Create and review an event for each date in YouTube Studio, then check the completed stream archive and place it in the appropriate weekday playlist. If by “livestream playlist” you mean prerecorded videos broadcast as a live feed, use a playlist playout workflow instead; that is a different task.
First, decide what you mean by “livestream playlist”
- Weekday playlists for recordings: You want Monday’s completed livestream in a Monday playlist, Tuesday’s recording in a Tuesday playlist, and so on. Schedule each event, then check the archive’s playlist membership after it ends.
- Prerecorded videos broadcast as a live feed: You want a sequence of uploaded videos to play as a livestream on a weekday schedule. That is not the same as organizing completed livestream recordings into YouTube playlists. Restream describes a scheduled playlist feature for this use case; confirm its current features, eligibility, pricing, and availability in India before relying on it (Restream Help).
The YouTube workflow below covers scheduled live events and organizing their archives. The reviewed YouTube Help pages do not document a native recurring weekday rule that automatically changes playlist membership. An account interface may offer additional controls, so check the current options in your Studio account.

Schedule separate livestream events for each weekday
1. Set the weekly pattern and India time
List each weekday, the planned date and start time, and the content theme. Use the date and time shown in YouTube Studio and confirm the displayed time zone before publishing. Include the India-local schedule in the event description or a channel schedule so viewers can understand when each programme begins. YouTube recommends communicating a consistent schedule and notifying viewers about changes (YouTube Help: Schedule a live stream).
2. Create an event for each planned date
- In YouTube Studio, open Create → Go Live → Manage → Schedule stream.
- Create a new stream, or choose Reuse settings from a previous stream if that is useful.
- For each weekday’s event, review and update the title, description, thumbnail, date and time, audience setting, and visibility. Reusing settings can copy metadata, stream settings, and the stream key; do not assume copied details are right for the new event.
- Use a recognizable naming pattern, such as “Monday | [series]” and “Tuesday | [series],” and make the content distinction clear in the description.
- Review the event details and any playlist controls that Studio makes available before scheduling. Do not assume that scheduling an event assigns its eventual archive to a weekday playlist.
YouTube says a scheduled stream can be promoted and viewers may choose Notify me on the upcoming event. Share the event page with viewers if you want them to find it in advance (YouTube Help: Manage live stream settings).

3. Choose how to send the live video
If you use an encoder, YouTube provides a stream URL and stream key for the encoder. Keep the key private and use the scheduled event’s intended stream settings; if you reuse a key or settings, verify that they match the event you plan to run (YouTube Help: Stream using an encoder). For an eligible mobile workflow, YouTube’s app also supports scheduling a stream for later and selecting that scheduled stream from the calendar (YouTube Help: Create a mobile live stream). The reviewed help does not establish that mobile scheduling automates weekday playlist assignment.
Put each completed stream in its weekday playlist
After the event, find the recording in YouTube Studio under Content → Live. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. Check the archive’s visibility and details, then add it to the playlist for that weekday if it is not already there (YouTube Help: Archive live streams; YouTube Help: Create and manage playlists).

Scheduling, archiving, and playlist organization are separate parts of this workflow in the reviewed help pages. Verify the final playlist membership rather than assuming the archive was filed automatically.
Test before using the schedule every week
- Schedule one low-risk event with the intended title, date, time, audience, visibility, and stream source.
- Check the event page and confirm that the displayed start time matches the intended India-local time.
- Run the stream using the selected encoder or eligible mobile workflow.
- After it ends, locate the archive in Content → Live and confirm its details and playlist placement.
- Only after checking the whole route should you reuse the event pattern for the remaining weekdays.
Which workflow fits your goal?
| Workflow | Best fit | What to account for |
|---|---|---|
| Separate scheduled events in YouTube Studio | Different live events or presenters on different weekdays | Create and review each event; check where its completed archive is filed. |
| YouTube mobile scheduling | A live broadcast created and operated from an eligible phone workflow | Scheduling for later is documented; weekday playlist automation is not established. |
| Third-party prerecorded playlist playout | Automatically broadcasting prerecorded videos as a live feed | This is distinct from archive organization; verify current service terms and India availability. |
Common problems and fixes
- The event starts at the wrong time: Check the time zone displayed in Studio and compare the event page with your intended India-local time before sharing it.
- The wrong weekday’s title or details appear: When using Reuse settings, review all copied metadata and stream settings before scheduling.
- The recording is not in the expected playlist: Open the archive under Content → Live and check its playlist membership; add it to the correct weekday playlist if needed.
- The archive is missing or incomplete: Check the event’s status and duration. YouTube says streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured, so do not rely on a long event being archived in full.
- You meant prerecorded videos, not recorded live events: Use a workflow that supports scheduled playlist playout, rather than looking for an archive playlist setting.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your weekday plan is to broadcast prerecorded videos as a continuous YouTube livestream, StreamNeo is a cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops the uploaded videos from the cloud, so nothing has to stay running at home. Your uploads stream as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for uploaded videos and YouTube livestreams, not camera broadcasting. Learn more at StreamNeo, or start the free first day.
