You can keep recorded Kannada coaching classes playing on a YouTube Live watch page by sending a feed from an encoder to a stream created in YouTube Studio. The encoder must play your lesson sequence, and the computer or hardware running it must remain powered and connected. YouTube does not promise uninterrupted operation or a complete archive for a continuous stream, so test the full setup, monitor it, and plan for breaks and local backups.
Before you start: channel access, recordings and rights
Confirm that the channel can go live
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. If this is the channel’s first live stream, activation can take up to 24 hours. Check access before scheduling a launch: YouTube Help: Get started with live streaming.

Check the rights for every part of each lesson
You must have the necessary rights to broadcast the class recordings and their contents on Google services. A teacher’s permission to use a lesson recording may not cover background music, images, slides, video clips or other third-party material embedded in it. Review and clear those elements separately where needed. YouTube’s livestream terms also require compliance with its Community Guidelines and applicable laws: Livestream terms and conditions.
Organize a reliable lesson sequence
Make a playlist or playback sequence from recordings you are authorized to broadcast. Check that files play from beginning to end, audio is audible, picture and captions are suitable for your students, and transitions do not leave long unintended silences. Keep the original files somewhere separate from the encoder so a local playback or storage problem does not destroy your only copy.

Set up the YouTube Live feed
- Open YouTube Studio and create or schedule a stream. In YouTube Studio, open Create > Go live to enter Live Control Room, then create a stream or schedule one. The exact controls can vary with account and Studio changes.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key into your encoder. YouTube’s encoder workflow uses these details to route the feed to the correct live event. Choose software that can play or receive your prepared class sequence, or use standalone encoder hardware. YouTube documents both software and hardware encoder approaches but does not establish one particular looping setup as guaranteed.
- Protect the stream key. Treat it like a password: do not publish it, show it in a tutorial, or include it in a screenshot. If you think someone else has obtained it, reset the key in Live Control Room and update the encoder with the replacement. See YouTube Help: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- Configure playback and the encoder. Set the encoder to send the prepared class feed to the stream you created. Confirm that it is using the intended audio and video sources and that the playlist advances as expected. YouTube’s cited guidance does not prescribe a universal looping configuration or guarantee a particular encoder’s behavior, so verify the chosen software or hardware’s own setup instructions.
- Run a private or unlisted test before announcing the stream. Check the Studio preview, picture, sound, lesson changes, network stability and watch page on both a computer and a phone. If you are recording a local archive, confirm that the file appears and continues growing as expected. YouTube advises checking the preview, testing failover where applicable, validating local recordings, and monitoring audio and video: YouTube Help: Set up your stream.
Plan stream length around replay and DVR
A live feed and its later replay are separate things. YouTube says that streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, but warns that if a stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all. Do not promise viewers they can replay a full day from the watch page. Read YouTube Help: Archive live streams.
DVR is another distinct feature: it lets viewers rewind during a live broadcast, whereas an archive is the recording available after the broadcast. YouTube warns that DVR may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. If students need a dependable replay, consider breaking the schedule into shorter sessions and confirm current Studio behavior; keep a separate local recording as a backup. See YouTube Help: Turn on DVR on live streams.
Keep the stream operating and respond to failures
A local encoder setup depends on the device that plays and sends the feed, its power, and its network connection. Arrange for someone—or a reliable operating process—to notice a stalled lesson, encoder failure, dropped connection or silent audio. Monitor both picture and sound rather than assuming that a stream shown as live is playing correctly. If your encoder supports failover, test it before relying on it; YouTube’s guidance does not promise uninterrupted service.

- Playback stops or repeats the wrong class: Check the playlist order, source-file availability and the encoder’s playback state; test transitions again before restoring the public stream.
- The live preview is missing or not reaching the event: Confirm you selected the intended Studio stream and copied its current stream URL and key into the encoder. Keep the key private; reset it in Live Control Room if it may be compromised.
- Video appears but audio is silent or unclear: Check the selected audio source and levels in the encoder, then verify sound in the Studio preview and on a separate device.
- The stream drops when the computer or network stops: Restore power or connectivity and check the encoder’s status before resuming. A local setup requires the playback-and-encoding device and its connection to remain available.
- The expected YouTube replay is missing or incomplete: Check the stream’s duration and Studio status. Streams over 12 hours may not be captured at all; use the local archive if the YouTube replay is unavailable.
Understand rights and monetization separately
Permission to broadcast a class does not automatically make it eligible for monetization. YouTube’s monetization policy applies to livestreams and identifies repetitive or mass-produced material as “inauthentic content” that is ineligible for monetization. Replaying a library of lessons should not be treated as automatically eligible merely because it is sent as a live feed. The policy page notes a clarification dated July 15, 2025: YouTube channel monetization policies.
YouTube lists ads, Super Chat and Super Stickers, and channel memberships as live-stream revenue features, but availability depends on eligibility and settings; ad slots are not guaranteed to serve. See YouTube Help: Turn on ads for live streams. Review the current requirements in Studio rather than building a coaching schedule around assumed revenue.
