Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →To keep bhajans playing on YouTube around the clock during Navratri, you need more than a scheduled YouTube event: you need a continuous video source. YouTube’s scheduling controls set when a broadcast begins; they do not, by themselves, loop a playlist of prerecorded videos. First confirm your channel can livestream, then choose between operating an encoder yourself and using a cloud service that plays uploaded videos. Before either route, make sure you have the necessary livestream rights for every recording and composition in the playlist.
First, confirm your channel can livestream
YouTube Help says a channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days to go live. YouTube lists mobile, webcam, and encoder as ways to livestream; an encoder is one option, not a requirement for every kind of stream. The eligibility guidance was accessed October 3, 2026, so check the current requirements in YouTube Help and your channel’s Live Control Room before planning the event.

- Verify the channel. Complete YouTube’s channel-verification process if it is not already verified.
- Check for restrictions. Confirm the channel has not had a live-streaming restriction in the prior 90 days. If it has, do not assume that scheduling an event will bypass the restriction.
- Choose a source for the stream. Decide whether you will provide live input yourself, such as an encoder feed, or have a service play prerecorded files continuously.
Scheduled broadcast or continuous playlist?
A scheduled broadcast is an event with a planned start time (and, optionally, an end time). A continuous bhajan channel is an operating setup that keeps sending video and audio to that event, often by repeating prerecorded material. Creating the event does not create that continuous input.

| Approach | What it does | What you still need to arrange |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube scheduled broadcast | Sets up a broadcast to begin at a chosen time. YouTube’s API supports scheduled broadcasts; omitting a scheduled end time is treated as indefinite. | A live source that sends video and audio, plus someone or something to keep that source running. An indefinite event setting is not a prerecorded-playlist workflow. |
| Encoder-based stream | Sends a live feed to YouTube from encoder software or hardware. The feed may be a prepared video sequence, provided the encoder keeps outputting it. | A configured, connected encoder and a plan to monitor and recover the feed. YouTube recommends professional-grade hardware encoders for higher-production events, but its guidance does not require one for a prerecorded bhajan stream. |
| Cloud service for prerecorded files | Plays uploaded or cloud-stored videos as a continuous YouTube stream, according to the service’s workflow. | Compatible videos, YouTube connection details, a schedule, and confirmation that the service’s current plan and duration limits fit your event. |
YouTube’s API behavior about an indefinite scheduled broadcast concerns the broadcast’s end time. It does not certify that a playlist will repeat, keep an encoder connected, or recover a dropped feed.

Plan the Navratri schedule before you create the stream
There is no single day-by-day playlist order or timezone that fits every Navratri audience. Decide which regional calendar and audience you are serving, which year’s observances you are following, and what timezone the start time should use. A 2021 Indian government notice documented special Navratri broadcasts by Doordarshan and All India Radio, including YouTube distribution; it is a historical example, not a current-year calendar or schedule template.
- Pick the audience and timezone. State the timezone in announcements and promotional posts, especially if viewers are in multiple regions.
- Build the running order. Decide whether the sequence changes by day, repeats one playlist, or alternates prayer, aarti, and bhajan segments. Check transitions and total runtime so a planned repeat is intentional.
- Test the actual files. Listen for silence, abrupt edits, inconsistent loudness, missing audio, and video that does not match the intended devotional program.
- Schedule promotion separately. Share the YouTube event link and its timezone clearly; a scheduled event and the continuous playback system are separate parts of the setup.
Protect music rights before going live
YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the channel operator to have the necessary rights for worldwide exploitation of live content on Google services, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. This is YouTube’s contractual language, not legal advice. A devotional theme, a track labeled “free” online, or purchasing a download does not by itself establish permission to livestream that music.
For each track, confirm permissions for the composition and the particular sound recording where applicable, as well as the territories and uses covered. Ask the rights owner whether your channel needs to be added to an allowlist. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content; a match can trigger a warning and placeholder image, and if it remains, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the stream. If the livestream is archived, Content ID claims may also be made after it completes.

