You can run a 24/7 country music channel on YouTube with a continuous playlist, a verified channel, and either an encoder running on your own computer or a cloud service that plays uploaded videos. The difficult part is not keeping a playlist moving: it is securing permission for every recording and composition you broadcast, in the territories where the stream is available, and coordinating Content ID allowlisting where needed. A license alone may not prevent YouTube from interrupting a live stream.
1. Clear the music rights before building the station
Do not start with a playlist of songs you bought, downloaded, or can hear on another channel. Owning a copy is not the same as having permission to broadcast it live on YouTube. YouTube’s livestream terms put responsibility on the provider to have the necessary rights for the live content on Google services worldwide, including music rights involving artists, record labels, publishers, public-performance licensing, and other royalty participants.

Check both the recording and the composition
A commercial track can involve separate rights in the sound recording and in the underlying song. A label may control master-use rights for a recording, while a performing-rights organisation may administer public-performance rights in the composition. Confirm that your permissions cover the actual live YouTube use and every relevant rights layer; permission for one does not establish permission for the other.
Confirm territory and platform scope in writing
Make a track inventory and record the rights holder, the recording and composition covered, permitted uses, territories, term, and any platform-specific conditions. Confirm whether the rights are worldwide or limited to particular countries, and get qualified legal advice if the scope is unclear. This is not a country-specific legal opinion, and a local radio or public-performance licence should not be assumed to clear a worldwide YouTube broadcast.

Ask about Content ID before you launch
YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. If it detects content, it may replace the stream with a placeholder, warn the operator, interrupt it temporarily, or terminate it. For licensed third-party music, YouTube instructs creators to ask the rights holder to add the channel to its Content ID allowlist. Allowlisting is not a music licence; it is a separate platform coordination step, and having a licence does not guarantee a stream will avoid interruption if the channel is not allowlisted.
Get written permissions and ask rights holders or their distributors about allowlisting before scheduling a public broadcast. Do not treat “I bought the song,” “other channels play it,” or “I have a radio licence” as blanket proof that the live use is cleared.

Creator Music is not a live-stream licence
YouTube says Creator Music does not support licensing for live content. Its licensing and revenue-sharing features are for eligible long-form uploaded videos, not this 24/7 live channel. YouTube’s documented Creator Music availability is for eligible U.S. creators in the YouTube Partner Program, with expansion outside the U.S. pending; that availability does not change the live-content exclusion.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2. Make the channel eligible to go live
- Verify the channel. Complete YouTube’s channel verification process before your planned launch.
- Check for restrictions. YouTube requires that the channel have no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days.
- Allow time for activation. YouTube for Artists advises enabling live streaming at least 24 hours before the broadcast. Do not leave first-time activation until launch day.
Check YouTube Studio for your channel’s current live status. If live access is not enabled or a restriction appears, resolve it through YouTube’s account or policy process rather than attempting to work around it.

3. Build the continuous country-music program
Choose music you are cleared to use
Assemble a playlist only from tracks whose live-use rights you have confirmed. If independent artists supply music directly, get written permission from the relevant rights holders and verify that their agreement covers the recording, composition, YouTube live use, territories, and any Content ID arrangements. Keep the permissions and track inventory accessible to the people operating the channel.
Prepare audio and visuals
Create a continuous playout queue or playlist and a stable visual, such as original station artwork or a visual loop you are entitled to use. Make sure your rights cover visuals as well as music. Check the transition between tracks, the audio level, and what viewers will see if the playlist ends or the playout system stops. A static or looping visual can support a radio-style program, but it does not remove the need to follow YouTube’s policies or obtain music rights.

Plan the schedule and operator routine
Decide how the program will run across playlist changes, overnight periods, and operator handoffs. Assign someone to check the stream and the encoder or playout service on a regular schedule. Keep a written recovery plan for a power cut, internet failure, encoder crash, expired stream session, or copyright warning. A 24/7 schedule is an operational goal, not a guarantee of uninterrupted uptime.
4. Start the stream with an encoder on your own computer
YouTube supports encoder streaming, which gives a radio-style channel more control over the outgoing program and visuals than a simple webcam or mobile broadcast. YouTube provides the stream details in its live workflow; use the current settings displayed in YouTube Studio and your encoder’s documentation. The reviewed guidance does not establish a universal computer specification, bitrate, or guaranteed configuration for a continuous stream.

