You may need the email address and four-digit download PIN supplied by the photographer. Choose whether to download one photo or selected gallery sets, then select an available size and destination. A full-gallery download arrives as a ZIP file; one photo can be downloaded directly from its image.
Download a full gallery on a computer
- Open the Pixieset collection and click the Download icon near the upper-right corner.
- Enter your email address and the download PIN if prompted, then continue.
- Choose which sets to include, select a download size and destination, and start the download.
- Wait for the files to finish processing. You can keep the browser open or leave; Pixieset says it will email you when the photos are ready.
The completed gallery download is a ZIP archive. See Pixieset’s client download instructions for the collection flow.

Download one photo on a computer
Hover over the image and click its Download icon. Enter your email and PIN if asked, choose an offered size and destination, then start the download. Pixieset says that after a successful download, you can download more photos in the same browser session without entering the email and PIN again.
Download photos on a phone
Save a full gallery
- Open the collection and tap the three-dot menu, then choose Download.
- Enter your email address and PIN if requested, and continue.
- Select the sets, size and destination, then start the download.
A full gallery saved locally on an iPhone or Android arrives as a ZIP file. Pixieset says the device can unzip it natively. The steps are documented in its mobile download guide.

Save one photo
Open the image and tap its Download icon. Enter the email and PIN if prompted, then select an available size and destination. On iPhone, the flow opens a browser window with instructions to long-press the photo to save it. On Android, the photo downloads immediately. Google Photos and Dropbox are also listed as destination choices; selecting either prompts you to sign in.
Choose the right download size
The photographer controls which sizes are available for a collection. Pixieset lists web sizes of 640px, 1024px and 2048px, plus high-resolution choices of 3600px or Original. These are product options, not a guarantee that every gallery offers all of them.

Pixieset does not upscale a smaller original to match a selected size, and Original availability depends on the gallery plan. If a downloaded photo seems smaller than expected, check the size selected and the options the collection offered. When the download button or PIN is missing
Downloads are controlled by the collection owner. Pixieset assigns collections a four-digit Download PIN by default, but the owner can view, change or deactivate it. The owner can also disable photo downloads or control full-gallery and single-photo downloads separately. If you cannot find a download control or do not have the correct PIN, ask the photographer or gallery owner to check the collection’s Download settings and provide access information.

Open a full-gallery ZIP file
After the gallery ZIP finishes downloading, extract it to access the photos:
- Mac: Double-click the ZIP file.
- Windows: Right-click the ZIP and choose Extract All or Extract Here.
If the extracted folder appears empty or files are missing on Windows, Pixieset identifies special characters in filenames as one possible cause. Another possibility is that some collection sets are marked unavailable for download. Ask the gallery owner to check filenames and the collection’s download settings. If the gallery shows a Buy option
A Store purchase is different from a free or session-included gallery download. Pixieset says Store digital downloads are delivered by email after purchase. The download link expires after seven days, and the seller can resend the files. Details are in Pixieset’s download overview.
