Prepare the product page before taking a screenshot
- Open the specific product page and select the correct product variant, if applicable.
- Use the site’s currency selector to choose the currency you want to document. Wait for the page to refresh or for the price to update.
- Check how the currency is identified. An ISO-style code or a visible currency or country label is clearer than a symbol alone. Shopify notes that symbols such as “$” can be shared by multiple currencies, and its theme documentation describes displaying currency codes with prices. Shopify theme documentation explains the

Shopify storefront price formats. - Arrange the page so the product identifier, price, currency selection, and enough store identity are visible together. If they will not fit legibly in one screen, decide whether a full-page capture is more useful than a visible-page image.
Take the screenshot in Firefox
Mozilla’s Firefox screenshot tool offers region selection, automatic selection of page elements, visible-page capture, and full-page capture. You can download the image or copy it to the clipboard. The interface and shortcut can vary by Firefox version and operating system; Mozilla’s current instructions are at Take screenshots in Firefox.

- On an empty part of the page, right-click and choose Take Screenshot. Alternatively, press Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows or Linux, or Command+Shift+S on macOS.
- Choose Save visible when legibility is the priority and the relevant product details fit in the viewport. Choose Save full page when the surrounding page context matters more.
- Alternatively, select a region or a page element if you need a tighter frame. Make sure the resulting image still contains the price and enough context to identify its currency.
- Download the screenshot or copy it, depending on how you need to use it.
Choose the capture scope that fits your purpose

Keep the screenshot interpretable later
Save the page URL and capture date alongside the image—for example, in the filename or a separate note. This is practical recordkeeping, not a Firefox feature. For price comparisons, capture each currency under the same conditions and identify the currency shown in each image.

Store and plugin behavior can differ. For example, WooCommerce’s documentation for its currency converter says converted prices are informational and customers still pay in the store’s base currency. Do not assume another site or converter behaves the same way; check that store’s checkout and payment options if the actual charge matters. WooCommerce Currency Converter documentation.
If the currency or price does not look right
- The price has not changed: wait for the page to refresh or update after selecting a currency, then verify the displayed amount before capturing.
- The image shows “$” but not which dollar currency: widen the frame to include a currency selector, country label, or explicit currency code. A shared symbol alone may be ambiguous.
- The selector is missing from a crop: take a wider visible or full-page screenshot, or choose a region that includes both the selector and price.
- You need to show what will be charged: inspect checkout and the available payment currency. A displayed conversion does not necessarily establish the final payment currency.
- The browser shortcut does not open the tool: use the page’s right-click menu and select Take Screenshot; shortcuts and menus can vary with browser version and operating system.

Can I copy a Firefox screenshot instead of downloading it?
Yes. Firefox’s screenshot tool can copy the image to the clipboard as well as download it.
Does a currency selector prove the amount shown is what I will pay?
No. The selector and screenshot establish what the page displayed, not necessarily the currency or amount charged at checkout. Check the store’s checkout and payment options.
