Open the page in Chrome and navigate to the part you need to document.

If Chrome is requesting the desktop site, open More, turn off Desktop site for that site, then refresh the page. Chrome’s mobile-or-desktop presentation depends on its settings and the site; not every website offers a mobile layout.

Press Power and Volume down together. Google Android Help gives this as the standard shortcut. If it does not work, hold the Power button for a few seconds and tap Screenshot. Button names and availability can vary by phone; consult the phone maker’s support if neither method is available.

Open the screenshot preview and check that it shows the intended page and content before sharing or attaching it.
A standard screenshot records the visible screen, or phone viewport: it does not automatically include the rest of a long webpage. If the URL or browser context matters as evidence, keep the browser and status bars in the original image. Save that original before cropping anything for privacy or presentation.

Capture a longer page with scrolling capture
After taking the screenshot, look for Capture more in the preview. Google says scrolling capture works on Android 12 and up on most screens that allow scrolling. If it is offered, adjust the crop guides to include the part of the page you need, then save the result.

Make text easier to read without changing the record silently
Chrome’s Page Zoom can enlarge text on a site: open More > Zoom and adjust the slider. If the zoom control is not shown for webpages, enable it under Settings > Accessibility > Show Zoom. Zoom changes how much content fits in the viewport and can change the page layout. For a record of the site’s ordinary presentation, leave the usual zoom unchanged; if you enlarge it for readability or to document a layout issue, note that change when you share the screenshot.
Find the screenshot on your phone
On phones with Google Photos, go to Collections > On this device > Screenshots. On older phones without Photos, look in the Gallery app’s Screenshots folder. Review the saved file before sending it, especially if it contains personal details, account information, or a visible URL.

What the India government-site context does—and does not—tell you

A screenshot can document what appeared on your device; it cannot repair a broken page.

If the button shortcut does not work, hold Power for a few seconds and choose Screenshot if that menu option is available. The exact controls vary by phone.
Why can’t I see “Capture more” after taking a screenshot?
Scrolling capture is not available on every screen. Google describes it as supported on Android 12 and up for most scrollable screens; capture separate visible sections if the option is missing.
