StreamShark’s Live Scheduler lets eligible customers turn prepared video-on-demand (VoD) files into scheduled broadcasts, including broadcasts sent to YouTube. The workflow is: prepare an active VoD in the right quality profile, create a Live Schedule, add and sync the video, then let the schedule start automatically or use Go Live Now. YouTube is a supported destination, but the current YouTube connection steps are not specified in the available StreamShark guidance, so confirm them in your account or destination-specific documentation before going live.
Check access and choose the right schedule
StreamShark’s support guidance says Live Scheduler is available to customers on subscription plans with a Dedicated Server attached. If you do not see it in your account, ask your StreamShark representative or account manager about access or a trial. The documentation does not establish that Live Scheduler is included with every StreamShark account, and it does not provide a price.
Choose the schedule style before preparing the video:
- One-off: Set a date, start time and time zone for a single broadcast.
- Recurring: Choose dates or a date range, then set the broadcast times and time zone.
- Continuous loop: Enable Loop Content to keep the selected videos playing until you stop the broadcast. You can set a start time or start it manually.
You can also choose between a scheduled start and a manual start, select an HD or 4K quality mode, and optionally enable privacy for a protected schedule. Make sure the source VoD’s encoding profile matches the quality mode you intend to use.

Prepare the prerecorded video
Upload a new VoD
- In the StreamShark portal, open Video on Demand and add the source video.
- For a file under 5 GB, the support guide describes uploading it from your computer. For a larger file, upload it to the file bucket first, then select it from there.
- Enter the title, description and tags, and select the Live Scheduler HD encoding profile if you are preparing an HD schedule. Submit the VoD for processing.
- Wait until the VoD is marked ACTIVE. The guide says a VoD must be active to use in a Live Schedule.
Prepare an existing VoD or configure encoding manually
For an existing VoD, open its settings, select the Live Scheduler HD profile and save. StreamShark’s guide also documents manual profile configurations:

These are the configurations documented in StreamShark’s guide; confirm that the profile matches the quality mode selected for your schedule. A VoD with an incompatible profile cannot be added. The guide notes that content encoded with the Live Scheduler profile is intended for the scheduler and cannot be accessed directly as ordinary VoD.

Create the Live Schedule
- Open Live Scheduler and choose Add.
- Enter a title, description and tags.
- Select the video player template and the schedule’s quality mode. Select an ingest if applicable.
- Choose the schedule type and configure the timing. For a one-off schedule, set its date, start time and time zone. For a recurring schedule, choose the dates or date range and set the start times and time zone. Multiple start times on one day are supported.
- For a continuous broadcast, enable Loop Content. You may set a start time or leave the schedule to be started manually. Enable privacy if you want a protected schedule.
- Save or create the schedule, then use Add Videos to select the prepared VoD.
You can add a video more than once and drag videos to change their order. After changing the schedule’s contents, choose Update Live Schedule to apply the changes.
Wait for sync, then start the broadcast
After adding the video and updating the schedule, allow time for any upload, encoding and content sync to finish. StreamShark’s guide recommends preparing large files well ahead of the planned broadcast. During synchronization, the schedule shows Syncing Content; wait until its state becomes Scheduled or Ready.

A schedule with a configured start time begins automatically at that time. To start it early or start a schedule without a timed start, use Go Live Now. Use Stop Broadcast to end it. Without Loop Content, the schedule finishes when its videos have played; with looping enabled, it continues until you stop it.
Connect YouTube as the destination
StreamShark identifies YouTube as a supported destination for Live Scheduler output and says the service can multistream to destinations including YouTube. That establishes destination support, but the available official guidance does not specify the current portal menu path, authorization flow, or YouTube-side event and ingest requirements.

Before the scheduled start, check the current StreamShark account or an official destination-specific guide for the YouTube target setup. Treat the StreamShark Live Schedule and any YouTube event or destination configuration as separate pieces of the workflow: do not assume that creating one automatically creates or configures the other. Interface labels can also change as StreamShark updates its portal; use the closest current equivalent if a label differs.

- Live Scheduler is missing: Check whether your subscription has a Dedicated Server attached, then ask your representative or account manager about access.
- The VoD does not appear or cannot be added: Confirm it is marked ACTIVE and that its encoding profile matches the schedule’s HD or 4K quality mode.
- The schedule remains in Syncing Content: Allow more time for upload, processing and sync, especially for larger files. Prepare the VoD well before the scheduled start.
- The broadcast does not start at the expected time: Check the schedule’s date, start time and time zone, and verify that its state is Scheduled or Ready. Use Go Live Now if you need to start manually.
- The YouTube destination is not configured: The support guidance confirms YouTube destination support but does not document the current connection steps. Verify target authorization and any YouTube-side requirements in current official instructions rather than guessing at portal controls.
- The video ends sooner than expected: A schedule ends when its videos finish unless Loop Content is enabled. Enable looping for continuous playback, and stop the broadcast manually when it should end.
