To schedule Hindi and English lessons on YouTube, either create separate scheduled lesson events in YouTube Studio or run a continuous feed that rotates through clearly labeled language blocks. A 24/7 feed can give learners one persistent destination, but it needs a transition and failure plan, and YouTube currently supports only one live caption track per stream entry point. If preserving each lesson as an automatic archive matters, plan segments under 12 hours and keep a local recording backup.
Choose a schedule that fits how students learn
First decide whether learners need a teacher-led event at a set time or an always-available room of lessons. Also decide whether the main audience is in India, the diaspora, or spread across regions. There is no universal best hour for Hindi or English lessons: use your channel analytics and viewer feedback, then publish the timetable in UTC with the relevant local time zones clearly labeled.

For either format, identify whether lessons are live or recorded, whether Hindi and English need separate feeds, what caption access learners require, how archives will be kept, and who will monitor the stream. These choices determine the workload and reliability plan.
Check that the channel can go live
YouTube Help says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days to enable live streaming. YouTube lists mobile, webcam, encoder, and console methods; for a scheduled lesson or continuous programmed feed, use the encoder workflow in Live Control Room. Schedule a lesson in YouTube Studio
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live → Manage → Schedule Stream.
- Reuse a previous stream’s settings or create a new stream. Set the lesson title, description, start time, and visibility, and check the other event settings before saving.
- Open the upcoming stream page and share it with students. A scheduled page can be shared, and viewers can set a reminder.
- In your encoder, enter the stream URL and stream key shown by YouTube. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or include it in lesson materials.
- Wait for the encoder preview in Live Control Room, check that the intended feed is coming through, then start the broadcast there.
For a recurring class, create a schedule students can interpret across time zones. Put the language and level in each event title—for example, “Hindi | Beginner | Fractions”—and include the next session time in the description or lesson card.

Build a continuous Hindi-English timetable
Make each language block obvious
Alternate Hindi and English lessons at predictable intervals, rather than switching without warning. At each transition, show a title card that identifies the language, subject, level, and next start time. If learners arrive mid-lesson, the card and a consistent timetable help them understand what is playing and when to return.

For a single continuous feed managed through YouTube’s Live Streaming API, Google documents a pattern using one live stream resource—the delivery settings—and multiple scheduled broadcast resources bound to it. In that pattern, only one broadcast event is live at a time. This is an API scheduling model, not a guarantee that every encoder or third-party service handles transitions automatically. Separate scheduled events may be a better fit when lessons have individual teachers, distinct start times, or event-specific chat and archives. A continuous feed is more suitable when learners want a single destination and the program can rotate predictably.
Plan Hindi and English captions before launch
YouTube’s current live-caption guidance says captions must be sent to YouTube, either embedded or through a supported delivery workflow. Although the 608/708 standard supports up to four language tracks, YouTube currently supports one caption track per stream entry point. That means a single entry point should not be advertised as offering simultaneous Hindi and English live caption tracks. See YouTube’s live caption requirements.

If both caption languages are essential, verify the actual caption workflow and viewer experience before launch. Options to evaluate include changing caption language by segment or using separate language-specific events or feeds; the cited YouTube guidance does not establish that either option provides the same simultaneous experience. Tell learners which language captions are available for each lesson.

Keep archive-focused broadcasts below 12 hours
YouTube says, “If your live stream is less than 12 hours, YouTube can automatically archive it for you.” It also warns, “If your stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all.” These are archive limits, not a promise that every shorter stream will be saved. If retaining an archive matters, end or hand off the broadcast before it reaches 12 hours and keep a local recording backup. See YouTube’s archive live streams guidance.

Use material cleared for live and archived use
The channel is responsible for having the necessary rights to lesson recordings and any music or other third-party material in them, for both live and archived use. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. It may replace the feed temporarily with a placeholder and can interrupt or terminate the stream if a match remains unresolved. A rights holder who licenses material may need to allowlist the channel in Content ID to prevent interruptions. Review YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams and its Terms of Service.
Troubleshoot common scheduling problems
- The channel cannot enable live streaming: Check channel verification and whether live-streaming restrictions have applied within the previous 90 days.
- The scheduled page is not receiving the encoder feed: Check that the encoder uses the stream URL and key for the intended event, then wait for the Live Control Room preview before starting the broadcast.
- A lesson is missing from the archive: Check its duration. Streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all; use a local recording backup when the archive is important.
- Music or a clip interrupts the lesson: Review rights for the material’s live and archived use. Resolve any third-party match with the rights holder; a licensed owner may need to allowlist the channel in Content ID.
- Students cannot select both Hindi and English live captions: YouTube currently supports one live caption track per stream entry point. Verify the chosen caption workflow and explain the available language for each segment or event.