- Keep written license terms and permission records accessible to whoever operates the stream.
- Check that permissions cover livestreaming, the planned territories, and any archive or replay you intend to keep.
- Do not treat a successful test or the absence of an immediate warning as proof that every track is cleared.
- If a rights owner says the channel must be allowlisted, arrange that before the event and confirm it applies to the channel you will use.
Set up the stream: choose the workflow that matches the job
Option 1: YouTube event plus your own encoder
Use this route if you want to operate the playback and connection yourself. A computer running encoder software can send a prepared sequence; a hardware video encoder for YouTube live streaming is another possible input device, but check a specific model’s supported protocols, output resolution, reliability, and compatibility before buying. YouTube’s guidance recommends professional-grade encoders for higher-production events; it does not establish hardware as necessary for a prerecorded bhajan stream.

- Shrink-wrapped
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Create > Go live. In Live Control Room, create or schedule the broadcast, enter its title and visibility, and set the intended start time. Confirm the timezone used for the event before promoting it.
- Choose the encoder workflow and retrieve the stream details. Use the stream key and server information shown in Live Control Room. Treat the stream key as a password: do not publish it, include it in a public screenshot, or share it with anyone who does not operate the stream.
- Configure the encoder with the event’s stream details. Select the prepared video or playlist as its input, and use YouTube’s current encoder guidance for supported output settings. The supplied material does not establish a single bitrate, resolution, or keyframe interval for every channel and stream, so do not copy generic numbers without checking YouTube’s current recommendations and your encoder’s capabilities.
- Start a test well before the devotional program. Confirm that the encoder connects and that Live Control Room shows a preview. Check that the event is accessible to its intended audience, then listen and watch for audio, picture, and playlist-transition problems.
- Start the broadcast and monitor it. Keep the encoder and its network connection running for the full event. Monitor Live Control Room and the actual program output; have an operator ready to respond if the input or connection stops.
Scheduling the broadcast does not remove the need for the encoder to start and remain connected. If you want a continuous stream but do not want to operate an encoder, use a workflow specifically designed to play prerecorded videos continuously.
Option 2: A service workflow for prerecorded videos
OneStream Live’s Help Center describes scheduling selected uploaded or cloud-stored videos as a continuous YouTube stream: select the videos, connect YouTube, enter stream details, choose a start time and duration, and schedule it. That vendor documentation states the feature requires Enterprise and has a maximum duration of 30 days; the page was last updated September 3, 2026. Those are OneStream-specific terms, not YouTube-wide limits. Verify the vendor’s current plan conditions and duration limit before relying on this route for Navratri.

Whichever service you select, verify what it does with the stream key, how its loop or playlist behavior works, whether the planned duration fits one scheduled run, and what happens if YouTube disconnects the feed. Do not infer that every service offering “scheduled streaming” supports continuous looping.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is #1 for this use case because it keeps a prerecorded YouTube stream running from the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and gives each account a first day free. It is for uploaded videos, not camera-based live production, and streams to YouTube.

Quick Recap
Troubleshooting before and during the stream
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check or do |
|---|---|---|
| You cannot start a livestream | The channel is not verified or has had a live-streaming restriction within the previous 90 days. | Check channel verification and livestream eligibility in YouTube Studio. Resolve any restriction or wait until eligible before scheduling the program. |
| The event is scheduled, but nothing is playing | A scheduled broadcast was created without a connected live source. | Start the encoder or configure a service that plays prerecorded files. A scheduled start time alone does not provide a video feed. |
| The stream connects but the preview is blank or silent | The encoder input, file, audio track, or connection may not be configured as intended. | Inspect the selected source and audio routing, check the preview in Live Control Room, and run a full test using the actual playlist before the event. |
| YouTube warns about third-party content | A track may match protected material, or the rights owner may not have allowlisted the channel despite a license. | Follow the warning, confirm permissions and allowlisting directly with the rights owner, and remove or replace uncleared material where necessary. A license does not guarantee that an automated match will be suppressed. |
| The stream is interrupted or ends unexpectedly | YouTube may have acted on a persistent third-party-content match, or the encoder/service feed may have disconnected. | Check Live Control Room for the reason, address any rights issue, then restore the encoder or cloud playback according to its recovery workflow. Do not assume that the scheduled event itself restarts its source. |
| A scheduled duration does not cover the whole observance | The selected service or plan may impose a run-length cap; a vendor-specific limit is not a YouTube-wide rule. | Compare the planned continuous duration with the service’s current terms and arrange a tested schedule that covers the required time. |
