You can run a Hindi video playlist as a continuous YouTube Live stream by keeping the files and an encoder on a Linode Linux instance, then sending the feed to YouTube with the stream URL and key from YouTube Studio. The encoder must be configured to loop the playlist; the exact setup depends on the media software and source files. You will also need to monitor the server and stream, plan for interruptions, and have the rights to stream every video and audio track.
Before you begin: confirm the channel and content are ready
Check YouTube Live eligibility
Verify the channel and confirm it has no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. First-time live streaming activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable it before you plan to start. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility requirements.

Clear rights for every item in the playlist
Check rights for each recording, performance, video, and music track, including permission for online live streaming and, if relevant, archiving. Owning a copy or having a Hindi-language playlist does not establish those rights. YouTube scans live feeds for third-party content; a match can trigger a warning, placeholder, interruption, or termination. Even licensed content can be interrupted if the channel is not added to the rights holder’s Content ID allowlist. Review YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams and its terms.

Linode, now part of Akamai Cloud, provides Linux virtual machines. Pick an instance based on what your encoder actually does, not simply on the fact that it runs one stream. Transcoding video uses more CPU than passing through media that is already compatible; storage must fit the files, and outbound data must fit the instance’s transfer allowance.
#1 Best Overall
- Dynamic RGB lighting effect USB gaming microphone: Built-in multiple RGB lights to change various color modes by itself in a dynamic changing way. And you can choose to turn on/off the RGB light.
- Noise cancellation podcast microphone: With the noise canceling function, the mic can effectively reduce the background noises, such as typing, clicking, outdoor noise, etc., making your sound clear and crisp.
- Real-Time Monitor USB Computer Microphone: The desk gaming microphone's 3.5mm stereo headphone output provides direct, latency-free monitoring! It allows you to monitor the microphone input in realtime. 3-pole TRS and 4-pole TRRS headphones are supported.
- Volume Gain: USB Recording microphone with additional volume knob itself has a louder output and is more sensitive, your voice would be heard well enough when gaming, live streaming, skyping or voice recording.
- Quick Mute USB asmr microphone: A quick-mute button on the bottom is within easy reach, and you can instantly mute the mic even when you're concentrating on your game. When the microphone is muted, the RGB will be solid green; when the microphone is working, the RGB will resume gradient.
- CPU: Allow for the encoder’s measured load, especially if it resizes or re-encodes the videos. Test with the actual source media and intended settings.
- Memory and storage: Choose enough RAM for the operating system and media process, and enough disk space for the playlist if the files will reside on the instance.
- Outbound transfer: Estimate monthly data from the stream bitrate and running time, then compare it with the allowance and any applicable overage terms. Linode’s compute-instance documentation describes plan-dependent transfer allowances and metered outbound transfer.
- Operations: Decide how the encoder will restart after an error or host reboot, and how you will notice a failed process or stream. Restart handling and monitoring are implementation choices, not an automatic guarantee from the host.
Akamai’s plan overview, updated in 2026, lists Shared CPU plans starting at $5/month and Dedicated CPU plans starting at $36/month; actual prices and availability can vary. Check the current pricing and regional availability before provisioning. An older Linode RTMP guide used a 1 GB instance for one stream in its particular example. That is not a universal recommendation or a current performance guarantee for a 24/7 playlist, especially if you transcode.
Set up the YouTube event and encoder
- Create or schedule the stream. In YouTube Studio, create a live stream using the encoder workflow. Copy the server URL and stream key shown for that event. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or place it in publicly accessible scripts or logs. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.
- Prepare the files and playlist. Put the video files somewhere the Linux process can read them, then configure a playlist-capable encoder or media process to play them in the desired order and loop. The exact playlist syntax and loop behavior depend on the software and input formats; verify the selected tool’s current instructions rather than assuming one command works for every playlist.
- Choose the delivery path. If the encoder can send directly to YouTube, an NGINX RTMP relay is optional. A relay adds another service to configure and monitor; use one only if your design needs it. Linode’s older NGINX RTMP and FFmpeg guide is an Ubuntu 20.04 implementation example, not a current guarantee about performance or package instructions.
- Configure the output. Use the event’s server URL and stream key. Prefer RTMPS where available. YouTube recommends constant bitrate and a two-second keyframe interval; do not exceed four seconds. Set resolution and bitrate to match the source, the encoder’s capacity, and YouTube’s current guidance in its live encoder settings.
- Start and preview. Start the encoder on Linode, then check the incoming preview in YouTube’s Live Control Room. Complete the event’s start flow if YouTube prompts you to do so. Check audio and video before leaving it unattended.
Keep the playlist running and monitor it
A continuous stream depends on the whole chain: accessible media files, a live encoder process, the instance, outbound network capacity, and YouTube accepting the feed. YouTube recommends leaving 20% network bandwidth headroom above the stream’s bitrate. Monitor resource use, the encoder process, file readability, outbound traffic, and the Live Control Room preview. Build a recovery plan for process exits, file-read errors, and network interruptions; a self-managed Linode setup does not establish a guaranteed 24/7 availability level.

YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume a single uninterrupted stream of any length will be saved as one video. If archive availability matters, plan stream segments and confirm current YouTube behavior.

| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube shows no incoming video | The encoder is not sending, or the server URL or stream key is incorrect. | Confirm the event’s current URL and key, encoder output settings, process status, and outbound network. Keep the key private while checking it. |
| The preview appears, but the event is not live | The event may still require a start action in YouTube Studio. | Check the Live Control Room and complete its event-start flow if prompted. |
| Playback stops when one file ends | The playlist configuration may not be set to repeat, or the next file cannot be read. | Check the selected media software’s loop configuration, playlist order, file paths, and permissions. |
| Video stutters or the encoder falls behind | Possible causes include insufficient CPU for transcoding, inadequate bandwidth, or unsuitable output settings. | Check actual CPU load and network headroom; distinguish transcoding from passing through compatible media, then adjust the workload or instance based on measurements. |
| The feed is interrupted for a copyright issue | A third-party match or rights restriction can affect the live feed. | Review the notice, verify rights for the specific content, and ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting where licensed content is involved. |
| The process exits or the feed drops | A process, host, file, or network failure may have stopped delivery. | Inspect process output and system resources, confirm the files and network are available, and use your configured restart and alerting approach. Verify the stream is back in YouTube’s preview. |
Cost and sizing considerations
Linode’s compute cost is only one part of running the stream: account for the plan’s outbound transfer terms, the disk space needed for the playlist, and the ongoing work of monitoring and recovery. Estimate transfer using the stream’s sustained bitrate and the hours you expect to run it, then compare that estimate with the allowance for the chosen plan. There is no universally correct instance size in the available plan information; workload, encoding settings, region, and transfer needs determine fit.
