On desktop or in a browser, open Direct Messages/Home, select Friends, then choose Blocked. On mobile, tap your avatar, open Settings, go to Content & Social, and select Accounts you’ve blocked & ignored. Both paths show the accounts you have blocked. Discord’s support pages, last updated February 10, 2025, describe these locations, and the labels can change between app versions.
Find blocked accounts on desktop or in a browser
The Friends screen in Discord’s desktop app and web client is split into tabs. According to Discord’s Friends List 101 help article (updated February 10, 2025), those tabs are All, Online, Pending, and Blocked. The Blocked tab holds the users you chose to block.

- Open the Direct Messages/Home area.
- Select Friends.
- Select Blocked at the top of the Friends screen.
To check an individual account, open its profile and use the View Profile option. Discord’s Blocking & Privacy Settings article (also updated February 10, 2025) describes this action in the context of blocked users.

On the Discord mobile app, the list lives in settings rather than in the Friends screen. Discord’s How to Ignore Users on Discord guide (updated February 10, 2025) points mobile users to the same settings area.

- Tap the settings gear.
- Open Content & Social.
- Scroll to Accounts you’ve blocked & ignored and open the list.
This list also contains accounts you have ignored, so check each entry’s status before you change anything.
What viewing a blocked profile does and does not do
Opening a blocked person’s profile is a way to look, not a way to unblock. Discord’s help article states the following:

- Viewing the profile does not notify the blocked user.
- The block stays in place after you view the profile.
- The official instruction reads: “If you wish to view a blocked user profile, you can select View Profile.” (Discord Support, Blocking & Privacy Settings)
Blocking does not remove someone from every space you share. Discord says messages from a blocked user in shared servers are hidden by default and can be revealed. Its guide also describes an alert when you enter a shared group chat that includes a blocked person. If you want to stop seeing a person in a server or group chat entirely, check that space’s own member and moderation tools; blocking alone does not change what other members can see.

Choose Ignore if you want to reduce what you see from someone but keep the ability to interact. Choose Block if you want direct messages to stop and the friendship to end.

- Update the app to the latest version. Menu labels may differ on older builds.
