not automatically interchangeable.
Bluetooth pairing starts but does not complete
- Put the switch back on BT and repeat the button hold until blue flashing begins again.
- Remove a stale Model O 2 or Model O 2 Mini entry from the PC’s Bluetooth device list, then start a fresh pairing attempt.
- Make sure the PC’s Bluetooth adapter is enabled and functioning with another device.
- Keep the mouse close during discovery and avoid switching modes while the PC is still trying to connect.
The mouse works by cable but not wirelessly
First charge it, then test one wireless method at a time. For 2.4 GHz, use the included receiver and the 2.4 switch position. For Bluetooth, use the BT position and the blue-flashing discovery sequence. This isolates whether the issue is the battery, receiver, Bluetooth hardware, or an incorrect mode.
The cursor cuts out during wireless use
Bring the receiver closer, avoid hiding it behind the computer case, and test a different USB port. For Bluetooth, reduce the distance between the mouse and the PC and remove nearby sources of congestion where practical. Continue using the cable while diagnosing the wireless link so that you do not lose control during the process.

Replacing a lost or damaged receiver
Do not buy a replacement receiver based only on the word “Glorious.” Compatibility is model- and generation-specific. Identify the exact mouse first, including whether it is a PRO model and which polling-rate generation it belongs to.
Glorious lists separate PRO replacement-receiver variants for:
- O2/D2 PRO 1KHz
- O/D 4K/8KHz
- Series 2 PRO
The same compatibility information expressly excludes Forge PRO, V1, V2 non-PRO, and V3 mice. Those exclusions mean that a receiver advertised for a PRO family should not be assumed to work with a non-PRO or excluded generation. If your original receiver is missing, check the replacement part’s model list against the mouse’s exact name before purchasing.
If you still have the original receiver, keep it with the mouse when transporting or storing the set. The Model O 2 guide describes the included receiver as already paired, so losing that small part can create a compatibility problem that a generic USB wireless adapter will not solve.

Which mode should you use?
Choose 2.4 GHz when you want the simplest wireless setup
Use the supplied receiver if your PC has a spare USB port and you want the shortest path from unpacking to use. It is already paired, so the setup consists of selecting 2.4 and plugging in the receiver.
Choose Bluetooth when USB ports are limited
Bluetooth avoids the receiver, but it requires Bluetooth hardware and the explicit discovery sequence. It is a practical choice for a laptop or a compact PC that already has Bluetooth built in.
Choose wired USB when reliability or charging comes first
Wired mode avoids wireless pairing altogether and lets you continue working while the battery charges. It is also the most useful diagnostic mode because it confirms that the mouse itself and its cable connection are functioning.
Quick setup checklist
- Confirm that the mouse is a Model O 2 Wireless or Model O 2 Mini Wireless before using these button instructions.
- Charge it for approximately two hours from empty if you want a full initial charge.
- For 2.4 GHz, set the switch to 2.4 and plug in the included, factory-paired receiver.
- For Bluetooth, set the switch to BT, hold the DPI button and both side buttons until the LEDs flash blue, then select the correct model name in the PC’s Bluetooth list.
- For wired use, connect the included USB-A-to-USB-C cable with the hex symbol facing up at the mouse.
- Install Glorious CORE only when you need Windows customization such as remapping, macros, RGB, or DPI settings.
- If a receiver is lost, match any replacement to the exact model and generation; PRO receiver variants are not universal.
For a Model O 2 Wireless or Model O 2 Mini Wireless, the included receiver is the easiest wireless route, Bluetooth is the receiver-free alternative, and USB remains available for charging, troubleshooting, and continuous wired operation.