- Open YouTube Studio’s live control workflow. Create a live broadcast or schedule one. Review the title, description, visibility, and other broadcast details before connecting.
- Copy the stream details from YouTube Studio into the encoder. Use the stream key and server or ingestion details shown for that broadcast. Treat the stream key like a password: do not post it, share it publicly, or include it in a screen recording. If it is exposed, reset it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- Set up continuous playout in the encoder or its companion software. Select the cleared audio playlist and your permitted visual. Confirm that the program continues from one track to the next and does not stop when a single file ends.
- Choose output settings supported by both sides. Follow the current YouTube Studio recommendations and the encoder’s guidance for resolution, frame rate, bitrate, and keyframe interval. There is no single set of values established here for every encoder and connection, so do not copy a configuration that exceeds your upload capacity or is unsupported by the current platform guidance.
- Use a secure ingestion option when available. YouTube describes RTMPS as a secure ingestion method for encoder vendors. Select it if the encoder and the stream setup support it.
- Run a private or unlisted test with the real playlist and encode chain. Check the audio, visual, transitions, stream status, and playback from another device. Verify that the stream remains stable for a meaningful test period before promoting the public schedule.
- Keep the host computer and connection available. Prevent sleep or automatic shutdown while the stream is running, use reliable power and internet, and make sure the computer can recover after a restart. Decide who will notice an outage and how they will reconnect the encoder.
- Start the encoder and confirm the live preview and status in YouTube Studio. Then start or confirm the broadcast using the controls shown there. Watch for warnings rather than assuming that an encoder reporting “connected” means viewers can hear and see the intended program.
Do not guess encoder values
Bitrate, resolution, frame rate, and keyframes affect compatibility and connection load. The available YouTube guidance does not establish one correct value for every 24/7 country-music setup, and a high-quality setting is not useful if the computer or upload connection cannot sustain it. Check YouTube’s current in-product recommendations and your encoder documentation, then test the actual setup before going public.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.5. Keep the broadcast running and recover cleanly
- Power or computer failure: A local encoder stops if its host computer loses power or shuts down. Keep the device powered, disable sleep while broadcasting, and have a restart and reconnection procedure.
- Internet interruption: The encoder may disconnect or fail to deliver a stable feed. Monitor connection status, use a dependable connection, and document how to reconnect after service returns. A backup connection can help if it is practical for your location.
- Encoder or playlist stops: Check both the encoder and the playout queue. Confirm that the playlist has not reached its end, that files remain available, and that the software is configured to continue playback.
- YouTube reports a copyright match: Stop and investigate the identified content. Confirm the track’s permissions and territory scope, and coordinate Content ID allowlisting with the rights holder. Do not assume restarting the stream or changing the visual resolves the underlying rights issue.
- The stream is interrupted or terminated: Read the status and any policy notice in YouTube Studio, identify whether the cause is technical or rights-related, and resolve that cause before going live again. YouTube may interrupt or terminate a live stream that matches third-party content or violates policy.
Keep the operator’s recovery steps, current stream setup, music permissions, and rights-holder contact details in one place. Test the recovery procedure as well as the normal launch; a setup that works once has not yet demonstrated that the channel can recover from a failure.
6. Costs and a cloud alternative
A self-operated setup depends on the computer and internet connection you already have or choose to provide, plus any playout or encoder software you use. YouTube’s encoder support does not establish a minimum computer model or cost. Budget for the practical needs of continuous operation—power, connectivity, monitoring, and recovery—without assuming a particular hardware purchase is mandatory.

Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for keeping a channel live from uploaded videos; it does not broadcast from a camera. The steps are: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops the uploaded program in the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. Each slot includes 10 GB of storage, pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and StreamNeo team support. Uploaded video streams as made up to 4K 60fps, with no re-encode and no quality tiers; there is one flat price per slot. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. The monthly option is $9.99 per month. A cloud playout service does not grant music rights or guarantee that Content ID will not interrupt a stream; clear the tracks and coordinate allowlisting separately.
