Before you schedule a playlist stream
Confirm YouTube live-stream eligibility
Your YouTube channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. These YouTube requirements apply even when Gyre operates the broadcast. See YouTube’s live-streaming requirements and limits.
Prepare the stream, but do not launch it
Create the live stream in YouTube Studio and in your Gyre account, following Gyre’s scheduler workflow, but leave it unlaunched. You will select that prepared stream in the scheduler rather than starting it immediately. Gyre’s scheduler guide has the detailed setup instructions.
Choose visibility and automatic controls in YouTube
In the YouTube stream settings, enable auto-start and auto-stop so the broadcast can begin and end according to the Gyre schedule. YouTube allows Public, Private, and Unlisted streams; for this particular Gyre setup, its guide instructs creators to use Public visibility. YouTube notes that auto-start and auto-stop settings can be copied when stream settings are reused; verify them on the stream you are scheduling rather than assuming they carried over. Schedule the stream in Gyre
- Open Streams Scheduler. In your Gyre account, go to Streams Scheduler.
- Add the prepared stream. Choose the live stream you created in YouTube Studio and Gyre. Keep it unlaunched while you configure the calendar event.
- Name the calendar item. Enter a display name so you can identify the event in the scheduler calendar.
- Choose a launch format. Select the launch format offered for the stream you are scheduling.
- Set its date and start time. Choose when the broadcast should begin. Gyre’s calendar can be viewed by month, week, or day.
- Set an end time if needed. Add an end time when you want the scheduled broadcast to stop; otherwise, omit it. YouTube auto-stop must be enabled for the scheduled end behavior.
- Review the event. Locate it in the calendar or use the search control, then open its details to check the stream and timing. Gyre says scheduled events can be edited or deleted, so correct or remove an entry there if plans change.
Gyre’s step-by-step scheduler guide documents the detailed workflow. Its newer scheduler update also describes adding a stream and editing or removing scheduled events.
Check plan access and simultaneous-stream limits
Gyre scheduler access
Gyre’s May 2026 update lists Streams Scheduler access on the free trial, Start+, and PRO+, but not Start. The older detailed scheduler guide names Start+ or Pro+ and does not mention the trial, so use the newer update for current access and check the plan screen in your account before purchasing; plan names and included features can change.

YouTube concurrency limits
YouTube lists limits of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key, with both limits applying at the same time. If you schedule concurrent broadcasts, make sure your planned active streams stay within both caps; Gyre does not remove YouTube’s limits.
What scheduling does for viewers
A scheduled YouTube live stream may appear as an upcoming event in subscribers’ feeds, and viewers may be able to select “Notify me” for a reminder. This gives interested viewers a way to find the event and request a reminder, but it does not guarantee that every subscriber will see it or receive a notification. Scheduling alone does not guarantee views, watch time, or monetization.
