Charge the Anker Solix C2000 Gen 2 only at 32–104°F (0–40°C), with the supplied cable or original wiring, on a flat surface with ventilation openings clear. For storage, switch it off and keep it in a dry, cool, shaded place—not in a hot vehicle or a damp area. Check the battery monthly; if it is below 30%, charge it to 100%, and during extended non-use charge it fully at least once every three months.

The limits that matter most

The C2000 Gen 2 has different limits for charging, discharging and storage. Treat those limits as operating requirements rather than suggestions: charging outside the specified temperature range or exceeding an input rating can stop charging, trigger protection or damage equipment.

Condition Published limit or instruction What to do
Charging temperature 32–104°F (0–40°C) Move the station to a temperature-controlled location before connecting a charger.
Discharging temperature −4–104°F (−20–40°C) Do not assume that a temperature suitable for output use is suitable for charging.
DC input XT60i, 11–60V; up to 8.2A at 11–28V or 17A at 28–60V; 800W maximum Use original wiring and keep the source within both the voltage and current limits.
Solar wiring Panels connected in parallel; input voltage must not exceed 60V Verify the array’s voltage before plugging it into the XT60i input.
AC input 2,300W in the general A1783 guide; 1,800W in the US guide Use the rating printed for your regional unit and its supplied cable.
Storage interval Monthly capacity check; full charge at least every three months during extended non-use Turn the station off, inspect its charge level and perform the required recharge.

The two AC figures are not interchangeable. The A1783 documentation used in some regions states a 2,300W maximum, while the US documentation states 1,800W. Identify the market for your unit from its label and manual, then use that region’s rating; never apply the higher figure simply because it appears in another manual.

Prepare a safe charging location

Before choosing AC, solar or car input, establish the environment first. Charging is allowed only from 0°C to 40°C (32–104°F). A cold winter garage, a sun-heated patio and a vehicle that has been sitting in the sun can all fall outside that range even when the air temperature seems comfortable elsewhere.

  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
  • Place the station on a stable, flat surface. Keep it flat while charging, operating and storing.
  • Leave every ventilation opening unobstructed. Do not press the unit against a wall, cover it with fabric or place objects over its vents.
  • Keep the charging area dry and away from rain, splashes and high humidity. A water-resistant case protects during storage or transport; it does not make charging or operation in wet conditions safe.
  • Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from heaters or other heat sources.
  • Route the cable so that it is not pinched, sharply bent or exposed to vehicle doors, moving parts or foot traffic.

If the station has been in a very hot, cold or damp place, let it reach a dry indoor location within the charging range before connecting power. Do not try to compensate for an out-of-range temperature by using a lower-power adapter; the published charging range still applies.

AC charging, step by step

Confirm the regional rating

Read the specification label and the manual supplied with your C2000 Gen 2. The maximum AC input is region-dependent: the general A1783 guide lists 2,300W, while the US guide lists 1,800W. The lower figure in a US unit is the applicable limit even if you have seen the higher number elsewhere.

Connect the supplied cable

  1. Move the station to a dry, shaded, ventilated location between 32°F and 104°F (0°C and 40°C).
  2. Set it flat and make sure its ventilation openings are clear.
  3. Inspect the supplied AC cable and the station’s inlet for visible damage, moisture or debris. Do not use damaged wiring.
  4. Connect the supplied cable to the station and then to a properly installed AC outlet appropriate for your region.
  5. Watch the display for the charging indicator and confirm that the input value is behaving normally for your model. Stop if a warning appears, the cable becomes unusually hot or the connection is unstable.
  6. When charging is complete, disconnect in a controlled way and keep the station in the same dry, ventilated environment if it will remain in use.

The AC maximum is an input-power ceiling, not a promise that every outlet or circuit can deliver it. Household wiring, outlet ratings and local electrical rules still govern where you can connect the station. If you are uncertain about an outlet or an extension arrangement, use a qualified electrician rather than improvising an adapter or high-current connection.

Solar charging without exceeding the XT60i limits

Solar charging uses the C2000 Gen 2’s XT60i input. Anker specifies an input range of 11–60V, with up to 8.2A when the source is 11–28V and up to 17A when it is 28–60V. Maximum DC input power is 800W. The input voltage must never exceed 60V.

