Yes—one JioFiber connection can carry two simultaneous YouTube playlist livestreams if your equipment or software can send both streams and your measured upload capacity has enough headroom. Add the two outgoing bitrates, then use YouTube’s guidance to aim for upload speed 1.5 to 2 times that combined total. Your plan’s advertised speed is not a substitute for testing at the place and time you will stream.
What you need before starting
- Two YouTube live events: Create or schedule one event for each playlist stream in YouTube Live Control Room. Each needs to receive the correct outgoing stream.
- A streaming setup that can originate both outputs: Your chosen playlist software, encoder, or hardware must support the workflow you intend to use. YouTube’s official setup guidance describes encoder streaming, but does not prescribe a playlist-specific method for sending two streams from one computer. Verify your software’s current capabilities and test it.
- Enough sustained upload bandwidth: The relevant load is the sum of both streams’ outgoing bitrates, not your download speed.
- Live streaming enabled on your channel: If you are enabling YouTube live streaming for the first time, YouTube says activation can take up to 24 hours. See YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.
Choose settings and calculate the upload target
Choose a resolution, frame rate, and codec for each stream, then select its bitrate using YouTube’s encoder recommendations as a starting point. The H.264 recommendations include 5 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps and 3 Mbps for 720p at 30 fps. Requirements vary with the content and settings; confirm the appropriate values in YouTube’s live encoder settings and bitrate guidance.

- Write down the target bitrate for stream one and stream two.
- Add them together. For example, two H.264 1080p30 streams at 5 Mbps each have a combined target of 10 Mbps.
- Multiply the combined target by 1.5 and 2 to get YouTube’s suggested upload-speed range. For that 10 Mbps combined target, aim for 15–20 Mbps measured upload.
- For two H.264 720p30 streams at 3 Mbps each, the combined target is 6 Mbps; the same guidance gives a 9–12 Mbps upload target.
These ranges are calculations from YouTube’s recommendations, not guarantees that a connection or computer will sustain the streams. YouTube explains the combined-bitrate method and 1.5–2× headroom in its simulstream guidance. Its streaming tips also warn that total streaming bitrate cannot exceed available upload bandwidth and that upload capacity may be shared with other devices and services.

- Create or schedule two events. In YouTube Live Control Room, create or schedule a separate event for each livestream. Confirm which playlist belongs to which event.
- Get the stream destination for each event. YouTube provides a stream URL and stream key in the event’s stream settings. Send each playlist output to the matching event’s destination; do not assume the same key or event mapping is correct for both. Review YouTube’s stream settings and key controls.
- Configure the playlist outputs. In your selected software or hardware, set the resolution, frame rate, codec, and bitrate for each output. Check that it can play or loop both playlists and originate two streams at once. The exact controls depend on that product, and YouTube’s documentation does not establish that a particular computer or playlist application can handle this workload.
- Check audio and playback. Confirm that each event receives the intended playlist, with audible audio and expected transitions. Watch for freezes, black frames, or mismatched content.
- Test both streams before relying on them. Run a realistic test and monitor stream health in Live Control Room. YouTube advises testing before an event and checking stream-health messages; see its encoder settings guidance.
Measure JioFiber upload capacity in real conditions
Test upload speed at the actual streaming location, preferably while typical household devices and services are in use. A download result does not establish that you have sufficient outbound capacity, and speed can vary with location, time, and network use.
#1 Best Overall
- DUAL-BAND WIFI 6 ROUTER: Wi-Fi 6(802.11ax) technology achieves faster speeds, greater capacity and reduced network congestion compared to the previous gen. All WiFi routers require a separate modem. Dual-Band WiFi routers do not support the 6 GHz band.
- AX1800: Enjoy smoother and more stable streaming, gaming, downloading with 1.8 Gbps total bandwidth (up to 1200 Mbps on 5 GHz and up to 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz). Performance varies by conditions, distance to devices, and obstacles such as walls.
- CONNECT MORE DEVICES: Wi-Fi 6 technology communicates more data to more devices simultaneously using revolutionary OFDMA technology
- EXTENSIVE COVERAGE: Achieve the strong, reliable WiFi coverage with Archer AX1800 as it focuses signal strength to your devices far away using Beamforming technology, 4 high-gain antennas and an advanced front-end module (FEM) chipset
- OUR CYBERSECURITY COMMITMENT: TP-Link is a signatory of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Secure-by-Design pledge. This device is designed, built, and maintained, with advanced security as a core requirement.
Jio’s plan comparison lists examples of symmetrical 30, 100, and 150 Mbps plans, meaning the advertised upload and download figures match for those examples. These are plan figures, not a measurement of your connection’s sustained upload while streaming. Check Jio’s current plan comparison for availability and details applicable to your address and plan.
Use the measured upload result as a practical check against your combined target and YouTube’s 1.5–2× headroom guidance. If the test falls short, or either stream’s health is unstable, reduce the bitrates—often by lowering resolution—or reduce other network use and test again. A connection upgrade is not automatically necessary; compare the measured performance and stability at your address before deciding.

Troubleshoot two-stream problems
- Both streams buffer or lose health at the same time: The combined outgoing bitrate may be too high for available upload, particularly when other devices are using the connection. Reduce both stream bitrates or household network load, then retest.
- One event shows the wrong playlist or no incoming stream: Check the stream URL and key assigned to that output and confirm it matches the intended event. YouTube lets you manage or reset stream keys in stream settings; if you reset one, update the corresponding encoder configuration.
- Upload tests look adequate but streaming is unstable: A speed-test result is a snapshot, not proof of sustained capacity. Repeat a test under typical household conditions and monitor Live Control Room stream-health alerts during a realistic two-stream test.
- The computer or encoder struggles: Two outgoing streams may demand more processing than the device or software can provide. YouTube’s guidance does not guarantee that one computer can encode both. Verify the software’s supported workflow and test both outputs; if needed, use a setup capable of originating two streams or lower the workload.
- Live streaming is not yet available: For a first-time channel setup, YouTube says enabling live streaming can take up to 24 hours. Complete activation ahead of the planned test.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is to keep playlist streams running without leaving a computer on at home, StreamNeo uploads and loops prerecorded videos from the cloud to YouTube. Upload the video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Its automatic recovery can restart the stream if YouTube drops it. Nothing at home has to stay on; uploaded quality is preserved up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, with no quality tiers. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for YouTube and plays uploaded videos, not a live camera feed. Learn more at StreamNeo, or start the free first day.
