What you need before starting
- An eligible YouTube channel: YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. First-time live-streaming activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before your planned launch. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
- Bhajan media cleared for broadcast: Use recordings, performances, compositions, artwork, and other visuals that you own or have permission to stream and replay. A devotional song’s subject or age does not by itself establish that its recording or composition is free to use. YouTube livestreams must follow its Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
- A cloud service that supports prerecorded video: Check that it can loop or schedule your files, how it connects to YouTube, its maximum continuous run time, its monitoring and recovery controls, and its current plan terms.
Set up the livestream
1. Prepare and check your bhajan media
Gather the video files you intend to stream and check that each one has the correct rights for a public livestream and replay. If you are combining audio with still images, lyrics, or devotional artwork, confirm permissions for those elements too. Organize the files in the intended order and decide whether the stream should loop a playlist or follow a schedule.

2. Choose and configure a cloud host
YouTube’s encoder guide lists cloud-based options for streaming prerecorded video 24/7, including Gyre. Its directory also lists Upstream as a browser-based cloud studio. These are vendor descriptions in YouTube’s directory, not independent reliability assessments. Compare providers’ file workflows, scheduling, continuous-duration limits, support, recovery options, and current costs before committing.
For example, OneStream Live’s documentation says its 24/7 feature requires an Enterprise plan and has a maximum duration of 30 days. That is a OneStream-specific limit, not a YouTube-wide rule; confirm current terms directly with the provider if you are considering it.

3. Create or select a stream in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio and select Create > Go Live.
- Create a stream or select an existing one, then follow the Live Control Room prompts for stream details and visibility.
- For an encoder-style connection, YouTube provides a server URL and stream key. Enter these in the cloud service exactly as instructed. Treat the stream key like a password: do not publish it or share it with anyone who does not need access.
YouTube’s encoder setup guide explains the connection details. Some cloud services instead ask you to authorize your channel; follow that provider’s connection instructions.
4. Add the playlist, then preview and test
Upload or select the cleared bhajan videos in the cloud service, arrange the playlist, and set the stream title, description, and schedule. Start a test run early enough to check both the provider’s status and the YouTube Live Control Room preview and stream health before sharing the public link. Confirm that the right video and audio are playing and that YouTube receives the feed.

Do not assume that a provider guarantees uninterrupted streaming. Check what alerts and recovery controls it offers, how it reports a dropped YouTube connection, and what steps you must take if a stream stops. Keep a way to check the broadcast after launch.

5. Plan around YouTube’s archive limit
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That does not promise a complete archive for one uninterrupted 24/7 event. If you need YouTube VODs, plan shorter scheduled events or keep separate recordings rather than relying on the continuous livestream archive.

Which approach fits a no-PC setup?
A cloud service is the most direct fit when the requirement is to keep a prerecorded YouTube stream running without leaving a home computer on. YouTube lists OBS as free, open-source encoder software, but running OBS on a home PC does not meet that requirement. You could host software elsewhere, but that adds setup and infrastructure decisions. YouTube also lists AWS Elemental MediaLive and AJA HELO Plus; its directory describes them as broadcast processing and a standalone hardware encoder, respectively, not as the simplest or cheapest choice for an individual channel.
For a basic bhajan stream, compare providers on looping and scheduling, connection method, run-time limits, monitoring and recovery, support, and current costs. The available sources do not establish a fair current price comparison across services.

Common problems and fixes
- Live streaming is not available: Verify the channel and check for a live-stream restriction in the past 90 days. If this is the first activation, allow up to 24 hours.
- YouTube does not receive the feed: Recheck the server URL and stream key, or repeat the cloud provider’s channel authorization. Keep the key private and replace it if you believe it has been exposed.
- The stream stops before the intended end: Check the provider’s maximum run duration and connection status. A vendor’s time limit is not a YouTube-wide rule; confirm whether the provider requires a restart or a new scheduled event.
- The video plays but the archive is missing or incomplete: YouTube’s automatic archive guidance applies to streams under 12 hours. Use shorter scheduled events or save independent recordings if an archive matters.
- A copyright claim or restriction appears: Review the specific recording, composition, performance, and visual rights. Replace material you cannot clear; the fact that a song is a bhajan does not establish permission to stream its particular recording.
