Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →To run a 24/7 bhajan stream with OBS, verify that your YouTube channel can livestream, create an encoder stream in YouTube Studio, connect OBS with the stream URL and key, then test a sustainable video and audio bitrate before going live. The hardest parts are keeping the computer, power and internet connection available around the clock, and clearing rights to every recording. YouTube also warns that streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured as an archive, so plan local recording or shorter sessions if you need a copy.
Before you begin: check channel access and music rights
Confirm livestream eligibility
YouTube requires the channel to be verified and to have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Check access before preparing a long broadcast; otherwise, you may not be able to start it. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility and setup guidance.

Clear the specific recordings you plan to play
Religious or traditional music is not automatically free to broadcast. Rights may apply to the composition and to the particular recording. YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content; a match can cause the image to be replaced, or the stream to be interrupted or terminated. Even if you have a license, the rights owner may need to allowlist your channel in Content ID to avoid an interruption. For protected recordings, coordinate with the label or distributor as appropriate. Read YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance and YouTube for Artists’ guidance.

Create an encoder stream in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio and go to the Live Control Room.
- Choose the option to set up or schedule a stream using streaming software (an encoder). Add the title, description, visibility and schedule details for the bhajan broadcast. Scheduling gives you an event page to share in advance.
- In the stream settings, copy the YouTube stream URL and stream key. Treat the key like a password: do not publish or share it. If it is exposed, reset it using YouTube’s stream-key controls and update OBS with the replacement.
For a scheduled encoder event, YouTube may require you to wait until OBS sends a feed and a preview appears in the Live Control Room, then select Go live. Follow the event’s on-screen state rather than assuming that connecting OBS automatically makes the scheduled stream public. See YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.
Connect OBS and choose settings your connection can sustain
Enter the YouTube destination in OBS
- Open OBS and go to Settings > Stream.
- Select YouTube as the service, or choose a custom server if needed, then enter the stream URL and stream key copied from YouTube Studio. OBS labels can vary by version and service selection.
- Set your video resolution and frame rate under Settings > Video. Set the encoder and bitrate under Settings > Output, using the platform guidance below as a starting point.
- Apply the settings, then select Start Streaming. Confirm that the Live Control Room receives the feed and reports stream health before you start or announce the public event.
Use YouTube’s encoder recommendations as targets, not guarantees
YouTube’s current encoder guidance recommends RTMPS, constant bitrate (CBR), a 2-second keyframe interval (not more than 4 seconds), and AAC or MP3 audio. For stereo audio, it recommends 128 Kbps. The video values below are YouTube’s guidance for H.264 at 30 fps; they are ingest recommendations, not a guarantee that your connection can sustain the bitrate or that a particular viewer will receive that quality.

- Positionable design: Pivot the mic in relation to the sound source to optimize your sound quality thanks to the adjustable desktop stand and track your voice in real time with no-latency monitoring
| H.264 setting at 30 fps | YouTube-listed minimum video bitrate | YouTube-listed recommended video bitrate |
|---|---|---|
| 720p | 3 Mbps | 8 Mbps |
| 1080p | 5 Mbps | 14 Mbps |
These figures and the audio and keyframe recommendations are from YouTube’s encoder settings guidance (accessed in 2026). Choose a setting your actual upload connection can hold steadily. YouTube recommends leaving approximately 20% upload headroom; for example, a 5 Mbps video target calls for roughly 6.25 Mbps of available upload capacity before accounting for other household or office traffic. A wired connection may reduce one source of local instability, but it cannot guarantee a reliable broadcast.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Bhajan footage that is a still image or simple visual may need less bandwidth than video with frequent movement, but use the same kind of movement and audio in a test that you expect in the real stream. YouTube transcodes supported live feeds for viewers, so sending a higher bitrate does not replace selecting a stable source configuration.

Test the full setup before the devotional broadcast
- Run a private or unlisted test with representative audio and visuals. Check the preview and stream-health indicators in YouTube Studio.
- Listen for clipping, silence, unexpected gaps and audio/video sync problems. Check the stream from another device or network if practical.
- Watch OBS for dropped frames and encoding overload, and confirm that upload use leaves the recommended headroom for other traffic.
- If recording locally, verify that the recording starts and that the file continues to grow. Confirm that the recording drive has enough free space for the planned session.
- Test after any change to the encoder, OBS settings, computer, network or source files rather than assuming an earlier test still applies.
YouTube’s own encoder guidance recommends testing comparable audio and movement, monitoring stream health, leaving upload headroom and checking that a local archive file is growing.
Make 24/7 operation an operational plan
OBS can send a live feed, but the documented YouTube workflow does not promise uninterrupted operation from a single computer or provide a complete failover design. If you keep OBS at home or in a studio, continuous streaming depends on that computer, its power and cooling, the source media, the network and an operator’s ability to respond to failures.

The detachable pop filter reduces plosives caused by excited speech during gaming. The stable tripod stand with rubber feet allows for optimal recording positioning via an adjustable thumbscrew, whether you're leaning back or in.
- Keep the computer powered and configure its sleep settings so it does not suspend during the broadcast.
- Use a stable network connection and plan what you will do if the router, internet service or power fails.
- Check OBS and YouTube Studio periodically, and arrange a way to notice a stopped feed or poor stream health.
- Keep a recovery checklist handy: verify the source and connection, restart OBS if needed, confirm the Studio preview returns, and then follow the Live Control Room’s instructions to resume or start the event.
These precautions reduce avoidable interruptions; they cannot guarantee 24/7 uptime. If a broadcast stops, the length and visibility of any gap depend on how quickly the feed is restored and how YouTube handles the event.

| Approach | Archive consideration | Operational trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| One continuous 24-hour session | YouTube says a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all; use a local recording if you need an archive. | A single session avoids a planned handoff, but relies on the running setup and needs monitoring and recovery planning. |
| Multiple shorter scheduled sessions, each under 12 hours | Each session is within YouTube’s stated automatic-archive condition; keep a local backup if the recording matters. | Each transition requires an operator or a well-managed procedure, and a handoff can create gaps. |
If recording locally, estimate the required disk space from the recording bitrate and duration, allow additional room for file-system overhead, and make a short test recording before the full run. Do not count on a 24-hour archive appearing automatically in Studio.
