To set a price alert for PC Jeweller, select the exact NSE instrument PCJEWELLER (shown as NSE:PCJEWELLER in TradingView), choose whether you want a move above or below a price, and select where the notification should arrive. TradingView is the most flexible option for price, technical, watchlist and fundamental conditions; Zerodha Kite is a broker-linked alternative with detailed market-field conditions; Groww documents notification controls but not, in the cited guidance, a complete PCJEWELLER price-threshold workflow.
An alert is only a notification. It does not place an order, guarantee execution at the target price or replace checking the exchange and instrument before saving the rule.

Start with the correct PC Jeweller instrument
PC Jeweller trades on more than one venue and may appear in search results with different exchanges or data feeds. For the National Stock Exchange listing, the symbol is PCJEWELLER. In TradingView, search for NSE:PCJEWELLER and open that chart before creating the alert. In a broker app, confirm the exchange shown beside the instrument rather than selecting the first similarly named result.
Write down the intended rule before opening the alert dialog. For example:
#1 Best Overall
- Notify me when PCJEWELLER crosses above ₹X.
- Notify me when PCJEWELLER falls below ₹Y.
- Notify me when the daily percentage change exceeds a chosen value.
- Notify me when a technical indicator, volume level or another market field reaches a condition.
The wording matters. “Crossing above” normally means the price moves from below the level to at or above it; a condition that is already true may behave differently depending on the service and frequency setting. If you need a one-time reminder, use an expiration time or disable the alert after it fires.
Which service should you use?
| Service | Best suited to | Alert and delivery characteristics | Account relationship |
|---|---|---|---|
| TradingView | Independent market monitoring and several stocks | Price, technical, drawing, strategy, chart-pattern, watchlist and fundamental alerts; app notification, pop-up, email, webhook, sound and plain-text delivery are available options. | Can be used as a charting and notification service rather than as a broker order tool. |
| Zerodha Kite | Alerts alongside a Zerodha trading account | Price and percentage rules plus OHLC, quantities, open interest, volume and related fields; Kite notification and email delivery. | Broker-linked workflow on the Kite app or web interface. |
| Groww | Managing notification preferences in the Groww app | The documented settings path controls product-category notifications. The cited guidance does not specify a complete PCJEWELLER price-threshold sequence, so verify the current instrument screen. | Groww account and app settings. |
| Exchange transaction messages | Detecting activity in your account | SMS or email notices about transactions on trading days; these confirm activity and are not user-created price thresholds. | Generated by the relevant exchange and broker safeguards, not by your chosen target price. |
Set a PCJEWELLER price alert in TradingView
TradingView describes alerts as notifications for key market events. The following workflow applies to a normal price alert and can be adapted for other conditions.
- Find the listing. Open TradingView’s symbol search, enter
NSE:PCJEWELLER, and select the NSE instrument. Check the exchange label and chart title before continuing. - Open the alert creator. On the chart, select Create alert from the top toolbar. You can also open it from Alert manager, right-click the chart, or use the plus button beside the price scale.
- Choose the condition. Select a price condition such as crossing above or crossing below, then enter the target value. A price alert is intended to fire when the symbol reaches, exceeds or falls below the level you specify.
- Set the frequency. Choose whether the condition may trigger once, on every bar close or repeatedly according to the choices displayed for that alert type. Use the least frequent option that matches your purpose; an intrabar rule can notify you during a temporary move, while a bar-close rule waits for the selected candle to finish.
- Set the timer. Give the alert an expiration or leave it active only for the period you actually need. A long-lived rule should be reviewed when your target, investment thesis or watchlist changes.
- Name and describe it. Use a name that includes the symbol, direction and level, such as
PCJEWELLER above target. Add a message explaining what you intend to check next; a message is especially useful when several alerts can fire close together. - Select delivery actions. Enable the channels you will notice reliably: app notification, pop-up, email, webhook, sound or plain text. A webhook requires a receiving endpoint that you control; an app notification requires notification permission on the device.
- Create and verify. Save the alert, then inspect it in Alert manager. Confirm the symbol, condition, frequency, expiration and enabled delivery methods. Do not assume that a similarly named chart inherited the rule.
Use a TradingView watchlist for several stocks
If you want the same rule for PCJEWELLER and other holdings, create or select a watchlist containing the intended symbols and choose a watchlist alert. TradingView applies one watchlist alert independently to each symbol, so one stock reaching the level does not make the other stocks share the same price. Review every symbol’s exchange and currency before saving the basket.

Watchlist alerts are useful for a common percentage move or a broad technical condition. They are less suitable when every stock needs a different rupee target; in that case, create separate alerts so each threshold is explicit.
Technical and strategy alerts
TradingView also supports conditions based on indicators, drawings, strategies and chart patterns. For example, an alert can be tied to a moving-average event or a level drawn on the chart instead of a fixed price. The same creation dialog is used, but the condition is the selected indicator, drawing or strategy rather than the raw last price. Check the chart timeframe and indicator inputs because a rule on a five-minute chart is not equivalent to one on a daily chart.
Fundamental alerts and their data delay
Fundamental alerts can use market capitalization, P/E, PEG, P/B, P/S, price-to-cash-flow, price-to-free-cash-flow, dividend yield, buyback yield and earnings yield. TradingView cautions that fundamental values can be briefly inaccurate after a rapid price move following an earnings release; corrected data is displayed within a few hours. Treat a post-results fundamental notification as a prompt to re-check the company page, not as an unquestionable real-time valuation signal.
Set an alert in Zerodha Kite
Kite provides a broker-linked alert workflow on both its mobile app and web interface. It is useful when you already monitor positions or a watchlist in the same account.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteKite app
- Open the Kite app and open the PC Jeweller instrument.
- Tap Set alert.
- Enter an alert name that identifies the symbol and rule.
- Select the property to monitor and enter its value.
- Choose the comparison operator and create the alert.
Kite web
- Open the instrument in Kite web.
- Choose More → Create Alert.
- Enter the name, property, value and comparison operator.
- Create the alert and check that it appears in your alert list.
Conditions available in Kite
Kite’s documented fields go beyond a simple last-price threshold:
| Field group | Examples of what it can monitor |
|---|---|
| Price and change | Last traded price, percentage change and average traded price. |
| OHLC | Open, high, low and close-related values. |
| Market activity | Volume and open interest. |
| Order quantities | Buy quantity and sell quantity. |
| Operators | Greater than, greater than or equal to, less than, less than or equal to, and equal to. |
A triggered alert produces a notification on Kite web or in the app and an email. Zerodha states that Kite alerts are free, permits up to 500 alerts and 200 Alert Trigger Orders, and gives an alert a 365-day validity period unless it triggers or you disable it earlier. These are service limits and lifecycle rules, so check the current Kite help documentation if the interface presents different limits.

