To keep a Reddit page on your device, take a browser screenshot for a visual record or use the browser’s print dialog to save a PDF. To find a post again through your Reddit account, choose Save; to try to preserve a copy online for others, submit the page to the Wayback Machine. These options do different things, so check the result before you close the page.

A screenshot is an image, while a PDF is a document created through printing; neither is the same as Reddit’s account bookmark or an online archive. Browser print results vary, and the available documentation does not establish that every Reddit page prints completely or identically.

Save a post to your Reddit account
- On reddit.com, open the post’s overflow menu.
- Select Save.
- To return to it later, open your profile and select Saved.
In Reddit’s mobile apps, open the post overflow menu and choose Save. To find saved posts, open the profile menu and choose Saved. Reddit’s help instructions were updated February 27, 2026. Saving a post bookmarks it to your account; it does not download a screenshot or PDF of the thread.
Capture a Reddit page as a screenshot
Use your browser’s built-in screenshot tool and choose its full-page option when available. For example, Mozilla documents a Firefox workflow that downloads screenshots as image files. Controls differ across browsers and devices, so follow the instructions for your browser rather than assuming every version has the same menu.

- Open the Reddit post or page you want to capture.
- Expand the comments and load any content you need included. A screenshot cannot be assumed to include collapsed or dynamically loaded material.
- Choose the browser’s full-page screenshot option, if available, and save the image.
- Open the saved image and check that it shows the intended post, context, and comments.
An image preserves appearance, but text in it may be less convenient to search or select than text in a document. A screenshot is not a PDF; converting it to PDF is a separate step.
Save a Reddit page as a PDF
Use the browser’s print command and select a PDF destination, such as Save as PDF, if your browser and device offer it. The exact controls depend on the browser, operating system, and device; the sources available do not establish one universally reliable Reddit-specific sequence.

- Open the Reddit page and load or expand the comments and other content you want to keep.
- Open the browser’s print dialog.
- Review the print preview. Check page breaks and whether the title, post text, images, and intended comments appear.
- Choose the available PDF destination and save the file.
- Open the PDF itself and verify the saved result before relying on it.
Do not assume the PDF is complete or visually identical to the web page just because the print dialog produced a file. If an important comment, image, or context is missing, try expanding or loading the content before printing, or capture a screenshot of the relevant view instead.

Submit a page to the Wayback Machine
For an online archive copy rather than a private local file, use the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine Save Page Now workflow. Submit the page, then open the resulting archived page to see what was preserved.

Do not assume the archive includes content that requires an account, is private, loads dynamically, or was unavailable to the archiver. The archived result is distinct from a file saved on your own device.
Optional third-party Reddit-to-PDF extensions
Browser extensions advertised for turning Reddit threads into PDFs are third-party software, not an official Reddit export feature. A Chrome Web Store listing for Reddit to PDF Saver claims to capture a thread and create a PDF; that claim has not been independently established here. Before installing an extension, review its current permissions, publisher, privacy disclosures, and compatibility with your browser. You do not need an extension to try the browser screenshot or print-to-PDF methods above.

Check the saved result before relying on it
- Is the post itself present, with the context you wanted?
- Are the relevant comments expanded and included?
- Are images or other visual details intact in the image or PDF?
- For a Wayback Machine submission, does the archived page actually open with the material you expected?
- Is this the kind of copy you wanted: an account bookmark, a local file, or an online archive?
Reddit pages can contain dynamic or collapsed content, and the available sources do not establish that every browser printout or online archive captures it all. Inspect the actual saved file or archived page rather than assuming it is complete.
