To capture an entire scrolling web page in Chrome, open DevTools with Ctrl+Shift+I, open its Command Menu with Ctrl+Shift+P, then run Capture full size screenshot. For only the visible portion, use Device mode’s More options > Capture screenshot, or use Windows Snipping Tool for a screen region. These Chrome steps apply on Windows in India as elsewhere; the sources document no India-specific variation.
Capture the entire web page in Chrome
- Open the page in Chrome and wait for the content you need to appear. If the page loads images or other material as you scroll, scroll through the relevant sections first.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+I to open Chrome DevTools.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+P to open the DevTools Command Menu.
- Type Capture full size screenshot, then select that command.
Chrome DevTools’ full-size command captures the page beyond what is visible in the viewport. Chrome’s documentation describes selecting “Capture a full size screenshot” from the Device mode menu for this purpose: Simulate mobile devices with device mode. The keyboard shortcut sequence is also described in a Chrome Help Community response, which is community guidance rather than official Chrome documentation: Chrome Help Community: screenshot.

Choose the right capture for what you need
| Method | What it captures | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| DevTools: Capture full size screenshot | The full page, including content beyond the visible viewport | A long article or page archive |
| Device mode: More options > Capture screenshot | The current Device mode viewport | A screenshot of the displayed viewport |
| Windows Snipping Tool | A visible screen area or region | A quick excerpt of what is currently on screen |
Chrome documents the viewport and full-size options in its Device mode guide. Snipping Tool is a Windows alternative for visible screen content, not a substitute for a full scrolling-page capture; it is suggested in a Chrome Help Community discussion: Chrome Help Community: Screenshots.

- Open DevTools with Ctrl+Shift+I.
- Turn on Device mode using the device toolbar control in DevTools.
- Open More options > Capture screenshot.
This captures the Device mode viewport, not the whole scrolling page. If you need only a portion of your laptop screen rather than a browser viewport, use Windows Snipping Tool instead.

Get more reliable full-page captures
- Check delayed content first. Scroll through the page to prompt lazy-loaded images or sections to appear before taking the screenshot. The DevTools documentation explains full-size capture scope but does not promise that every site’s delayed or interactive content will load automatically.
- Check what is actually visible. Animations, personalization and interactive elements may mean a capture does not show the material exactly as expected. Pause or complete the relevant interaction where possible, then capture again.
- Do not assume a fixed save folder. The cited Chrome documentation does not establish a specific save location for the full-size capture.
Troubleshooting
Ctrl+Shift+I or Ctrl+Shift+P does not work
Make sure Chrome is the active application and, after opening DevTools, press Ctrl+Shift+P to open the DevTools Command Menu. The shortcut guidance comes from a Chrome Help Community response, not the official DevTools documentation. If the menu does not open, use DevTools’ menus and controls to reach Device mode and its screenshot options.
The capture stops at the visible area
You may have selected the viewport screenshot command. To capture beyond the viewport, use the Command Menu and select Capture full size screenshot, rather than Device mode’s Capture screenshot.
Part of the page is missing
Scroll through the missing area to let delayed content load, then repeat the full-size capture. A page may also depend on an interaction or display changing content, so check the live page before capturing.

PrtScn is hard to find on the laptop keyboard
Some laptops place PrtScn on an Fn layer, and key behavior varies by model. Check the keyboard markings or use DevTools. A Chrome Help Community response suggests Windows+PrtScn or Fn+Windows+Space on some devices and mentions Pictures/Screenshots as a possible destination, but these are not guaranteed across laptop configurations: Chrome Help Community: Run Command — Capture full size screenshot shortcut.

ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. One GET request can return a screenshot or PDF; the API accepts options for full-page capture and other needs. Before capture, it accepts consent banners and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups and chat widgets; each step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads and cache hits cost nothing, and response headers indicate the page verdict and whether the request was billed. Its MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info and capture_pdf for AI agents.
Example cURL request (replace the placeholder with your API key):
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo documentation for API details. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Sign up for ScreenshotNeo’s free plan.
