Open the webpage, take a screenshot, then tap Scroll capture (the downward-arrows icon) in the screenshot toolbar. Tap it again to capture more of the page, or press and hold it on supported software to continue scrolling. The finished image is saved in Gallery. Scroll capture appears only when more content extends beyond the screen, and some sites or apps do not support it.
Capture a full webpage with Scroll capture
- Open the webpage in your browser and scroll to the point where you want the screenshot to start.
- Press the Side or Power key and Volume Down together to take a screenshot. Button names and positions can differ by Galaxy model.
- When the screenshot toolbar appears, tap Scroll capture, shown as downward arrows. The phone captures more of the page.
- Tap the icon again to extend the screenshot. On devices with Samsung’s newer interaction, press and hold the icon to continue scrolling farther. Tap outside the toolbar when you are finished.
- Open Gallery to view the saved image.
The captured length depends on the page, and Samsung notes that the resulting image may be resized automatically. The amount captured can vary with page content. Samsung’s Canada support guide describes Scroll capture for content such as long webpages and documents.

Why Scroll capture may be missing
The page does not extend beyond the screen
The icon appears only when the visible content continues beyond one screen. Scroll farther down the page and take another screenshot if needed. Samsung also cautions that some websites and apps may not support the feature.

On some Galaxy software, check Settings → Advanced features → Screenshots and screen recorder → Show toolbar after capturing. The app restricts screenshots
Some apps block screenshots because of copyright restrictions. If the feature is unavailable in one app but works elsewhere, the app may be limiting capture rather than the phone being faulty. Samsung notes this restriction in its screen recording and capture guidance.

Can I capture a long screenshot in every app?
No. Samsung says Scroll capture is limited to eligible content and some apps or websites may not support it; some apps also block screenshots.
