To run a prerecorded Punjabi music stream around the clock without leaving a computer on, use a cloud streaming service: prepare and clear the videos, connect the service to your YouTube channel from a phone, then schedule the broadcast. YouTube’s ordinary mobile live flow is for a person-operated stream from the phone; its published instructions do not describe it as an unattended playlist host.
Choose the right computer-free setup
There are two different workflows to distinguish. A phone can start or schedule a mobile livestream, but the phone is the source of that live broadcast. For unattended playback of uploaded recordings, use a cloud host that stores or accesses the media and sends the scheduled stream to YouTube.

| Option | What it does | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| Phone livestream in the YouTube app | Starts a mobile live broadcast from the device; YouTube’s published steps do not describe it as continuous playlist hosting. | A live performance, announcement, or short test where someone operates the phone. |
| Cloud scheduler | Plays prerecorded files through a scheduled YouTube livestream without requiring a home computer to remain on. | An unattended, radio-style music stream. |
| Encoder workflow | YouTube says encoders offer more customization and control than simple mobile or webcam streaming. | A production needing more control, but not a computer-free 24/7 setup unless the specific hardware and workflow are confirmed. |
OneStream Live documents a phone-configured 24-hour stream workflow: its help page says the feature is YouTube-only, requires an Enterprise plan, and supports a schedule of up to 30 days. These are the provider’s stated terms; verify current availability and plan requirements before paying. OneStream Live’s 24/7 stream instructions are the relevant setup reference.

Prepare the Punjabi music channel first
Enable live streaming and check eligibility
YouTube says a channel must be verified, have no live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days, and have live streaming enabled. First activation can take up to 24 hours. These channel requirements apply before you schedule the event.

If you intend to configure or run a mobile livestream through YouTube’s app, YouTube’s current Help page specifies at least 50 subscribers and Android 8.0+ or iOS 8+. Channels with 50–1,000 subscribers may have a limited mobile audience, and YouTube says limitations can take weeks to clear after reaching 1,000 subscribers. These mobile eligibility details should not be mistaken for a guarantee of unrestricted reach or a requirement for every cloud provider workflow. YouTube Help: create a mobile live stream.
Clear every recording for livestream use
Do not assume that a Punjabi song is cleared because it is already on YouTube, because the channel can play it, or because you have a music-service subscription or own a physical copy. Confirm that your rights cover livestream use, the intended territories, and any monetization. If a label, distributor, or other rights holder uses Content ID, ask it to add the channel to its allowlist before scheduling. YouTube scans livestreams for third-party matches; a match can replace the broadcast with a warning, and an uncleared or unallowlisted match can interrupt or terminate it.

Horizontal video is the traditional layout. Vertical livestreams can appear in the Shorts feed for mobile viewers. YouTube’s Live Control Room workflow supports simultaneous horizontal and vertical streams; its described vertical layout uses a center crop unless adjusted. That can cut off performers, instruments, lyrics, or captions, so check the composition before choosing vertical. A third-party encoder dual-stream setup uses RTMP(S) and a second stream key according to YouTube’s documentation. YouTube Help: create a vertical live stream.

Schedule an unattended stream from your phone
The following is the documented OneStream Live workflow, not a report of an independently tested broadcast. Labels and plan terms can change, so check the app and provider help page when you set it up.
- Open the OneStream mobile app. Choose Create, then 24-Hour Stream.
- Add the media. Select a video from your phone, the service’s library, or supported cloud storage. Confirm the files are the versions cleared for livestream use.
- Connect the correct YouTube channel. Check the account carefully, particularly if you manage more than one Punjabi music channel.
- Enter the stream details. Set the title, description, visibility, start time, and duration. Review each field before proceeding.
- Set the schedule and submit. The provider says this feature requires Enterprise and allows a run of up to 30 days; confirm those conditions in the current plan details before relying on them.
- Verify before going public. YouTube for Artists recommends an unlisted test, especially for higher-investment productions. Check that the intended files play, the stream reaches the correct channel, the framing works, and relevant rights holders have allowlisted the channel. Then schedule or switch to the intended public visibility.
Plan for rights, interruptions, and the replay
Do not treat a scheduled stream as permission to use music
Scheduling software only delivers the media; it does not grant music rights or prevent a Content ID match. Resolve clearances and allowlisting with the rights holder before the broadcast rather than waiting for YouTube to identify a problem on air.

Do not count on a complete 24/7 archive
A continuous broadcast and a durable replay are separate goals. YouTube can automatically archive streams under 12 hours, but says a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. YouTube’s exact caveat is: “If your stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all.” If an archive matters, plan shorter broadcasts or make and retain a separate recording with an appropriate backup. YouTube Help: archive live streams.
Consider whether a permanent feed is the right format
For a new release, a scheduled event may be more suitable than an indefinite playlist. YouTube for Artists suggests pairing a release livestream with a Premiere, Live Redirect, pinned chat interaction, and later on-demand availability. This can give a launch a defined event and preserve a separate on-demand version. YouTube for Artists reported that over 30% of daily logged-in YouTube viewers watched live content in Q2 2025; that is platform-wide context, not a forecast for an individual channel.
Troubleshooting before and during the broadcast
- You cannot start or schedule live: confirm channel verification, live-stream activation, and that there is no live restriction from the preceding 90 days. First activation may take up to 24 hours.
- The YouTube mobile app does not offer mobile live: check the current subscriber and operating-system eligibility: at least 50 subscribers, Android 8.0+ or iOS 8+. The mobile feature is not a substitute for unattended cloud playlist playback.
- The stream is interrupted or replaced by a warning: a third-party match may have been detected. Check that the rights cover livestream use and ask the relevant label or distributor to allowlist the channel in Content ID.
- Vertical framing cuts off important content: inspect the center crop and adjust the layout or use a horizontal presentation before the public schedule.
- The replay is missing or incomplete: streams over 12 hours may not be captured. Use a shorter broadcast or retain a separate recording if replay availability matters.
- The cloud schedule does not match your intended run: verify the current provider plan and duration limit; OneStream’s documented maximum is 30 days on its Enterprise-required feature.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is another cloud option for a YouTube-only prerecorded stream: upload your video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud loops it, so your computer and home connection do not need to stay on. It streams files as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot regardless of quality, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. The monthly option is $9.99 per month. Each slot includes 10 GB storage, pooled across active slots, and support from the StreamNeo team; the same product is included on every plan, with billing length as the difference. See StreamNeo for details, then start the free first day.
