Give each page its own monitor or schedule if your monitoring service supports per-page scheduling. Then set its cadence according to how quickly the page changes and how costly it would be to discover a change late. Before you choose intervals, check the service’s schedule options, timezone rules and plan limits: they differ from product to product.
Decide what each page needs
Start with the pages you want to watch and why they matter. A pricing page, status page, newsroom, legal terms page and conversion flow may have different rates of change and different consequences when a change goes unnoticed. Use those differences to choose a review cadence rather than assigning every URL the same schedule.

For each page, note its URL, the reason it matters, how quickly it is likely to change, and how soon you need to know about a change. These are planning inputs, not guarantees about how often a page will change.
Create a separate schedule for each page
- Check the product’s scheduling model. Look for per-URL or per-monitor cadence settings. Do not assume a schedule can be customized for each URL just because the service supports scheduled captures.
- Add each URL as its own monitor or schedule if the product supports that pattern. Give it a recognizable name, such as “Pricing page” or “Status page,” so you can tell schedules apart.
- Choose a cadence for that page. Use the fastest interval that is useful for the page’s change rate and your response needs, while accounting for any quota or plan restrictions.
- Set the timezone or confirm how schedule times are interpreted. Record it where the team manages monitors if timing matters.
- Keep capture settings consistent when comparing runs. Where available, set the same viewport or device profile, full-page option, page state or selector, and change threshold for captures that you intend to compare.
- Set change and failure handling. Decide who should receive change alerts, how failed runs should be reported, and whether a monitor should pause after repeated failures.
- Review initial runs. If captures are noisy or miss useful changes, adjust the cadence or capture settings.
Products document this model differently. Allscreenshots describes creating a schedule by naming it and supplying a page URL; Site-Shot describes one URL per schedule and says a 10-page setup uses 10 schedules; ChangeTower describes a frequency per monitor. These are examples of vendor-specific workflows, not universal dashboard instructions.

Choose a cadence that fits the page
A schedule should balance how quickly a page may change against the cost of learning about a change late. ChangeTower uses a terms page that changes twice a year and a newsroom that changes hourly as illustrative examples. They are not measurements that apply to every legal page or newsroom.
Check the exact cadence menu before planning around an interval. Documented examples vary:

| Service | Documented schedule options | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Allscreenshots | Hourly, every few hours, daily, weekly or monthly | Vendor documentation accessed 2026-10-03. |
| Site-Shot | Daily, weekdays, selected days and selected hours | Schedule times are UTC, according to its product page accessed 2026-10-03. |
| ChangeTower | Intervals as often as every five minutes, plus custom weekly or monthly timing | Vendor-stated capability on its feature page, accessed 2026-10-03. |
For two different monitors on one URL, first verify that your chosen product permits separate monitors with independent schedules. ChangeTower says each URL has its own schedule, notifications and history; that behavior should not be assumed for other services.
Check timezones, quotas and plan limits
Timezone
Schedule times do not have a universal timezone convention. Allscreenshots offers a timezone setting. Site-Shot says its schedule times are UTC, including in the schedule, ledger and emails. Confirm the behavior in your product and account for daylight-saving changes if you use a local timezone.

Quota and plan
Frequent checks can use a plan’s capture allowance quickly. ScreenshotInk estimates about 30 captures per month for a daily monitor and about 720 for an hourly monitor; it documents hourly monitoring on its Pro and Scale plans. Snapshot Archive gives plan-specific examples of Starter allowing at most one capture per day (1,440 minutes) and Business allowing hourly captures (60 minutes). These are vendor-specific plan examples, not general limits for monitoring services. Check current plan details before creating schedules.
Manage many pages without losing control
For a larger set of pages, keep a simple monitor inventory with the URL, purpose, cadence, timezone, capture settings, alert destination and owner. This makes it easier to spot overly frequent schedules and understand who should respond when a change or failure alert arrives.

Check whether the provider supports API-based schedule management before setting up monitors in bulk. Allscreenshots says its dashboard settings map to fields on POST /v1/schedules; those endpoint details apply to Allscreenshots, not other providers.

- A page is not checked at the expected time: confirm the schedule’s timezone, selected days and selected hours. Some services use UTC; others may offer an account or schedule timezone setting.
- The service rejects a cadence: check its supported interval menu and whether the interval is restricted by your plan. Do not infer availability from another provider’s options.
- Usage rises faster than expected: compare the number of active monitors and their cadence with the service’s quota accounting. Hourly checks can require substantially more captures than daily ones; ScreenshotInk’s estimates are specific to its service.
- Captures differ even when the page appears unchanged: check whether viewport, full-page behavior, selector, page state or threshold settings are consistent between runs.
- A monitor is unhealthy or stops producing useful captures: inspect its run history and failure alerts, then check the URL and capture settings. Services differ in whether they pause a monitor after repeated failures.
- You cannot assign separate schedules to the pages you need: verify whether the product supports one schedule per URL or independent monitors. If it does not, use a product or workflow that exposes the granularity you need.

ScreenshotNeo is a screenshot API and MCP server for developers. Its API can return a screenshot or PDF with one GET request; see the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options. This is useful for taking captures programmatically, but a single API call is not itself a recurring monitoring schedule: you still need to run it on the cadence you choose.
Example cURL request:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
ScreenshotNeo removes cookie banners, newsletter popups and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads and cache hits are not billed, and responses indicate the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server provides screenshot tools for AI agents, including Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients. The Free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots. Learn more at ScreenshotNeo or sign up free for 1,000 screenshots a month with no card.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can two monitors on one URL run different schedules?
Only if the monitoring service supports separate monitors or schedules for that URL. ChangeTower documents independent schedules per URL; check the equivalent behavior in your chosen service.
