Instead, use Indian Standard Time (IST, UTC+05:30) as a clear nationwide schedule reference, arrange devotional videos manually, and schedule a video or Community post when you want something to go public or be promoted at a particular time.
What “different Indian time zones” means for a YouTube playlist
India uses IST as its countrywide time reference; it is UTC+05:30 and is maintained by CSIR-NPL, according to a 27 January 2025 Government of India announcement about draft Legal Metrology (Indian Standard Time) Rules. That announcement does not establish that the draft rules were enacted. Read the Government of India announcement.

YouTube documents playlist creation and manual reordering separately from scheduling a video’s publication. The cited Help pages do not document a control that automatically changes playlist order according to a viewer’s location or local clock. That conclusion is limited to those documented controls; it does not make a claim about every third-party creator tool.
Choose a playlist setup that fits your devotional content
One playlist, manually reordered
Use one playlist if the same collection should serve all viewers. You choose the sequence, then change it yourself when you want a different video to come first.

Separate playlists for different listening occasions
Create distinct lists when the content or intended occasion differs—for example, morning prayers and evening bhajans. Share the appropriate playlist URL with viewers. This is a way to curate separate collections, not an automatic switch based on a viewer’s time zone.
Scheduled video or scheduled post
Schedule a new devotional video when you want it to become public at a particular time. Schedule a Community post when you want to announce or share a playlist at a particular time. A post promotes the playlist; it does not reorder it.

How to organize and promote a devotional playlist
- Create the playlist: In YouTube Studio, create a playlist for the devotional content and listening occasion. Give it a clear title and description, choose its visibility, and add the videos. YouTube’s instructions are in Create & manage playlists.
- Arrange the sequence: Open the playlist and drag videos into the order you want. This is a manual ordering action, so make changes yourself when the intended sequence changes.
- Share the relevant list: Copy the playlist URL. If you have separate morning and evening collections, share the one that fits the announcement rather than implying YouTube will select it for each viewer.
- Schedule a promotional post if useful: Create a Community post, include the playlist URL, and choose its date, time, and time zone. See YouTube’s instructions for creating a post on a computer.
- Schedule a new video separately: In YouTube Studio, set the video’s publication date, time, and time zone. A scheduled video remains private until publication. After it becomes public, add it to the appropriate playlist and adjust the order if needed. Follow YouTube’s video scheduling instructions.
- Label the time clearly: Write, for example, “7:00 PM IST (UTC+05:30)” in the description or post. YouTube recommends planning a consistent, sustainable upload schedule; that guidance is about publishing practice, not automatic playlist rotation. See YouTube’s upload schedule tips.
Check the displayed date for a scheduled release
YouTube says the “Published on” date shown on a watch page is based on Pacific Standard Time (PST). If a video is scheduled in a time zone ahead of PST, the date shown on the watch page can differ from the date shown in Studio. Before advertising a date-sensitive release, check the actual watch page; an India-local publication time may be correct even if the displayed calendar date differs.

Or let it run in the cloud
If your devotional content is a prerecorded video you want to keep live as a YouTube stream, StreamNeo is a separate option from scheduling or organizing playlists: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops uploaded videos from the cloud, so no computer or home connection has to stay on. It streams to YouTube only; it does not go live from a camera.
