Yes. One VPS can run independent Hindi- and Tamil-channel playlist schedules if you configure them as two separate jobs: each needs its own media list, YouTube channel stream configuration and key, scheduled broadcast, working files, and restart controls. The VPS is shared; the channel destinations and schedules are not. For a non-VPS option, StreamNeo keeps an uploaded-video YouTube stream running from the cloud.
How the two-channel setup works
Think of the VPS as a host for two encoder jobs, not as a single shared YouTube stream. Each job reads its own playlist and sends its output to the appropriate channel’s YouTube ingest configuration. Google’s API documentation specifies a different liveStream for each channel, and scheduled liveBroadcast resources belong to a channel. Keep the Hindi and Tamil channel resource IDs and credentials distinct.

Tamil job: playlist_tamil.txt -> FFmpeg -> Tamil channel ingest URL and stream keyThis is an implementation pattern, not a tested VPS specification. The documentation does not establish a minimum CPU, memory, bandwidth, disk size, or hosting plan. Capacity depends on the number of simultaneous encodes, their resolution, codec and bitrate, and whether the media files are stored on the VPS.
Choose how to schedule the YouTube broadcasts
YouTube Studio: direct setup and manual control
- Open the appropriate channel’s YouTube Studio and go to the Live Control Room.
- Schedule a broadcast for that channel and configure its stream in Studio. Use that channel’s server URL and stream key in the matching VPS job.
- Start the encoder job and wait for the stream preview in Live Control Room. Where the workflow requires it, click Go live to publish the broadcast.
- For a planned end, stop sending encoder output and end the stream in Live Control Room as appropriate for the current broadcast settings.
Check that channel’s current auto-start and auto-stop settings instead of assuming that sending encoder packets automatically publishes a scheduled broadcast. Repeat the setup separately for the other channel. YouTube’s interface and labels can change.

YouTube Data API: programmatic scheduling
- Authorize using an OAuth/API context permitted by the relevant channel owner.
- Create a
liveStreamfor each destination channel, keeping each channel’s authorization and resource IDs separate. - Create and bind the relevant channel’s
liveBroadcastresources to that channel’s stream resource. - Configure the VPS job to send encoder output to the correct channel stream and to select the intended broadcast for each scheduled start.
The API documentation supports reusing a channel’s stream resource for that same channel’s scheduled broadcasts when encoder settings remain the same. That does not make one channel’s stream resource interchangeable with another’s. The API route is useful when your schedule needs programmatic creation or management; it requires the relevant channel authorization and API work. Studio is the more direct route when you are comfortable managing broadcasts there.
Build and isolate the playlist jobs on the VPS
Prepare one media list per language
Keep Hindi and Tamil media in separate directories and maintain a separate FFmpeg concat list for each job. FFmpeg’s concat demuxer reads listed files sequentially as one virtual input. The files need compatible streams, codecs, and time bases; inaccurate duration information can produce timestamp gaps or other artifacts. Inspect and, if needed, normalize clips before relying on a schedule.

Run independent services
- Use separate service definitions or scheduled jobs, working directories, log files, and restart policies for the two encoders.
- Store each channel’s stream key in its own restricted secret file or environment configuration. Do not commit keys to source control or paste them into public diagnostics.
- Set each process to read only its language’s playlist and use only that channel’s ingest URL, key, and scheduled broadcast.
- Decide how missed starts should be handled: for example, configure a retry or alert independently for each job. Treat this as an operational choice, not a YouTube guarantee.
Separate process state makes it easier to identify which channel failed and reduces the chance that an edit to one playlist or credential silently changes the other job.
Test both schedules before depending on them
Run each channel’s stream privately or unlisted first. Confirm that the intended broadcast receives the intended language playlist, that the preview appears, that audio and video play through clip transitions, and that the broadcast’s start and stop behavior matches the Studio settings. Check logs separately for both jobs and verify that restarting one does not interrupt the other.

Plan VPS capacity and operating behavior
One host can run both jobs as a design choice, but the available evidence does not specify a universal server size. Estimate demand from the actual media and whether FFmpeg is encoding or passing through compatible source streams. Two simultaneous jobs also use host resources and network capacity at the same time. Check your VPS provider’s limits and monitor CPU, memory, disk space, and outbound traffic during a representative run.
Keep enough local storage for the media you intend to loop, and make sure the server’s clock and scheduled-job timezone match your intended schedule. These are deployment checks, not a substitute for confirming the broadcast schedule and controls in YouTube.

Troubleshoot common failures
The stream appears in the wrong channel
Stop the affected job and compare its configured ingest URL, stream key, and broadcast/resource IDs with the channel’s Studio or API configuration. Check the Hindi and Tamil secret files independently; do not solve a mismatch by sharing one channel’s credentials.
The encoder is sending data, but the broadcast is not live
Check the Live Control Room preview and the broadcast’s auto-start/auto-stop settings. Some workflows require an operator to click Go live; sending encoder output alone does not guarantee publication. Confirm that the job targets the scheduled broadcast you intend to start.

Playback breaks between playlist files
Check that the concat list points to the expected files and that their streams, codecs, and time bases are compatible. Verify duration information and inspect transitions. Normalize mismatched media, then test the revised playlist before restoring the regular schedule.

One channel’s restart affects both jobs
Review service definitions, process IDs, working directories, and restart commands. Give the Hindi and Tamil encoders independent services and logs, and ensure a restart action addresses only the intended service.
A scheduled start is missed
Check whether the VPS job was running at the scheduled time, whether it selected the correct broadcast, and whether channel authorization or stream settings changed. Add per-job logging and an alert or retry policy if unattended recovery is important; no retry behavior is guaranteed by the architecture alone.
Copyright and channel-content checks
Use media you have the rights to stream on each channel. A playlist being pre-recorded does not itself establish permission to broadcast its music, video, or other material. Review YouTube’s current policies and any applicable rights before scheduling, and keep each channel’s title, description, and content appropriate to that channel. The cited platform material does not establish that a particular Hindi or Tamil language setting is required to keep schedules separate.
