Each can have its own start time, reminder, watch page, and archive. A continuous 24/7 prerecorded loop is a different setup: it keeps uploaded material playing, but it is not the same as scheduling separate live appearances or automatically switching programs by time of day.
Choose the format that matches your study stream

Use separate events when your audience should know exactly when you will be present. A continuous loop can complement them between sessions, but the available YouTube encoder guidance does not establish a native daily recurrence that creates distinct morning and evening events or changes a loop by time of day.

Schedule the morning and evening events in YouTube Studio
- Open Live Control Room. In YouTube Studio, go to Live Control Room and open Manage.
- Schedule the morning event. Choose the option to schedule a stream, then create a new event or reuse settings from a previous stream. Set the date and start time in the time zone shown by YouTube, and add the event’s title, description, and visibility.
- Schedule the evening event separately. Repeat the process with its own date and time. Keep the times consistent if that is sustainable for you, and tell viewers in advance if the schedule changes.
- Verify reused settings before sharing. Reusing settings copies the previous stream’s metadata, settings, and stream key; auto-start and auto-stop choices are copied too. Check the date, time, title, visibility, and relevant settings on each event rather than assuming they updated.
- Share each event’s watch page. A scheduled stream may appear as upcoming in subscribers’ feeds, where viewers can choose “Notify me.” Share the correct event link for each session.
Choose start times for the time zones you want to serve and the routine you can maintain. There is no established universal best morning or evening time, and a scheduled event does not guarantee attendance.

Start and end each live session
- Prepare the encoder and event. YouTube recommends setting up the encoder at least two hours before the event and starting it at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start.
- Enter the event’s connection details. In the encoder, use that scheduled event’s server URL and stream key. Confirm you have selected the correct event, particularly if you reuse settings.
- Start the encoder and check the preview. Wait for the incoming video to appear in Live Control Room. Check the picture, sound, and stream details before inviting viewers into the session.
- Go live. Click Go live in Live Control Room unless encoder auto-start is enabled for the event.
- End the broadcast deliberately. End the session in YouTube and stop the encoder as appropriate for your configured workflow. Do not leave a session running merely to create the appearance of a 24/7 schedule.
YouTube recommends checking that a local archive file is growing and monitoring audio and video quality during the broadcast. Its guidance also says expensive equipment is not necessary to get started.

Give each study session a clear shape
A repeatable format helps viewers know what to expect without requiring you to fill quiet study time with constant commentary. One workable outline is:
- Welcome and check-in: say what the session is for and invite viewers to name a study goal.
- Focus block: state the planned duration, then keep the stream quiet enough for viewers to work.
- Short break: mark the pause clearly so viewers can stretch or reset.
- Further focus blocks: repeat the work-and-break rhythm if it fits your session.
- Progress check and close: invite viewers to note what they completed and say when the next session is scheduled.
These are format suggestions, not YouTube requirements. A 2022 observational and interview study of Study With Me livestreams on Bilibili describes motivations including supervision, finding like-minded study partners, and helping or accompanying others. Its findings concern that platform and study context; they do not prove that a particular format increases attendance or produces the same effects on YouTube.

Plan around YouTube’s archive limit
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived. Streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. If a replay matters, schedule morning and evening as separate sessions under 12 hours and keep a local recording as a backup. Do not rely on a single all-day broadcast to produce a complete replay.

A prerecorded loop can keep study ambience or another uploaded recording available between your live sessions. It does not, by itself, give viewers a separately scheduled morning or evening event, and it is not a live appearance by you. You can combine a loop with scheduled sessions if you manage each format’s setup and confirm the current YouTube settings and any service’s capabilities.
