You can run an authorized playlist of recorded Malayalam CBSE lessons as a continuous YouTube livestream by creating a broadcast in YouTube Studio, sending its stream URL and private stream key to an encoder or playout service, and monitoring the Live Control Room. YouTube does not require a particular computer, hardware encoder, or cloud service. The channel must be eligible to livestream, and you need permission to rebroadcast every lesson.
Check YouTube eligibility and lesson rights first
- Your channel must be verified and must not have had a livestream restriction in the previous 90 days. First-time live activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it before your planned start. YouTube requires livestreamers to be at least 16 years old. YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility rules explain the requirements.
- Get permission for every recording before making it publicly available. A lesson being for CBSE, educational, or already in your possession does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast it. YouTube requires livestreams to follow its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service; the rights to a particular lesson library must be confirmed with its owner.
- Keep a record of the rights holder, permission granted, and any limits on audience, territory, duration, or monetization. Do not add a lesson to the playlist unless the permission covers the intended public livestream.
Choose how to play the lesson playlist
YouTube accepts streams sent by an encoder. As YouTube puts it, “An encoder converts your video into a digital format to stream on YouTube.” The encoder or playout system handles the recorded videos; YouTube receives the resulting live feed. Options include software on a computer, dedicated hardware, or a cloud playout service. These are operational choices, not YouTube prerequisites.

For any approach, test a complete playlist cycle before depending on it. Confirm that titles appear in the intended order, speech is audible, board writing and slide text remain legible, and the feed resumes as expected after a brief connection interruption. Continuous operation is an engineering goal, not a platform guarantee.

Create the YouTube livestream and connect the encoder
- Sign in to the channel in YouTube Studio. Select Create → Go Live, then create a livestream or schedule one for the intended start time. If livestreaming is not enabled yet, allow up to 24 hours for activation.
- In the stream’s setup details, copy the YouTube server URL and stream key into the corresponding fields in your encoder or playout service. Labels differ across tools; use the encoder’s YouTube or custom RTMP stream destination settings as appropriate.
- Treat the stream key like a password. Do not publish it in a lesson description, share it with viewers, or include it in screenshots. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- Load the authorized Malayalam lesson playlist in the encoder or playout system. Configure it to play continuously if the selected tool provides that option; playlist and restart controls are vendor-specific, not a universal YouTube setting.
- Start sending the feed from the encoder. In YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, wait for and inspect the preview before going live to viewers. Check sound, picture, lesson order, and stream health rather than assuming that a connected encoder means the output is correct.

Make the lesson feed usable in Malayalam
- Use clear lesson titles and context in Malayalam so viewers can identify the subject and sequence. Keep titles accurate to what the recording actually teaches.
- Check the preview at the same aspect ratio and size viewers will see. A board or slide that is readable on the production monitor may be too small on a phone.
- YouTube supports horizontal and vertical livestream options, including vertical livestream discovery in the Shorts feed. A vertical crop can cut off board work or slide text; preview the layout before starting. YouTube says the vertical option cannot be added after the stream starts. Review YouTube’s vertical livestream information.
- Listen for clear speech and check that the lesson audio does not disappear between videos. Review the opening, transitions, and at least one complete playlist cycle before leaving the stream unattended.
Plan for monitoring and archives
Check the Live Control Room preview and stream health during setup and while the broadcast runs. YouTube’s Live Streaming API also exposes stream health status and configuration issue information, useful if your playout workflow uses the API. YouTube LiveStreams API documentation describes those fields.
YouTube automatically archives streams that are under 12 hours. Do not assume one uninterrupted 24/7 broadcast will be saved as a single complete video. Preserve the original lesson files separately and decide how to create manageable archives—for example, by scheduling shorter broadcast sessions and retaining their resulting recordings. Troubleshoot common problems