What Groww’s documented settings do—and do not—confirm
Groww’s notification-management guidance places controls at Profile → Settings → Manage notifications. It provides on/off choices by product category, including Stocks, Mutual Funds and F&O, and says a change may take up to 24 hours to reflect.
That path controls whether categories of messages are delivered; the cited guidance does not document the exact screens for creating a PCJEWELLER price threshold. If your Groww app shows a price-alert control on the instrument page, confirm the symbol, exchange, target, expiration and delivery method there. If it does not, use a documented alert workflow such as TradingView or Kite instead of assuming that category notifications are equivalent to a threshold alert.

Do not confuse exchange notices with price alerts
NSE, BSE and MCX can send SMS or email notices about transactions on trading days. Zerodha describes these messages as an unauthorised-trade safeguard: they help you notice that an order or trade occurred in your account.
Best Value
A transaction notice does not mean PCJEWELLER reached a target, crossed a technical level or met a percentage condition. Keep exchange and broker messages enabled for account security, but create a separate user-defined alert for the market event you want to monitor.

Pick a trigger that matches the decision
- Use a fixed price when the decision is tied to a specific rupee level.
- Use a percentage condition when comparing moves across stocks with very different prices.
- Use an OHLC condition when the opening, high, low or closing value matters more than an intraday tick.
- Use volume or open interest when participation or derivatives activity is part of the setup.
- Use a technical condition when the signal depends on an indicator or chart level rather than price alone.
Choose crossing versus being above or below
A crossing rule is generally appropriate when you want one notification as the market moves through a boundary. A persistent “above” or “below” condition can be useful for a state check, but may generate repeated notifications if the service allows recurring triggers. Read the condition label and frequency description in the service before saving.
Set a realistic expiration
Targets become stale when earnings, corporate actions, portfolio changes or a new trading plan alters the reason for the alert. Use a timer where available, and review long-running alerts periodically. For Kite, the documented maximum validity is 365 days unless the alert is triggered or manually disabled earlier.
Make notifications actionable
Enable at least one channel you will actually see. App alerts are convenient for a phone-based workflow; email leaves a searchable record; sound and pop-up notifications suit an actively monitored desktop; a webhook is appropriate only when an automated system is ready to receive and process it. A notification should prompt a review, not an automatic trade unless you have separately designed and tested an order process.
How to monitor several stocks without losing track
- Build a clean list. Add each intended symbol with its exchange, including PCJEWELLER for the NSE listing.
- Group by purpose. Separate accumulation targets, risk levels, earnings checks and technical setups rather than putting every rule in one undifferentiated list.
- Use watchlist alerts for shared rules. In TradingView, one watchlist alert can apply the same condition independently to each symbol.
- Use individual alerts for different targets. A PCJEWELLER target in rupees should not be copied to a stock whose price scale or currency differs.
- Use descriptive names. Include ticker, exchange, direction, level and timeframe so a notification remains understandable away from the chart.
- Audit after edits. When a stock is removed, renamed or moved between watchlists, check that its alert was deleted or still points to the intended instrument.
Troubleshooting missed or unexpected alerts
The alert never arrived
- Confirm the rule is enabled and has not expired or already triggered.
- Check that the symbol is exactly the intended exchange listing, not a similarly named instrument.
- Review the condition and frequency; a bar-close rule may wait for candle completion.
- On a phone, allow notifications for the app and disable operating-system restrictions that silence it.
- For email, check spam, filtering and the address associated with the account.
- For webhooks, verify that the receiving endpoint is available and accepts the expected request.
The alert fired at an unexpected time
- Inspect whether the rule used intrabar movement or a completed bar.
- Check the chart timeframe and the data feed’s trading session.
- Confirm that the target was entered in the instrument’s quoted currency and units.
- For a fundamental rule after earnings, allow for the brief data-correction window described by TradingView.
The app shows messages but not the target event
You may be seeing transaction or product-category notifications rather than a price condition. Re-open the instrument and look for an explicit alert rule containing the target, operator and expiration. Exchange SMS or email confirms account activity; it does not substitute for that rule.
Quick Recap
Safety checks before relying on an alert
- Verify the exchange, ticker, currency and data feed.
- Read the complete condition, including operator, timeframe and frequency.
- Check the expiration date and maximum-alert limits for the service you use.
- Keep account and exchange transaction notifications enabled for unauthorised-trade detection.
- Decide in advance what you will verify after receiving the notification; price alerts do not account for liquidity, gaps, spreads, news or order execution.
- Review the service’s current labels and limits before publication or a major portfolio change, because app interfaces and subscription rules can change.
