You can save an xHamster video only when an official download option is available or you have the rights-holder’s permission to retain it. Streaming access alone does not grant permission to copy a video. Check the specific video’s rights and xHamster’s current terms before downloading.
When can you download an xHamster video?
Use an official download feature if xHamster offers one for the particular video. The available sources do not establish that every video has such an option. If you uploaded the video yourself, or have a license or other permission to keep it offline, follow the authorized process provided by the rights-holder or the site.

xHamster’s Terms & Conditions / User Agreement say the service is for personal, non-commercial use and state: “You will not copy or distribute any part of the Site without Our prior written authorization.” The terms also prohibit downloading another user’s file when you know, or reasonably should know, it cannot legally be distributed in that manner. The terms page lists an effective date of October 04, 2026, and a last-modified date of March 09, 2026.
These terms do not determine every copyright question in every jurisdiction. They require users to follow applicable local law, and the age requirement also depends on the law where the user lives: the terms say users must meet the local age of majority and must not access the site where doing so would violate local law.

What to do if there is no download option
- Check the specific video page for an official download feature. Availability may differ by video.
- If you own the upload or have permission to retain it, use the rights-holder’s or site’s authorized method, or ask the rights-holder how to obtain an offline copy.
- If the video is private, login-gated, age-gated, or otherwise restricted, do not try to bypass the restriction or extract a protected stream. Respect the access controls and seek permission through an authorized channel.
If none of those authorized routes is available, do not download the video. The fact that a video can be watched in a browser does not establish a right to make a copy.
Are third-party downloader sites official or private?
A third-party service advertises xHamster video extraction, but its page says it is not affiliated with xHamster. Its descriptions of supported formats, device behavior, and privacy are the provider’s own claims—not xHamster policy or independently verified results. The provider says desktop and Android transfers go directly from xHamster to the browser, while its iPhone and iPad route uses a server relay; those claims do not establish that a transfer is safe, private, authorized, or available for a particular video.

Using a third-party tool does not change whether you have permission to copy a video. Do not treat a tool’s ability to retrieve a file as proof that the download is allowed. Its provider also says it cannot read private or login-gated videos; do not try to work around such restrictions.
