Save a public admission page as a PDF on a computer
- Open the specific university admission page and wait for its content to finish loading. For a login-protected page, sign in only through the university’s official website.
- Open Chrome’s print dialog using File > Print, Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux, or Command+P on a Mac.
- In the print dialog, choose Save as PDF or another PDF destination offered by your browser or operating system. The exact wording can vary by system.
- Review the preview. Check that the required text and sections appear, and look for cut-off content, blank pages, or awkward page breaks. If needed, try an available setting such as orientation or scale and inspect the preview again; results depend on how the university page is built.
- Select Save, choose a folder and a clear filename, then open the saved PDF to confirm it is readable.
Chrome’s desktop print controls allow you to open Print and adjust available settings. The preview is important because print pagination is not guaranteed to look the same on every website.

Save the page using Chrome on Android
- Open the admission page in Chrome and wait for it to finish loading.
- Tap More > Share > Print.
- In print preview, select Save as PDF, choose where to save the file, and complete the save.
- Open the saved PDF and check that the content is present and legible.
These steps are specifically for Chrome on Android. Other mobile browsers, phones, and operating-system versions may use different menus.

Download a submitted application or confirmation
A public admission page and an application already submitted through a portal are different documents. For a submitted form, sign in through the official admissions portal and check the dashboard for options such as Download, Print, or Application Status. Prefer a portal-generated PDF when one is available, especially if the university asks for an official application copy.

For example, Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) tells applicants to use the blue download icon under Application Status; its guidelines say the submitted application downloads as a PDF for printing. That is a GCAS-specific route, not a universal menu for Indian university portals. Other portals may use different labels or provide a confirmation document instead.
Check the university’s own instructions when the PDF is for an application
Saving a browser printout creates an offline copy; it does not submit an application or satisfy an upload requirement. Follow the university’s instructions for the relevant admission cycle if you need a formal document, must upload supporting files, or are completing an online form.

Troubleshooting a missing or awkward PDF
- There is no Save as PDF option: Check the print dialog’s destination choices; wording and available destinations vary by browser and operating system. On Chrome for Android, use the documented More > Share > Print route and choose Save as PDF.
- The PDF is blank or missing sections: Wait for the page to finish loading and inspect the print preview again. If the content requires an account, sign in through the official portal. For a submitted form, look for the portal’s own PDF download rather than printing a dashboard page.
- Text or tables are clipped: Check the preview and try available print settings such as orientation or scale. A different setting may help, but the result depends on the page.
- The saved file is difficult to find: Choose a known folder and memorable filename during the save, then reopen the file from that location to verify it.
- The portal’s labels do not match these steps: Portal workflows differ by institution and admissions cycle. Use that portal’s current instructions; the GCAS Application Status download icon is an example for GCAS only.