Wire panels in parallel

The supplied guidance calls for solar panels to be connected in parallel. Parallel wiring raises available current while keeping the array voltage at the panel-string voltage. Do not substitute a series arrangement unless the resulting configuration is explicitly compatible with the station’s input specification; a series connection can raise voltage beyond the 60V ceiling.

  1. Check the voltage of each panel and the proposed parallel array under the conditions specified by its manufacturer.
  2. Confirm that the array remains at or below 60V at the highest expected open-circuit voltage, not merely at a nominal operating voltage.
  3. Check current against the 8.2A or 17A limit that applies to the array voltage band, and keep total input power at or below 800W.
  4. Use compatible XT60i solar/PV wiring. Anker specifies original wiring for DC input; do not force a different connector or reverse polarity.
  5. Make connections with the station and source arranged as directed by the cable instructions, then verify that the display shows solar input without a warning.

Clouds and changing sunlight alter the power available from a panel, but they do not relax the voltage limit. Measure or calculate the array’s maximum voltage before connecting it, and keep the station itself in a shaded, dry place while the panels are outside. Solar is not automatically safer than AC: incorrect wiring or excessive voltage remains hazardous.

Car charging and vehicle use

Car charging is also a DC-input application. Use a compatible XT60i car-charging cable and the original wiring specified for the station. The same 11–60V input range, current limits and 800W maximum apply to the DC input; a vehicle socket or accessory circuit may provide far less than that maximum.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • Check the vehicle’s outlet rating and the cable’s compatibility before connecting.
  • Keep the station flat and ventilated while the vehicle is moving or parked.
  • Do not charge in a hot cabin, trunk, cargo bed or enclosed compartment exposed to direct sun. Anker’s regional guidance specifically warns against hot vehicles, trunks and cargo beds.
  • Protect the connection from rain, road spray and condensation. A storage case is not a license to charge in wet conditions.
  • Secure the station and cable so they cannot slide, be crushed or interfere with pedals, doors or other moving parts.

For a long journey, the safest arrangement is to charge in a temperature-controlled, dry location and transport the powered-off station separately when practical. A vehicle’s charging source does not override the environmental requirements.

Can you leave it plugged in?

The storage instructions do not describe indefinite, unattended connection as a storage mode. They direct you to turn the power station off and keep it in a dry, cool area, then check its capacity monthly. If the level is below 30%, charge it to 100%; during an extended period of non-use, fully charge it to 100% at least once every three months.

That routine is different from leaving the unit permanently connected as an always-on backup. If you are not actively using or charging it, follow the storage procedure rather than treating a connected cable as harmless. Keep any charging session within the 0–40°C range, maintain ventilation and respond to warnings. For a specific standby or UPS arrangement, follow the instructions for your regional model instead of assuming that the other region’s AC specification or behavior applies.

What temperature warnings mean

If the temperature icon appears, Anker’s instruction is direct: "When this icon appears, stop using the power station and let it cool down until the icon disappears." Stop the load or charging activity, move the station away from heat if you can do so safely, and leave it undisturbed in a dry, ventilated place. Do not continue cycling the power or reconnecting a charger to see whether the warning clears.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Resume only after the icon has disappeared and the station is within the published temperature range. If the warning returns in a normal environment, stop using the unit and consult the regional manual or Anker support; repeated alerts should not be bypassed.

Storage procedure for weeks or months

Before putting it away

  1. Finish the current charging or discharge session and switch the station off.
  2. Disconnect AC, solar and car cables, including any adapters attached to the XT60i input.
  3. Wipe away surface dust with a dry method and make sure the unit and connectors are completely dry. Do not store it while damp.
  4. Inspect the housing, ports and cables for damage. Set aside any damaged cable rather than using it at the next charging session.
  5. Choose a cool, dry, shaded location with a flat surface and unobstructed ventilation openings.

Monthly check

Check the battery capacity at least once each month. If the displayed level is below 30%, charge the station to 100% under the normal 0–40°C charging conditions, then switch it off again for storage. The 30% threshold is the trigger in the storage guidance; it is not a target storage percentage that replaces the required recharge.

Every three months during extended non-use

When the station will sit unused for an extended period, fully charge it to 100% at least once every three months. Plan this check on a calendar so it is not missed during seasonal storage. Perform the recharge in a dry, ventilated place, then power the station off and return it to storage.

Do not store the unit in a sealed, humid container, directly on a wet floor or where sunlight can heat the enclosure. The instruction to store it in a "dry and cool area" is a location requirement, not merely advice about comfort.

