You can run a 24/7 Bollywood instrumental playlist on YouTube with an eligible, verified channel and an encoder such as OBS Studio. Create a stream in YouTube Studio, connect OBS with the server URL and stream key, add a permitted visual and an audio playlist, then test the feed. Before you prepare the playlist, confirm that you have permission to use every recording and composition for a continuous live broadcast—and for any replay you plan to publish. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, and licensed music can still be interrupted if the rights owner has not allowlisted your channel through Content ID.
Before you start: channel access and music rights
Check that the channel can go live
YouTube’s current live-stream setup guidance says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. The person streaming must be at least 16. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable the feature before your planned launch rather than waiting until the last minute. Clear each track for this use
Make a track-by-track rights list for both the sound recording and the underlying composition. Confirm that the permission covers continuous live transmission and, if relevant, recording and replay. An instrumental arrangement, cover, or track found online is not automatically cleared for this purpose.
YouTube says it scans live streams for third-party content matches. A license does not necessarily prevent a live interruption: YouTube says the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube for Artists recommends that music channels coordinate with their label or distributor when using copyright-protected music; that recommendation is not itself a license. Set up the playlist stream with OBS
1. Choose an encoder and prepare the media
YouTube supports software encoders running on a computer as well as standalone hardware encoders. OBS Studio is an open-source software option YouTube lists at no charge. For this setup, prepare the audio playlist and a visual you have permission to use, such as cleared artwork. A computer running OBS must remain available, with its power and internet connection maintained, for as long as this do-it-yourself broadcast is expected to run.

OBS’s Quick Start Guide recommends running its Auto-Configuration Wizard. The wizard considers your intended use, computer hardware resources, and network conditions. Use it as a starting point, then check the resulting settings and test the stream; the available sources do not establish one universal bitrate, resolution, frame rate, or keyframe interval for every channel and connection.

- Open YouTube Studio and create a live stream. Follow YouTube’s encoder workflow for the stream you are setting up. Keep the stream key private; anyone with access to it may be able to send a feed to your stream.
- Copy the server URL and stream key from YouTube Studio into OBS. Enter them in OBS’s streaming connection settings. Check the values carefully before connecting; a wrong or outdated key can prevent the feed from reaching YouTube.
- Build an OBS scene. Add the visual you are permitted to use and configure an audio source for the playlist. Confirm that the audio meter responds when the playlist plays and that OBS is capturing the intended source, not silence or unrelated computer audio.
- Check the stream settings. Review the settings OBS selected through its Auto-Configuration Wizard and the guidance shown for your stream in YouTube Studio. There is no single setting value supported here for every computer, connection, or stream; do not assume that a value suitable for another setup is suitable for yours.
3. Test the whole path before going public
Start with an unlisted or private test. Wait for the incoming preview in YouTube Studio, then watch and listen from a separate device. Verify that the picture is present, the intended playlist is audible, and the audio level is not muted or distorted. OBS’s guide recommends checking settings and running a test for a few minutes before the first stream.

For a continuous broadcast, decide who will notice if the feed freezes, goes silent, disconnects, or stops advancing through the playlist, and who will restart the encoder if needed. The cited setup guidance does not promise uninterrupted 24/7 operation or set an India-specific power or internet specification, so test your own setup and make a practical recovery plan.
Plan for copyright checks and the replay separately
A live check can interrupt a licensed music stream
YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. If you have permission to use the tracks but the rights owner has not allowlisted your channel through Content ID, a match may still interrupt the broadcast. Arrange any required allowlisting with the relevant rights owner, label, or distributor before relying on a continuous stream. A successful test with one track does not establish that every track in a longer playlist is cleared or will avoid a match.

A 24-hour broadcast is not necessarily a 24-hour replay
A Google-hosted YouTube live production guide says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived and advises teams to record longer streams for manual upload. For a 24/7 broadcast, plan a separate recording and enough storage, and decide how to split or edit it if you want a replay. The guide is not a guarantee of current Studio behavior for every account or configuration, so check the replay status in YouTube Studio rather than assuming the entire continuous stream will be available afterward. Troubleshoot common setup problems
- YouTube Studio does not show an incoming preview: Check that live streaming is enabled, then recheck the server URL and stream key entered in OBS. If activation is new, YouTube says it can take up to 24 hours.
- The preview appears, but there is no music: Confirm the playlist is playing and the intended audio source is selected in OBS. Watch its audio meter while playback is active and check that the source is not muted.
- The stream is interrupted by a copyright match: Review the affected track and confirm that your permission covers live streaming. Ask the rights owner, label, or distributor about Content ID allowlisting; a license alone may not prevent an interruption.
- The stream stops or freezes after going live: Check whether the computer, OBS, power, or network connection has stopped functioning. Assign someone to monitor the feed and restart the encoder or playlist as appropriate; the cited documentation does not establish a 24/7 uptime guarantee for a home setup.
- You cannot find a complete replay: Check YouTube Studio and your separate local recording. The cited production guide describes automatic archiving for streams under 12 hours, not a guaranteed complete archive for a 24-hour transmission.
