Think of the process as a filter. You first record games you genuinely might buy, then let notifications surface a possible buying moment. You still make the final decision from the live Store listing, where the applicable edition, currency, terms, and deadline are visible. This avoids spending time monitoring titles that never interested you and avoids treating an old alert as a current offer.

That second type of alert matters because catalog access is a different purchase decision from buying a permanent digital copy.

If an expected alert does not appear
- Confirm the game is still on your wishlist and that you saved the correct Store listing.
- Recheck the PS5 path or the PlayStation App path above and make sure Wishlist Updates is enabled.
- Open the game’s Store page directly to verify the current price; the notification system is not a substitute for checking the live listing.