Garage, shed and vehicle storage decisions

Garage or shed

A garage or shed is suitable only if it stays dry and within a reasonable temperature range for the charging schedule. Before charging, measure the actual environment rather than assuming the room is safe. If the space can fall below 32°F or rise above 104°F, move the station indoors for charging. Keep it away from roof leaks, condensation, fuel vapors and direct sun, and leave the vents clear.

Car, trunk or cargo bed

Do not use a parked vehicle as long-term storage when it can become hot. Anker’s regional guidance warns against hot vehicles, trunks and cargo beds, as well as direct sunlight. A vehicle can also expose the station to rain, high humidity and rapid temperature swings. Transport it only when it is secured, protected from moisture and not left in heat; for storage, choose a cool, dry indoor location.

Water-resistant case

The C2000 Gen 2 water-resistant case is an accessory for storage protection. It does not change the station’s charging-temperature range, ventilation needs or prohibition on wet charging and operation. Open or remove protection as needed so the unit can remain dry and ventilated while charging.

Choosing among AC, solar and car input

Method Connector and wiring Electrical limits Best environmental setup Important qualification
AC Supplied regional AC cable 2,300W maximum in the general A1783 guide; 1,800W in the US guide Dry, shaded, ventilated indoor or otherwise temperature-controlled location Use the rating for the exact regional unit, not a figure from another market.
Solar XT60i with original or compatible PV wiring; panels in parallel 11–60V; 8.2A at 11–28V; 17A at 28–60V; 800W maximum; never over 60V Panels outside, station shaded and dry with vents unobstructed Variable sunlight does not permit over-voltage. Verify array voltage before connection.
Car XT60i-compatible car cable and original DC wiring Same DC input limits: 11–60V, current limits by voltage band, 800W maximum Station secured, dry and ventilated; avoid hot or sun-heated vehicles The vehicle outlet may supply less than the station’s maximum input.

No input method is automatically safer. Correct connector polarity, wiring, voltage, current, power and environmental conditions determine whether a charging setup is appropriate.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Common mistakes and the fix

  • Charging in a cold garage: Move the station above 32°F (0°C) before charging. Discharge tolerance down to −4°F (−20°C) does not authorize charging at that temperature.
  • Using a hot trunk as a storage locker: Remove the station from the vehicle and store it in a cool, dry, shaded place.
  • Putting solar panels in series by habit: Reconfigure for parallel wiring and verify the resulting voltage is no higher than 60V.
  • Using an unverified DC cable: Use the original wiring or a cable specifically compatible with the XT60i input and its limits.
  • Blocking the vents with a case or blanket: Keep ventilation openings unobstructed; use a case only in a way that preserves dry, safe storage.
  • Ignoring a temperature icon: Stop using the station and let it cool until the icon disappears.
  • Forgetting a stored unit: Check capacity monthly, charge to 100% when it is below 30%, and perform a full charge at least every three months during extended non-use.
  • Applying the wrong AC number: Check the regional label and manual. The US guide’s limit is 1,800W; the general A1783 guide lists 2,300W for applicable regions.

What the official guidance does not establish

Anker’s operating and maintenance instructions specify temperature, input and storage limits, but they do not publish a battery-cycle-life statistic or an independent fire-risk percentage for this model. Do not use an invented cycle count or probability to decide when to replace or store the station. Base decisions on the actual condition of the unit, its warnings and the limits in the applicable regional documentation.

A practical pre-charge and storage checklist

Before every charge

  • Is the station between 32°F and 104°F (0–40°C)?
  • Is it flat, dry, shaded and ventilated?
  • Are you using the supplied AC cable or original DC wiring?
  • For XT60i input, are voltage, current and total power within 11–60V, the applicable current limit and 800W?
  • For solar, are panels wired in parallel and is maximum array voltage no more than 60V?
  • For AC, did you confirm the rating for your regional unit?

Before storage

  • Is the station switched off and disconnected?
  • Is the location dry, cool, shaded and flat, with vents unobstructed?
  • Have you scheduled a monthly capacity check?
  • If storage will be extended, have you scheduled a full charge at least every three months?
  • Is the station outside any hot vehicle, direct sunlight, rain or high-humidity area?

Following these checks keeps the C2000 Gen 2 within the conditions Anker specifies for charging and storage, while avoiding the environmental and wiring errors most likely to create trouble.
