“How to schedule property tour videos in a YouTube Live playlist” can mean three different things: releasing separate prerecorded tours at set times, hosting a scheduled Premiere, or broadcasting a sequence of prerecorded tours as a live stream. YouTube handles these as separate workflows. Its playlist feature organizes videos; it does not, according to YouTube’s playlist instructions, schedule the playlist to autoplay as a Live broadcast.

YouTube distinguishes Live streams, which broadcast media in real time, from Premieres, where viewers watch a new prerecorded video together. Its native playlist instructions cover creating, ordering, and sharing a collection, not converting that collection into a scheduled Live stream. Schedule each property tour as a regular video
Choose this route if each listing tour should appear on its own at a specific time. Upload and schedule every video separately; a playlist can collect the published tours, but it does not schedule them for you.
- In YouTube Studio, upload the property-tour video and enter its details.
- Open the Schedule card.
- Set the publication date, time, and time zone, then select Schedule.
- To adjust a scheduled upload later, find it under Content and edit or reschedule it.
YouTube says the public watch-page date is based on Pacific Standard Time. If you schedule from another time zone, the date viewers see may differ from the date shown in Studio. Check the public-facing date when coordinating a listing announcement, particularly if the release falls near midnight in either time zone. YouTube Help: schedule video publishing.

For property listings, make the title and description clearly identify the property and location. Use appropriate visibility and any disclosure required by your listing or brokerage arrangements; those are publishing considerations, not special YouTube scheduling features.
Use a Premiere for a shared viewing of one tour
If the footage is prerecorded but you want an event-like viewing at a set time, consider a Premiere rather than presenting a playlist as a live broadcast. A Premiere is YouTube’s format for watching a new video with the creator and community in real time; it is not a live camera or encoder broadcast. Create and order a playlist of tours
A playlist is useful for grouping tours by neighborhood, property type, agent, or release series. It helps viewers browse related videos, but adding videos to a playlist does not schedule their publication or turn them into a Live stream.
- In YouTube Studio, select Create > New playlist.
- Enter a title and description, choose the playlist visibility and ordering, add videos, and create the playlist.
- To manage an existing playlist, go to Content > Playlists.
- Add videos from search, a URL, or your channel library. Drag videos to change their order, then share the playlist.
These steps follow YouTube’s playlist-management guidance. The playlist remains a viewer-facing collection; it does not cause its videos to autoplay as a scheduled Live event under the documented native workflow.

Schedule an actual YouTube Live event
Use this path when you need a scheduled broadcast and event page. YouTube’s encoder workflow requires connecting an encoder with the YouTube stream URL and stream key. Treat the key like a password: do not share it in a public description, message, or recording.
- Open YouTube Studio, select Create > Go Live to open Live Control Room.
- In Manage, select Schedule stream.
- Create a new stream or reuse settings, then fill out the event details and schedule it.
- Connect the encoder using the stream URL and stream key shown for that stream, and verify the event setup before the scheduled start.
Viewers may see a scheduled stream in their subscriber feed and can select Notify me on its watch page. A trailer is a separate optional feature: YouTube states that a channel needs more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes to use one, and the trailer must be 15 seconds to 3 minutes long. Those conditions apply to trailers, not to the general ability to schedule a Live stream. Confirm current requirements in YouTube’s scheduled-stream guidance, since interface labels and eligibility can change.

Broadcast prerecorded tours as a Live playlist
If the required result is a live broadcast that plays multiple prerecorded tours in sequence, YouTube’s native playlist-management instructions do not document that workflow. A third-party streaming service may provide it. Restream’s support documentation describes creating a video playlist and scheduling it to stream to YouTube; this is a vendor-specific option, not a native YouTube playlist setting. Plan the release and test the event
- Decide whether viewers need separate release dates, a communal Premiere, a browseable collection, or a continuous Live broadcast. Do not announce a playlist as a Live event unless an actual broadcast workflow is configured.
- Confirm the event time and time zone on the public watch page, especially when Studio and the audience are in different regions.
- For an encoder or external playlist service, verify the correct stream URL, protect the stream key, and run a private rehearsal. Operational reliability should be demonstrated for your setup rather than assumed.
- Give audiences time to watch and engage with recent uploads when spacing releases and live events. YouTube Help advises: “A consistent, sustainable release schedule is critical when building and fulfilling audience expectations and maintaining your well-being.” YouTube guidance on release schedules.
