You can use a CONTROL Resonant excerpt as a ringtone or alarm only if your phone can access it as an eligible audio file or selectable song. A streaming listing or soundtrack bundle does not automatically give you an exportable file. On iPhone, GarageBand cannot turn a protected or undownloaded Apple Music track into a ringtone; on Android, you can set a local audio file as a ringtone or choose one for an alarm.
Apple Music lists CONTROL Resonant (Original Soundtrack) by Petri Alanko and CONTROL Resonant as a 13-song, 51-minute album released October 2, 2026 (Apple Music). The PlayStation Store lists an Original Soundtrack with the Digital Deluxe Edition, but not among the Standard Edition’s included items; neither listing establishes that the soundtrack is a phone-ready audio file (PlayStation Store).

Before you start: check that you can use the audio
First confirm that the excerpt is actually available to your phone in a form its ringtone or alarm picker can use. A streaming subscription, album page, or game-edition soundtrack inclusion is not proof that you have a transferable local file. Use an authorized download where available, and do not record a stream or bypass copy protection to make a ringtone.

- iPhone: GarageBand can make a ringtone from an audio file or an eligible song in your Apple Music library. Apple says the song must be downloaded; protected or dimmed tracks cannot be used in this workflow (Apple’s GarageBand ringtone instructions).
- Android: the steps below require a local audio file on the device. Google Clock also offers music-service choices, but those are separate from importing a file and may have account or service restrictions (Google Clock Help).
Make a CONTROL Resonant ringtone on iPhone
Apple’s GarageBand export limit is 30 seconds. Pick a short passage, trim it to that limit, and place it at the beginning of the project so the ringtone does not start with silence.

- Make the eligible audio available on the iPhone, either in Files or as a downloaded song that GarageBand can use.
- Open GarageBand and create an audio recording project. Open Tracks, then the Loops Browser.
- To use a file, choose Files → Browse items from the Files app and locate it. To use a library song, choose Music and select an eligible downloaded track.
- Drag the audio into the Tracks area. Trim the passage to 30 seconds or less and move it to the start of the project.
- Return to My Songs, select the project, then choose Share → Ringtone. Name it and tap Export.
- After export, choose Standard Ringtone, assign the tone to a contact, or finish without assigning it. Apple documents the ringtone export flow and 30-second maximum (Apple Support; Apple Support: ringtone settings).
Use the exported ringtone for an iPhone alarm
Open Clock, edit or create a regular alarm, tap Sound, and choose the exported tone if it appears in the available tones. Alarm options can vary by alarm type; the GarageBand ringtone instructions do not establish that every iOS alarm type uses the same picker.
Set a local soundtrack file as an Android ringtone
With the audio file saved on the device, Files by Google can set it as the ringtone. Menu wording may vary somewhat by device or software version.

- Open Files by Google and go to Categories → Audio.
- Find and play the audio file, then tap More → Set as ringtone.
- If prompted, tap Continue and enable Allow modify system settings.
- Check for the confirmation that the ringtone was set (Google Files Help).
Choose a local file for an Android alarm
- Open Clock and create an alarm or edit an existing one.
- Tap the alarm’s sound, then choose Add new → Your sound file.
- Select the downloaded audio file (Google Clock Help).
Google Clock also documents music-service integrations, which are not the same as selecting Your sound file. Availability can depend on the service and account, and the soundtrack’s presence in a service does not mean Clock will expose it there or create a ringtone file.

If the soundtrack does not appear
- On iPhone: check that the track is downloaded and not dimmed or protected. If GarageBand cannot select it, use an eligible audio file instead.
- On Android: confirm the audio is stored locally, then look under Categories → Audio in Files or under Your sound file in Clock.
- For either phone: verify the exact soundtrack access you have. Album streaming, a game bundle, and a local downloadable audio file are different things; only the last necessarily supplies a file for the Android local-file steps.
