To screenshot a Google featured snippet or a People also ask answer, search for the relevant query, expand the question if the answer is inside People also ask, then capture the visible screen or use a full-page/scrolling capture if the answer extends below it. The exact controls depend on your device and browser.
Featured snippets vs. People also ask
A featured snippet is an answer box Google may show at the top of results, within People also ask, or beside Knowledge Graph information. People also ask is a group of related questions; when you expand one, Google displays an answer as a featured snippet. If you need to capture a particular People also ask answer, expand its question first. Otherwise, the screenshot may show only the question, not the answer.

- Search Google for the query that produces the featured snippet or People also ask result.
- If the answer is in People also ask, select the relevant question and wait for the answer to appear.
- Choose the capture area: a region or window for just the answer, or the full visible screen when you also need the query and surrounding results for context.
- If relevant content continues below the screen, use a full-page or scrolling capture supported by your browser or device. If that is unavailable, take consecutive screenshots as you scroll and keep them in order.
- Review the saved capture. Check that it includes the question, answer, source attribution, and enough context to identify the result.
A standard screenshot records what is visible, not the entire page. Full-page and scrolling options vary by platform and may not work in every app or Search view.

Windows: Snipping Tool or Edge
Capture the visible result with Snipping Tool
Microsoft’s Snipping Tool supports freeform, rectangular, window, and full-screen captures. Press Windows+Shift+S to open the snipping overlay and choose the area that suits the result: a rectangle around the answer, a window for the browser, or the full screen for all visible results. Pressing Print Screen takes a full-screen snapshot to the clipboard. See Microsoft’s Snipping Tool instructions.
Capture a longer page with Microsoft Edge
For content below the visible screen, Microsoft Edge has a full-page webpage capture feature. Use Edge’s capture control and choose its full-page option; the exact control presentation can vary with the browser version. This captures the webpage rather than just the portion currently visible. iPhone: screenshot or Safari Full Page
Save what is on screen
On an iPhone with Face ID, press the Side button and Volume Up together. On a model with a Home button, press the Side button and Home together. The screenshot preview appears after capture.
Capture a supported webpage beyond the screen
For supported webpage content in Safari, tap Full Page in the screenshot view to capture beyond the visible screen. You can crop the capture and save it as an image or PDF. This option is specific to supported content; do not expect it to appear in every Google app view or every app. Apple’s iPhone screenshot instructions describe the available flow.

Android: use scrolling screenshot when available
Google documents scrolling screenshots on Android 12 and later for most screens that allow scrolling. Capture the screen, then use the scrolling capture option if it appears and extend the capture to include the desired result. Steps and availability vary by device. If the option is missing or does not work on the Search results screen, check your manufacturer’s support instructions or save successive screenshots while scrolling. Choose the right capture format and framing
- Just the answer: Use a region or window capture to leave out unrelated screen content.
- Evidence with context: Include the query and enough of the results page to identify what was captured.
- Content below the fold: Prefer a full-page or scrolling capture where the current browser or device supports it; otherwise, take consecutive images as you scroll.
- Long-page archive: A PDF can be easier to read than a very tall image where the platform offers that option. Apple’s supported Safari full-page capture can be saved as an image or PDF.
Google Search layouts and platform controls can change. Confirm the options shown on your current device and software version rather than relying on a shortcut that may not apply to your setup.

Troubleshooting
The People also ask answer is missing
Expand the specific related question before taking the screenshot, then allow the answer to appear. People also ask initially displays a question group; the answer is shown after a question is opened.
The screenshot cuts off the answer
Your capture likely included only the visible screen. Try the browser or device’s full-page/scrolling option. If there is none for that page, capture successive sections while scrolling and preserve their order.

There is no Full Page or scrolling option
Support depends on the platform, content view, and browser. Apple limits its documented Full Page flow to supported webpage content; Google says Android scrolling screenshots work on most scrollable screens, not all. On Windows, use Edge’s full-page webpage capture for a longer page. Otherwise, take consecutive visible-screen captures.
The image lacks enough context to identify the result
Retake it with the query and surrounding result-page details visible, or save a separate capture of the broader page. Keep the question, answer, and source attribution in frame when those details matter.
