To select multiple photos or videos in Samsung Gallery, touch and hold a thumbnail. Once it is selected, use the controls shown on your screen for the action you want—such as moving, copying, deleting, or sharing.
Select more than one photo or video

Open Gallery and go to Pictures.

Samsung’s instructions confirm the touch-and-hold gesture, but do not establish one universal gesture for adding more items or a Select all button across Galaxy models and software versions. Follow the controls shown in your Gallery app.

Move or copy selected items to an album
After selecting the items, tap More at the bottom of the screen. Choose Move to album or Copy to album, then select the destination album. Moving transfers the items; copying leaves the originals in place.
Delete selected items
Samsung’s documented deletion route begins in Albums: open the album containing the items, touch and hold a thumbnail, select the other items using the controls on screen, tap Delete, and confirm Move to Trash. Deleting this way moves items to Trash rather than permanently removing them; permanent deletion is a separate action in Trash.

When photos appear grouped together
On some newer Galaxy devices, Gallery groups similar-looking images, so a single tile may represent multiple photos. Samsung says the thumbnail indicates the number of grouped images; tap the tile to open and view them individually.
To display pictures as separate tiles, open More options and choose Ungroup similar images. Samsung notes this setting may not be available on certain models.

Share selected photos more safely
Gallery can share pictures and videos through Quick Share and other compatible sharing options. If you want to remove embedded location information before sharing an image, open it and choose More options → Details → Edit. Tap the red minus sign to remove the location, then save.
