A 2026 technical article reports pages of 20 jobs and a pagination ceiling of 2,000, but Workday’s official materials reviewed do not establish either figure as a universal CXS limit. Treat an exact total of 2,000 as a possible cutoff—not proof that an employer has exactly 2,000 openings or that you have captured them all.
How do you scrape a Workday career site without a browser?
Workday career sites can expose job listings through a public CXS endpoint. A direct request can retrieve the listing data without rendering the page in a browser. The endpoint pattern reported by Dodo Data is:

Replace the placeholders with the values in the employer’s public career-site URL: the tenant, Workday pod or instance, and career-site slug. For example, if the public site is hosted at acme.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/AcmeCareers, the corresponding endpoint pattern would use acme, wd5, and AcmeCareers. Confirm the actual endpoint and response for the target site rather than assuming every employer uses the same host or slug.
The article’s example sends a JSON body with appliedFacets, limit, offset, and searchText. An independent open-source job-board integration also describes POST requests to public CXS endpoints with offset-based pagination. See the integration project.

How should you paginate and handle the 2,000-job ceiling?
- Request the first page. Start with
offset: 0, an empty search string if you want all available listings, and the target site’s accepted page size. - Save the first response’s total. The article reports that later pages may return
totalas zero, so retain the first page’s total rather than relying on subsequent responses to repeat it. - Advance the offset. Request the next page by increasing
offsetby the number of results requested, then continue until you reach the reported total or receive no more results. - Flag a total of exactly 2,000. Dodo Data reports that 2,000 may be the maximum number of listings exposed for pagination, not the employer’s true vacancy count. Its examples include NVIDIA at 2,000 and Salesforce at 1,483. Those are examples reported by the article, not a Workday-wide guarantee.
Workday’s administrator guide to external career sites describes employer configuration, including the Find Jobs report used to show openings, but does not specify a public CXS page size or total-result cap. Workday’s service-limit guidance discusses throttling for WWS SOAP, RaaS, and REST APIs under high load. Those are distinct from the public career-site endpoint; their documented limits should not be presented as evidence for the CXS figures above.

Which fields can you collect, and when should you fetch job details?
Dodo Data’s example listing response includes a job title, external job path, location text, relative posting date, and requisition identifier. These fields can support an initial filtering pass. For example, keep listings whose title or location matches your criteria, then fetch their individual public job pages only when you need fuller descriptions or structured details.
The article reports that individual job pages include schema.org JobPosting JSON-LD with fields such as description, datePosted, employment type, location country, and identifier. Check the actual detail page and its structured data: fields may vary by employer or listing, and the article’s observations are not a formal guarantee that every page contains every field.

How should you treat relative dates and incomplete results?
A listing’s postedOn value may be text such as “Posted Today,” “Posted Yesterday,” or “Posted 30+ Days Ago.” Preserve that wording or represent it as an interval. “30+ Days Ago” establishes only a lower bound; it does not reveal an exact posting date. Where you fetch a detail page and find a JSON-LD datePosted, retain that field separately rather than inventing a precise date from the relative label.
Likewise, a result count at the reported 2,000 ceiling cannot establish that the employer has no additional openings. Mark the collection as potentially truncated and avoid describing it as a complete inventory unless you have another way to verify coverage.

What request pace and site-policy checks make sense?
The 2026 article reports one run that collected 500 jobs and descriptions using 526 requests over 2 minutes 30 seconds, with four timeouts that succeeded after retries. That is one author’s reported run, not a speed benchmark or a safe request-rate guarantee for another site.
Before collecting, inspect the specific employer site’s current robots.txt and applicable terms. Dodo Data reports that some career-page paths were allowed while some candidate or community routes were disallowed; policies can differ between employers and may change. Workday’s administrator guide also makes clear that customers configure their external career sites, including the report used to display jobs and available languages or locales. Do not infer permission for one route from a different employer’s policy.

Should you build the extractor or use a hosted option?
