YouTube Studio schedules the live event and its watch page; it does not schedule Hindi and English playlists to take turns within one continuous broadcast. To alternate language blocks, schedule the playback in an encoder or an automation service, then connect that feed to YouTube Live Control Room. Test the complete timetable with an unlisted stream before announcing it.
What you need to schedule
Think of the broadcast as two connected parts: the YouTube event viewers open, and the playback feed that supplies the video and audio. YouTube’s guide covers creating and scheduling the event, while an encoder or playback service supplies the continuous feed. Google’s API documentation likewise distinguishes a liveBroadcast (the viewer-facing event) from a liveStream (the feed); it describes a 24/7 feed alongside a separate broadcast: YouTube Live Streaming API documentation.

For a Hindi/English timetable, prepare the media and schedule in the playback layer. YouTube’s standard video playlists are not a scheduler for switching the content of an ongoing live event. The reviewed YouTube setup documentation does not describe a Studio feature that automatically rotates two language playlists inside one live event.

Prepare the language blocks
- Write down the days, start times, time zone, and duration of each Hindi and English block. Decide what plays at a transition and whether each playlist loops.
- Prepare the video files and confirm you have the rights to broadcast every video, recording, song, and other audio element. A playlist or streaming subscription does not grant rebroadcast rights.
- Choose a playback method that supports the exact sequence and timing you need, including looping, transitions, and what happens after a restart or dropped connection. Feature support varies by product; verify it rather than assuming all 24/7 tools work alike.
Choose how to supply the continuous feed
Pick the playback system before scheduling the public event: its output must reach YouTube as a live feed. You can run the feed locally with encoder software or hardware, or use a cloud service that plays uploaded videos. A hybrid setup is also possible. YouTube lists encoder categories and verified options, but inclusion on a verified list is not an endorsement or a guarantee of playlist scheduling features: YouTube encoder options.

Schedule the YouTube live event
- In YouTube Studio, select Create > Go Live, then open Manage and choose Schedule stream.
- Create a new stream or reuse settings. Reuse can copy metadata, settings, and the stream key, so check the title, description, visibility, event details, and credentials before saving. See YouTube’s live stream settings guide.
- Set the event’s planned start time and visibility. Scheduling creates an upcoming watch page that you can share; subscribers may see the scheduled stream and select “Notify me,” depending on their settings and YouTube’s presentation.
- When it is time to connect, start the encoder or playback service with YouTube’s stream URL and stream key. In Live Control Room, wait for the preview and follow the on-screen prompt to select Go live. The scheduled event creates the viewing destination; the playback system still has to send the feed. Follow the current steps in YouTube’s encoder guide.
Set and test the Hindi/English rotation
Configure the playback system’s schedule, not the YouTube video-playlist page. The exact controls depend on the encoder or cloud service you choose. Set each language block’s start and end, then check the transition behavior and whether the selected playlist loops if it ends early. Before promoting the schedule, run an unlisted event through at least one complete language change.

- Confirm that the right playlist starts at each time in the time zone you intend to publish.
- Listen to the end and start of each block for abrupt cuts, silence, or mismatched audio levels.
- Watch the transition and confirm the feed continues rather than ending the YouTube event.
- Interrupt and restore the connection in a test, if practical, to learn how the playback system behaves after a drop or restart.
- Open the watch page from a separate viewer account and confirm the stream is visible as intended.
YouTube recommends a schedule that matches your content volume and is sustainable, and advises telling viewers about the schedule and communicating changes: YouTube’s upload schedule guidance.

Rights, live access, and archiving
Check channel access and content rights
Make sure live streaming is enabled for the channel and comply with YouTube’s policies. You need the rights to broadcast each video and music track in every rotation; permission to use a playlist, a file, or an automation service is not by itself permission to rebroadcast its contents.

Plan separately for long broadcasts
YouTube says, “All streams under 12 hours will be automatically archived.” That stated automatic-archive condition is limited to streams under 12 hours; do not assume YouTube will save a full-day or longer broadcast as a complete recording. If you need a full archive, arrange and test a separate recording workflow. See YouTube’s encoder guide.
Troubleshoot common scheduling problems
