Open the result page in desktop Chrome, press Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux—or ⌘+P on Mac—choose Save as PDF as the destination, check the preview, and save. This creates a PDF rendition of what the page displays; Chrome’s separate Save page as command saves the webpage itself in another format.
Save the result page as a PDF
- Open the relevant exam result page in desktop Chrome. If the result requires a login or candidate details, complete the official portal’s steps first. The fields and access process differ by examination body.
- Open Chrome’s print dialog with Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux, or ⌘+P on Mac. You can also open Chrome’s menu and choose Print.
- In the print dialog, set the destination to Save as PDF.
- Review the preview. Check that the candidate and result details are visible and legible, and that content is not clipped or split awkwardly. Adjust available print settings if needed; a dynamic page may not render perfectly. The Guidelines for Indian Government Websites and Apps include a checkpoint for content to print correctly on A4, but this is not a guarantee that every result page will fit neatly.
- Choose Save, select a location if prompted, and save the file.
- Open the saved PDF and check the details and surrounding context. A copy records what appeared when you printed it; it does not by itself certify authenticity or establish that a result is current.
Find the PDF if it is not where you expected
Chrome may save downloads to a default folder or ask you where to save each file, depending on your download settings. Check Chrome’s Downloads list and the configured download location if the PDF is not immediately visible. The setting names and dialogs can vary with Chrome updates and operating system.

Choose the right Chrome save option

For a PDF, use Print > Save as PDF. Chrome documents both actions separately: printing from Chrome and saving a page.

For example, the CBSE result portal requests candidate-specific information and says its online results are for immediate information, not original mark sheets. That statement applies to the sampled CBSE page; check the relevant exam authority’s current portal rather than assuming the same disclaimer applies everywhere.
Troubleshooting
The PDF is blank or missing result details
Check whether the portal finished loading and whether the result is visible on screen before printing. If access depends on a form or login, complete it through the official site first, then reopen Print and inspect the preview. A PDF only captures what Chrome displays in the print view.

Use the print preview to identify the problem before saving. Try the available print settings and check the updated preview. Do not assume a result will fit on one page or that the portal’s A4 print guidance ensures a particular layout.

You cannot find the file
Check Chrome’s Downloads list and the download location configured in Chrome. If Chrome is set to ask where to save files, look in the folder you chose for that print job.
