To get fantasy football injury alerts, turn on player-status or injury notifications in your fantasy app, select the team or league you want to follow, and allow notifications in your phone or browser settings. The setup differs by platform—and an enabled alert is not a guarantee it will arrive before kickoff—so check your lineup in the league app before the game starts.
ESPN Fantasy: Enable alerts for each league
- Open the ESPN Fantasy app and tap the Gear icon.
- Choose Alert Preferences and turn on the relevant fantasy alerts, including player-status alerts.
- Review the preferences for each fantasy team and league you use. ESPN says alerts can be configured separately by league, so do not assume one league’s settings apply to another.
- If alerts still do not appear, check that your phone allows notifications from ESPN Fantasy.

Yahoo Fantasy: Choose your device’s menu path
iPhone or iPad
- Open Fantasy Home and tap the Profile icon.
- Open Settings, then tap Push Notification Settings.
- Select the team or notification type and turn on the options you want, including injury-status notifications.

Android
- From the Fantasy app home screen, tap the Profile icon.

Yahoo alerts on desktop
If you rely on Yahoo desktop alerts in Chrome, allow notifications both in your computer’s notification settings and for the Yahoo site in Chrome. Either permission layer can prevent alerts from appearing. Yahoo explains the [desktop notification setup].
NFL Fantasy: Find the alert controls
NFL Support documents notification controls but its instructions focus on changing or unsubscribing from alerts; they do not establish a specific injury-alert category.

- App: Go to More > Team Settings > Email Notifications or Push Notifications.

Sleeper’s support article describes notification controls at the device, channel, topic, and user levels, but does not confirm a particular injury-status alert or give a player-injury setup path. Check the current Sleeper app’s notification settings and your phone’s notification permissions rather than relying on a named injury toggle. Its [notification help] is dated April 7, 2022, so current menus may differ.

If alerts are not showing up
- Check the right team or league: Confirm the fantasy app’s alert is enabled for the team you follow. ESPN and Yahoo describe team-specific choices; ESPN also supports separate league preferences.
- Check device permissions: Allow notifications for the fantasy app in your phone’s operating-system settings. An in-app setting cannot override a device-level block.
- For Yahoo on desktop, check both permission layers: Chrome must allow Yahoo site notifications, and the computer must allow browser notifications.
- Verify your lineup directly: Open your league before kickoff and check player status and lineup eligibility. The support instructions explain how to configure alerts, but do not promise a delivery deadline or guaranteed timing.
