To run a devotional series every day, schedule seven separate YouTube Live events—one for each day—and connect a live camera, encoder, or prerecorded-video playout feed to each event at its start time. YouTube Studio’s scheduling workflow creates upcoming event pages; it does not itself turn a regular playlist into a livestream or document a one-click weekly recurrence.
First decide whether you mean a series of upcoming live broadcasts or prerecorded videos played out as one continuous live feed. The setup differs, and a normal YouTube playlist serves viewers watching videos rather than broadcasting them live.

Seven scheduled live sessions
If a host will lead prayer, reflection, or a reading at a set time each day, create a separate scheduled YouTube Live event for each session. Each event gets its own date and time and an upcoming page that you can share with viewers.
A normal YouTube playlist for replays
A YouTube playlist organizes videos for people to watch on demand. Its Loop control repeats playback for an individual viewer; it does not send the playlist out as a live broadcast. You can still use a playlist to collect recordings from the week alongside your scheduled events. See YouTube’s guides to creating and managing playlists and looping a playlist or video.

Prerecorded videos broadcast as live
To present prerecorded devotionals as one live broadcast, an encoder or compatible cloud playout service must play the files and send a live feed to the scheduled YouTube event. Scheduling the event alone does not play or transmit the recordings.
Plan a sustainable seven-day schedule
Before opening Studio, make a simple planning sheet. Use your audience’s local time, and include the time zone in the schedule and event descriptions so viewers in other regions can interpret the start time. YouTube recommends a consistent, sustainable cadence and suggests considering whether content is tied to particular days. Its advice is to make a schedule that fits your content and workload, rather than adding sessions simply to fill all seven days.
| Day | Local start time and time zone | Theme or reading | Host or source | Format | Scheduled event link |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | Set explicitly | Your choice | Name the host or recording | Genuinely live or prerecorded feed | Add after scheduling |
| Tuesday | Set explicitly | Your choice | Name the host or recording | Genuinely live or prerecorded feed | Add after scheduling |
| Wednesday | Set explicitly | Your choice | Name the host or recording | Genuinely live or prerecorded feed | Add after scheduling |
| Thursday | Set explicitly | Your choice | Name the host or recording | Genuinely live or prerecorded feed | Add after scheduling |
| Friday | Set explicitly | Your choice | Name the host or recording | Genuinely live or prerecorded feed | Add after scheduling |
| Saturday | Set explicitly | Your choice | Name the host or recording | Genuinely live or prerecorded feed | Add after scheduling |
| Sunday | Set explicitly | Your choice | Name the host or recording | Genuinely live or prerecorded feed | Add after scheduling |
Choose themes that suit your community and tradition; a Monday-to-Sunday theme sequence is an editorial choice, not a YouTube requirement. Decide whether finished broadcasts should remain public as replays. YouTube’s upload schedule tips cover cadence, consistency, sustainability, day-linked content, and archive planning.

Check channel eligibility and content rights
Before announcing the series, verify the channel can livestream. YouTube’s getting-started guidance says the channel must be verified, have no livestreaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and the streamer must be at least 16. Check the account’s current eligibility in Studio, since account status and platform controls can change.
Confirm that you have permission to use every part of each broadcast, including devotional readings, music, images, and recordings. A religious or devotional purpose does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast copyrighted material. Check licenses and any applicable terms for the exact content you plan to use before scheduling or publishing.
Schedule each event in YouTube Studio
- Sign in to YouTube Studio and open Create → Go Live → Manage → Schedule stream. YouTube’s encoder setup guide documents this scheduling workflow. Studio labels may change, so follow the current controls shown in your account.
- Choose to create a new stream or reuse prior settings. Reuse can save time for a recurring format, but review the copied details rather than assuming every field is right. YouTube describes reuse settings and stream-key handling in its stream settings guide.
- Enter a clear title that identifies the day or theme, then set the date, start time, time zone, visibility, audience setting, description, and other event details. Make each day’s page distinct enough that viewers can tell which session they are choosing.
- Save or schedule the event, then open its upcoming page and check the details. Scheduling lets you promote the stream; viewers may be able to opt in to a reminder, depending on the available YouTube controls.
- Repeat for the other six dates. The Studio workflow documented by YouTube creates scheduled events; it does not describe an automatic weekly recurrence switch. Treat the seven dates as separate events and verify each one individually.
- Share the event pages in your channel and other communications. If a date, host, or theme changes, update the relevant event and notify viewers through the channels you use.
Connect the live feed when it is time to broadcast
For a host speaking live
Open the scheduled event in Live Control Room and connect the webcam or encoder that will send its video and audio. With an encoder, use the stream URL and stream key shown for the event, then start sending the feed when you are ready. A scheduled page and a working feed are separate parts of the setup: the page can exist before any video is being sent.

For prerecorded devotionals
Use an encoder or playout service that can play the source files in sequence and send the resulting feed to the scheduled YouTube event. Confirm the service supports the scheduling behavior you need, and check its current availability, terms, price, and recovery behavior directly with the vendor. For example, Restream documents scheduling a prerecorded video playlist; that feature description alone does not establish current suitability or terms for your channel.
Test the complete sequence before relying on it for a public daily program: confirm the correct event is selected, the first and later clips play in order, audio is audible, and the feed reaches YouTube. Do not assume that uploading videos to a normal YouTube playlist performs these playout steps.

A prerecorded playlist is not broadcasting
A standard YouTube playlist is for viewer playback, not live playout. Configure a compatible encoder or service to play the files and send the feed to YouTube, then test the sequence before the scheduled time.
The stream key is rejected or exposed
Recheck that the encoder is using the intended event’s stream URL and key, with no accidental spaces or stale credentials. If a key may have been exposed, manage or replace it through YouTube’s stream settings and update the encoder before going live.
The weekly schedule or shared time looks wrong
Review the date, start time, and time zone on every event page. Do not assume a saved event repeats weekly or that viewers in other regions will interpret a time without its zone.
